Kehadiran Journal Informatic, Education And Management (JIEM) tidak hanya bermaksud untuk mempublikasikan hasil kajian empiris dan teoritis terkait dengan system informasi, system komputer, pendidikan, dan manajemen. Abstract

In the era of the Internet of Things (IoT), data privacy and security issues have become a primary concern in information systems. This research aims to investigate the underlying vulnerabilities of information systems concerning data privacy and security in the context of IoT. The research methods employed include literature surveys, case analyses, and reviews of best practices in data protection. The findings highlight several key vulnerability points, including weaknesses in credential management, network attacks, and deficiencies in data encryption implementation. Moreover, the findings indicate that despite advancements in security technology, significant gaps still exist that can be exploited by unethical parties to access users' IoT personal data. In conclusion, data protection in the context of IoT requires a holistic approach involving preventive measures, detection, and rapid response to evolving security threats. This research underscores the importance of data security education and awareness among IoT users and the necessity of collaboration among government, industry, and society to address these challenges.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the adoption and impact of cloud computing on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through a systematic approach. The research method involves analyzing a number of relevant and verified scientific articles, focusing on technology adoption, benefits gained, and challenges faced by SMEs in adopting cloud computing technology. The analysis results show that cloud computing adoption among SMEs has significantly increased in recent years, with benefits including operational efficiency, scalability, and data accessibility. However, there are some obstacles faced, including data security issues, resource limitations, and challenges in integrating with existing systems. In conclusion, although cloud computing adoption holds great potential benefits for SMEs, associated challenges need to be addressed with careful strategies.

Abstract

The use of the Internet of Things (IoT) has become an integral part of efforts to develop efficient and sustainable smart cities. This research aims to investigate the integration of IoT in the context of systemic urban management. The research methods employed include in-depth literature studies, comprehensive policy document analysis, and field research to understand IoT implementation in several smart cities. The results indicate that a systemic approach to integrating IoT in urban management is crucial to achieving efficiency and sustainability. This integration involves various aspects, including physical infrastructure, information systems, policies, and community participation. In this context, the research highlights the importance of developing integrated and interoperable IoT infrastructure, open data platforms, and adequate regulatory frameworks. Additionally, community participation in designing and utilizing IoT solutions is a key factor for successful implementation. By analyzing case studies in several smart cities, this research also provides insights into the challenges faced and strategies employed in integrating IoT into urban management. Based on these findings, the research concludes that a systemic approach encompassing cross-sector collaboration, proven technology use, and active community participation is necessary for successful IoT integration in urban management. This research contributes to expanding the understanding of IoT implementation in a broader urban context and provides practical guidance for policymakers, practitioners, and academics involved in smart city development.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a framework that explains ethical considerations in the responsible development of Information Systems (IS) related to artificial intelligence (AI). The research method used involved a thorough literature review to identify relevant ethical principles in the context of AI and IS. Apart from that, an in-depth analysis of various existing models and frameworks was also carried out to understand ethical considerations in technology development. The result of this research is a framework consisting of a series of ethical principles that must be considered at every stage of IS development that uses AI technology. This framework considers not only the technical aspects of system development, but also relevant social, legal and cultural aspects. Through the application of this framework, IS developers can ensure that the resulting products are not only of high technical quality, but also pay attention to their impact on individuals, society and the environment. The conclusions of this research emphasize the importance of including ethical considerations as an integral part of the IS development process that uses AI to achieve the goals of socially responsible technology development.

Abstract

This research intends to assess the influence of blockchain technology adoption on operational efficiency and consumer trust in digital enterprises. Blockchain technology, with its decentralized, transparent and safe properties, is predicted to have a favorable impact on several elements of business operations and boost consumer trust. The research method employed is a quantitative approach by collecting data through surveys and interviews with organizations that have incorporated blockchain technology. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to test the stated hypotheses. The research results demonstrate that the deployment of blockchain technology greatly boosts operational efficiency, particularly in terms of reduced transaction costs, increased processing speed, and reduced operational errors. Apart from that, customer confidence has also improved dramatically, notably in areas of openness, security and data protection. These findings demonstrate that blockchain technology not only contributes to enhancing the operational performance of enterprises, but also boosting the trust relationship between firms and consumers. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of blockchain technology has a considerable positive influence on operational efficiency and consumer trust in digital enterprises. Therefore, organizations working in the digital ecosystem are recommended to explore integrating blockchain technology as a strategy to boost competitiveness and consumer trust.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the implementation of blockchain technology in the administration of student data in educational institutions and evaluate its efficacy and security in comparison to conventional systems. This study utilizes a qualitative methodology and adopts a case study approach to examine the implementation of blockchain technology in multiple schools. Data were acquired through in-depth interviews with school IT professionals, administrators, and blockchain technology specialists, as well as research of documentation relating to student data management policies and procedures. The results of the study reveal that the application of blockchain technology in student data management has several significant advantages, including greater data security, transparency, and operational efficiency. Blockchain ensures that student data is protected and may only be accessed by authorized individuals, eliminating the danger of data leakage and manipulation. In addition, the openness given by blockchain allows for real-time tracking of data changes, permitting more accurate audits and monitoring. This study, however, revealed significant problems in the application of blockchain technology in schools, such as the need for suitable infrastructure, high implementation costs, and a lack of awareness and technical skills among school staff. In conclusion, although blockchain technology offers numerous benefits in student data management, the success of its deployment rests greatly on the technical and financial readiness of educational institutions, as well as the necessity for sufficient training and socializing for users.

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to conduct a conceptual review of the literature studies that focus on the link between application-based digital marketing methods and the development of consumer satisfaction and sales. The study's findings indicate that digital marketing is a marketing strategy that capitalizes on the advancement of information and digital technology. Implementing this strategy in a business must consider various internal and external factors to determine the suitability and most appropriate digital marketing strategy for maximum results according to the set objectives. Online systems are not constrained by time, and they have the ability to determine the timing, audience, location, and duration of their marketing campaigns. This presents a significant opportunity for business growth. Digital marketing provides a plethora of engaging, practical, and limitless content, and digital technology enables business owners to quantify the impact of their content on sales. Additionally, business owners have the ability to visit an unlimited number of online platforms, such as social media, web pages, and other accounts, which can attract loyal customers and increase profits. This paper reviews conceptually based on literature studies on the relationship between application-based digital marketing strategies in expanding sales and customer satisfaction. For further research, we can examine the efficiency of implementing digital marketing strategies and the factors that influence them so that they can be input and recommendations for business actors or companies in implementing digital-based and internet-connected marketing systems so that they can increase consumer satisfaction.

Abstract

Integrated learning has become a prominent approach in elementary education, aiming to provide students with a holistic understanding of various subjects. This literature review examines the implementation of integrated learning at SD 4 Bireuen. The findings suggest that integrated learning positively impacts students' understanding of learning materials and fosters interdisciplinary skills development. However, challenges such as insufficient teacher training and support hinder its effective implementation. The role of school principals is crucial in facilitating integrated learning practices. Despite its potential benefits, concerted efforts from various stakeholders are necessary to overcome implementation challenges and enhance the effectiveness of integrated learning at SD 4 Bireuen.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach in improving student learning outcomes on heat material at SMP Negeri 2 Juli. The research employs an experimental method with a pre-test and post-test design involving two groups of students: an experimental group that received instruction using the STEM approach and a control group that used conventional methods. The results show that students who participated in learning with the STEM approach experienced a significant improvement in their understanding of heat concepts, as reflected in the higher average post-test scores compared to the control group. These findings indicate that the STEM approach is not only effective in enhancing learning outcomes on heat material but also motivates students to be more active, creative, and critical in the learning process. Therefore, the STEM approach is recommended for broader implementation in science education at SMP Negeri 2 Juli.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of mobile learning applications in teaching plant anatomy to undergraduate students. As educational technology evolves, mobile apps offer new opportunities for interactive and flexible learning. The research compares student outcomes between two groups: one using a mobile learning app and the other receiving traditional instruction. Using a quasi-experimental method, data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, and student questionnaires. The findings show that students using mobile apps achieved significantly higher post-test scores and demonstrated better engagement and motivation. The visual and interactive features of the apps helped learners grasp complex anatomical structures more effectively. Despite some technical challenges, such as limited device compatibility, the study concludes that mobile learning apps are a promising tool to enhance plant anatomy instruction. Integration of such tools into the curriculum is recommended to support active and autonomous learning.
