Abstract

In the Kasunanan of Yogyakarta, the Diponegoro War took place from 1825 to 1830. A central figure in the incident, namely, Prince Diponegoro, took the name of this war. Unlike the life of royal princes in general, Prince Diponegoro did not spend his time in various pleasant and luxurious forms of life. The Prince of Diponegoro had been living outside the palace since a young age and was busy deepening various understandings, including deepening the Islamic teachings. His personal life reflects a type of life filled with piety and misticism, due to this way of life and a lot of contact with Ulama. Even the prince was known as Ksatria-ulama by the observers. As someone overflowing with piety and modesty in practice. Then when he led the revolution against the Dutch colonial government, there were many expectations and perceptions associated with the movement. There were a number of hopes raised on the shoulders of Prince Diponegoro, in accordance with the circumstances at that time when the group was in a difficult position, oppressed both in the social, political and economic fields due to various colonialism. From this dream, then, Prince Diponegoro adhered to the character of Mahdism, that is to say, the dream of a future full of prosperity, stability and tranquility, both in social, political and economic life. From this, the meaning emerged that the Diponegoro War was a movement known as mahdism.

Abstract

This article historicizes ethno-religious and political conflicts in West Africa with Mali as a case in point. It looks at how foreign and donors' conditioned aid can pose a threat to peaceful existence and survival of West African States. In fact, Mali has since its independence been beset by an extraordinary heavy burden of conflicts. It is either suffering from rebellions or political instability. Added to this, are the current religous problems which are undermining its territorial unity as a result of rising questions and distrust between northern and southern communities. This paper analyzes the reasons for the central authorities' opposition to the northern population, namely the Tuareg and Arabs, on the one hand, and the States to the military, on the other hand. It also brings to light the politically, religiously, and militarily 'divisive' roles of external stakeholder such as the naighboring and Gulf countries, France and the international community as it examines the couses and impacts of the political, social, and religious fragmentations, using a historical perspective, and provides for endogenous and exogenous solutions.

Abstract

The essence of cooperatives is to remain themselves as cooperatives and not deviate into other forms, the moral values that underlie them must be realities of life in the activities and behavior of cooperative people. Evil develops along with the development and change of human life. The types are even more diverse with varied modus operandi, all following the development of increasingly modern humans, one of which is the crime of corruption and money laundering. Likewise, crime in the economy follows the sophistication of the development of the world economy. Crimes in the economic field are very likely to occur and affect the cooperative business entity. Based on this, the main problems of criminal acts cannot be avoided in the regulations of cooperative business activities. Determination of a law as a criminal acts means the law is prohibited, and should be given a criminal sanction. Crime in the Cooperative is identified as a problem that needs to be sought as an alternative sanction as a last resort in terms of law enforcement. The development of economic life requires a normative framework to maintain social order. Then it is necessary to administer the law with real legal objectives to facilitate the economic life of the Indonesian state.
