Abstract

This research examined the factors that affect Sharia Bank Performance of the state-owned Islamic banks in Indonesia. Data were collected by distributing an online questionnaire to a total of 250 Muslim customers. Furthermore, the collected data were analyzed using SEMPLS. The findings indicate that Financial Technology (fintech), Customer Behavior (CB) and Employee Engagement (EM) can enhance Sharia Bank Performance (SBP). This suggested that, in Padang West Sumatera Indonesia, where most of the population is Muslim, businesses prioritizing Shariah compliance through Employee Engagement are more likely to retain customers. This research provides empirical evidence to Islamic banks regarding the significance of Employee Engagement. The study suggests that, based on its findings, the various branch managers in charge of EM should develop, nurture, and maintain attractive EM practices as an system to help boost bank performance Based on the findings, bank management tends to consider to integrate the Financial Technology, Customer Behavior and Employee Engagement, into the banking business model.

Abstract

Analysis of conductor reliability on 150 kV high voltage overhead lines (SUTT) against electric field strength is important to ensure the stability and safety of electricity distribution. This study aims to analyze the impact of electric field strength generated by 150 kV SUTT conductors on the operational reliability of the line, including its effect on system performance and the safety of the surrounding environment. Measurements and simulations of electric field strength were carried out at various distances from the conductor to understand the distribution of the electric field generated. The results of the study indicate that high electric fields around the conductor can affect the performance of the insulator, increase the risk of corona, and reduce the operational life of the line components. In addition, the electric field generated can also affect human health if exposure exceeds the limits recommended by safety standards. From the results of this analysis, it is recommended to routinely monitor the electric field strength around the line and implement mitigation measures to ensure long-term operational safety and reliability.

Abstract

In the 2020-2022 period, the achievement of the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) of Bekasi Regency, West Java, has not been optimal. This is due to SAKIP not being a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) in the 2017-2022 Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD). As a result, programs, activities, and budgets do not support the achievement of SAKIP. This research uses the strategic management theory of Wheelen Hunger (2012), including: Environmental Scanning (external opportunities and threats, internal strengths and weaknesses), Strategy Formulation (mission, goals, strategies, policies), Strategy Implementation (programs, budgets, procedures ), and Evaluation and Control (performance). This research was conducted using qualitative methods and deductive analysis, utilizing interview data, documents, and statistics. The results show that strategic management in Bekasi Regency has not been optimal, especially in the aspect of Environmental Scanning which has not been given enough attention. In addition, strategy formulation, implementation, control, and evaluation are still weak. To optimize the strategic management of SAKIP, regular evaluation is needed through a continuous strategic management model that includes all stages of strategic management. Strengthening leadership, political and budgetary commitment to strategy formulation, implementation and evaluation is key. This optimization involves applying the updated Wheelen Hunger-based strategic model as needed.

Abstract

Single-mode optical fibers are widely used in modern communication systems due to their high data transmission capacity and low signal attenuation. However, the physical condition of the optical fiber, such as bending caused by mechanical pressure, can affect transmission performance. This research aims to analyze the effect of pressurized bending on single-mode optical fibers and its impact on the attenuation of transmitted light intensity. Experiments were conducted by varying the bending radius and pressure applied to the optical fiber to measure changes in the received light intensity. The results show that as the bending radius decreases and the applied pressure increases, the attenuation of light intensity increases significantly. The reduction in light intensity occurs due to the leakage of light modes from the fiber core as a result of physical deformation in the fiber structure. These findings are important for designing more efficient and resilient optical fiber installations, especially in environments prone to physical pressure and bending.
