Abstract

This study aims to understand the Representation of the Hedonism lifestyle in Zalora's 30 Day Returns Free Version of Advertising. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive type of research. Qualitative description (QD) is a word used for qualitative research used in a descriptive study. This type of qualitative descriptive research is usually used in research on social phenomena. While the method of analysis, the researcher uses the semiotic analysis model of Charles Sanders Pierce. Peirce's theory of semiotics is the science or technique (method) of analysis that explains the sign system. A sign is something that is visible, leads to something, can represent the relationship between the sign and the recipient of the sign that is representative and refers to the interpretive. Peirce separates the sign system (semiotics) into 3 elements that have been included in his triangle theory, namely the sign (sign), the sign reference (object), and the use of the sign (interpretant). While the results and discussion in this study concluded that: the free version of the 30-day return zalora advertisement is not only about promoting fashion items, but also the meaning of the hedonistic lifestyle that is inserted through the scenes. The meaning of the hedonistic lifestyle is seen when the woman puts the measure of her pleasure in life on materialist goods. When he does not have luxurious and stylish clothes, he will feel sad and worried. Conversely, when he has an abundance of luxury goods, he will feel happy and get pleasure in himself (hedonism). In addition to the enjoyment of women's lives as measured by materialist objects as above, the purchase of fashion items in very large and excessive quantities is also the meaning of the hedonistic lifestyle that is inserted in this 30-day return free version of the Zalora advertisement. Various types of fashion as a result of unreasonable purchases are scattered in the room without using them.

Abstract

Usually, the human resources in the construction world in Indonesia are in demand by men, even though the job opportunities between men and women are not that different. However, the reality is that women's resources in construction are still very few presentations. This study attempts to discuss the empowerment of women's resources in construction projects and the constraints and problems women face in construction work. To support this discussion, we conducted an electronic search for data on published literature both nationally and internationally. After the data was collected, we conducted an in-depth study under a phenomenological approach, namely an effort to find answers from several existing data. Based on the study and discussion results, we can conclude that empowering women's human resources in construction projects is a government priority stated in the employment law. However, more and more women are slowly found in construction projects with all their advantages and disadvantages. Thus, the results of this study are the basis of guidance for further studies.

Abstract

The transition of status from employee of public institution to civil servant in Indonesia often occurs and always raises legal and social problems. The legal system for the transition of status is not patterned. There are differences on the level of law/arrangements, conditions and methods, as well as the consequences of dismissal. Even the special nature of status transfer laws is the einmaligh and lex specialist, that should not give rise to social problems, discrimination and legal uncertainty. Therefore, in the future it is necessary to formulate an ideal pattern that can achieve the achievement of employment goals while providing proper protection to employees who are citizens. For this reason, this paper will compare the existing legal arrangements for the transition of status that have existed to draw a line of problems that will be followed by a solution. This writing is normative legal research. There are at least four legal provisions for the transition of employment status that will be compared, namely the Village Secretary, staff of Corruption Eradication Commission as anti-corruption agency in Indonesia, and workers who switch to employees of the National Research and Innovation Agency.

Abstract

The cooperation system between farmers and Middlemen is forced because the Middlemen made a unilateral cooperation system. The farmers are powerless because they need capital and income to meet the needs of their families. This research will question what kind of cooperation system was built by farmers and Middlemen and how the farmers' attitude to unilateral decisions made by the Middlemen. The author conducted field research using a qualitative approach with a grounded research method. The primary data sources are farmers in Cirebon, Indonesia. Technically, digging up data through in-depth interviews, observations in rice fields during harvest, and focus group discussions. The cooperation system was analyzed using Antonio Gramsci’s hegemony theory. The research results are as follows: 1) The Middlemen make a profit-sharing agreement with the farmer. Farmers get loans for land rent, seeds, and planting costs. Paying debt after harvest, and farmers have to sell their crops to Middlemen. 2) Middlemen usually misbehave by lowering prices unilaterally in the middle of the cooperation process. 3) If conditions like this are analyzed using Antonio Gramsci’s theory of hegemony, then the consciousness, reason, energy, and results of the farmers are hegemonized by Middlemen.
