Abstract

This study aims to conduct a financial feasibility study of Perum DAMRI's business in the Serang branch with a focus on the transportation routes of Tanjung Lesung and Sawarna national tourism strategic areas. The study combines cost analysis, economic benefits, and financial aspects to evaluate DAMRI's operational performance on these routes. Through cost analysis, it was found that several factors such as vehicle operating costs, fuel, terminal levies, and tire replacement costs have an impact on DAMRI's profit margin. Furthermore, the economic benefit analysis shows that DAMRI can make a positive contribution to the national tourism area by providing better transportation access, but the results still need to be improved. However, when looking at the financial aspects, the two-year Net Present Value (NPV) analysis shows that DAMRI incurred losses in this project. A negative NPV, especially with a discount rate of 12.5%, indicates that the project did not achieve financial viability within the first two years of operation. However, the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) analysis reveals that the project has the potential to generate profitable returns, with an internal rate of return of approximately 13.68%. This suggests that if DAMRI can maintain or improve its operational efficiency, the project has the opportunity to be financially successful in the future. In conclusion, from various analysis perspectives, including BCR, NPV, and IRR, this DAMRI route business is currently not achieving the expected financial viability. Therefore, effective strategies and efforts are needed to ensure the viability and sustainability of DAMRI's operations on this route. Strategic measures could include improving operational efficiency, monitoring and controlling costs, and improving service management. More specific suggestions could involve improvements in cost management, fleet renewal, increased tourism promotion, cooperation with related parties, and the development of services that better suit passenger needs. With concerted efforts, DAMRI can maximize its business potential in Tanjung Lesung and Sawarna tourism areas and achieve better financial viability.

Abstract

The design of Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control systems is a critical aspect of control engineering to achieve system stability and optimal performance. How-ever, tuning PID parameters often poses challenges due to the complex analytical ap-proaches required. This study analyzes the application of GeoGebra, a dynamic mathe-matics software, in designing PID control systems visually. GeoGebra is utilized to model control systems, visualize system responses, and perform interactive PID parameter tun-ing. The study involves simulations of simple linear systems, such as actuator position control, to evaluate the effectiveness of the GeoGebra method compared to traditional approaches. The analysis focuses on performance parameters, including rise time, peak time, and steady-state error. The results demonstrate that GeoGebra simplifies the PID parameter tuning process through intuitive visualization, enhancing concept comprehen-sion and design efficiency. Furthermore, GeoGebra proves to be an effective tool for edu-cation and training in control engineering.

Abstract

The animation "Legend of Garuda Wisnu Kencana" is a visual work that combines art and culture to convey profound messages through dynamic graphic representations. This research aims to explore the use of visual elements in the animation, focusing on semiotic aspects involving symbols, colors, and settings. The animation serves not only as entertainment, but also as a medium for education and cultural preservation, by depicting the mythological story of Garuda, a mythical bird in Balinese culture. This research method uses a semiotic approach to analyze how visual elements, including colors, symbols, and settings, play a role in conveying cultural and mythological messages. The results of the analysis show that the characters in the animation, such as Garuda, Winata, Kadru, and the nine dragons, play an important role in building the narrative and conveying moral values such as persistence and loyalty. The use of white and gold colors and symbols such as Garuda and dragons reinforce these messages, while the Balinese cultural setting and Kahyangan Dewa provide an authentic and immersive context. The main message of the animation is the importance of striving to achieve goals and not giving up on obstacles, inspiring viewers to face challenges with determination and compassion. This research underscores how animation can serve as a bridge between art, culture and education, and provides insight into the way visual elements contribute to meaning and narrative experience in animated media.
