Abstract

Learners’ engagement with written corrective feedback as main part which connects between provision of written corrective feedback and writing outcomes. In other words, the level of learners’ engagement with written corrective feedback will determine learners’ writing ability. This current study completes the existing literatures by examining relationship between learners’ engagement with teacher written corrective feedback and learners’ writing ability. The correlation design was implemented in this research among 88 participants which divided into three classes. Learners were asked to do writing task and revise it based on teacher WCF which they receive. Then, learners also need to fill nine items of learners’ engagement with teacher WCF questionnaire. The results of this research showed that there was very strong positive correlation between learners’ engagement with teacher WCF and learners’ writing ability with the value of pearson correlation was 0.824 and sig. tailed was 0.000 < 0,05. It indicated that the correlation between learners’ engagement with teacher WCF and learners’ writing ability was important and real. So, learners’ engagement with teacher WCF could be used as one of predictor factors of writing ability.

Abstract

This paper discusses the strategy of implementing Dhammadesana or lectures in Buddhism using wayang media presented by Ki Eko Prasetyo. Wayang as one of the objects and performances of cultural arts in several regions in Indonesia such as in Java and Bali has become a distinctive identity that cannot be separated from Indonesia. The use of this puppet in spreading religious teachings has been used as an alternative chosen by various groups, one of which is what was done by Ki Eko Prasetyo as one of the figures who spread religious teachings through wayang media and uploaded to social media Youtube. The research method used is qualitative research using virtual ethnography. The data used is primary data from Ki Eko Prasetyo's puppet show on Youtube and secondary data that supports the discussion comes from literary sources. The results of this paper indicate that as a strategy in delivering Dhamma to Buddhists, the wayang Ki Eko Prasetyo can be a solution that is able to accommodate Dhamma messages. But of course, the delivery of the Dhamma message from Ki Eko Prasetyo's wayang performance needs to always be considered by Buddhists when receiving the Dhamma message. The use of words in the performance must be clearly chosen in order to avoid misinterpretation of the audience of the Ki Eko Prasetyo puppet show.

Abstract

The Indonesian treasures civilization have known keris for 1000 years ago until the time of independence. Keris is often mentioned in the counter-colonialism narration led by royal figures, aristocrats such as keris of Prince Diponegara's, keris kyai naga siluman luk 13 and kyai nagasiluman luk 11 owned by the Sultan of Yogyakarta. The keris contains a widely adopted the pakem as symbolic framework. Obedience to the pakem implies a political citizenship, such as kyai carubuk kris, kyai kalamunyeng, mahesalanjer, jalatunda. Pakem keris also has a series of symbols that are accepted by the public and accepted individually, such as ladrang, dhapur, pamor. The materials of the keris, starting from the type of wood, the type of metal for the bilah (body of blade’s), the form of carving the keris upstream, the warangka and its ornaments refer to a certain social class stratification as well as a marker of one's capacity.  Keris becomes self-representative, represents individual identity and to gain recognition in the community. This study analyzes the keris symbol which is used as a class arrangement and civic politics which is diachronic type. The results of the diachronic analysis show that the division of social classes does not always refer to the class divisions of Max Weber and Marx's version.

Abstract

Performing Artworktiger terinthe inspiration of the culture of catching tigers in the Minangkabau community. For the Minangkabau community, tiger has a special meaning called inyiak or ampang limo as a title. The Minangkabau people believe in having a strong relationship with tigers, and can protect humans and pets. The myth of the proximity of the Minang people to the tiger for the Minangkabau community is considered a truth and is believed to be the incarnation of their ancestors. Besides being believed by humans to have a close relationship with tigers, tigers are still wild animals that can prey on humans and livestock at any time. Tigers that are considered detrimental to the community because they have preyed on livestock or humans, will be caught by performing the tiger ilau ritual. The ritual of catching tigers is carried out with songs and incantations performed by shamans and mothers, with sad rhythms tending to lament. Ilau tiger ritual is the longest ritual, which is carried out for an indefinite period of time. The length of time sometimes takes fifteen days, it can be six months, it can even take up to a year. The unique and interesting phenomenon of tiger light, which has the meaning of cooperation, toughness, patience, resentment, fighting power, and hope, became the inspiration in the creation of Lantiang Harimau's works. Phenomenonthe Ilau tiger ritual event becomes the concept of work, which is poured throughs motiontiger blade. The tiger silat movement has a sharp, hard and deadly motion using tiger styles and moves, such as jumping and kicking, bouncing and pounced on by the tiger. This workworked on in a new form that was touched by incorporating modern elements in a contemporary context (Art Contemporary), without losing traditional values.

Abstract

Until now, Indonesia is still importing Double Base Propellant (DBP) for the ammunition and rocket industry. It causes the Indonesian Defense Industry to not be independent. On the other hand, DBP raw materials are abundant in Indonesia. Cellulose and Glycerin are produced from plants or micro-organisms that contain lots of fiber and oil. Therefore, the purpose of writing this paper is to build on the above conditions through a Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat or SWOT analysis. Starting with the search for data references, then followed by the implementation of workshop activities and discussions and in-depth interviews with experts to find the depth of the data and the assessments of these experts. The SWOT analysis findings provide a perspective and map of the relationship between SWOT elements and alternative action plans. Discussions on building strengths, minimizing weaknesses, looking for opportunities, and countering threats, resulted in recommendations for prioritizing the preparation of a roadmap for the independence of the propellant raw material and the raw material industry dedicated to the propellant industry.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate and analyze the impact of creative economy actors' blue ocean strategy on the intention of visitors to return to the Bukit Lawang area of North Sumatera. This study employs quantitatively oriented, associative research. This study's population consisted only of local visitors who traveled to Bukit Lawang, North Sumatera, and whose actual amount could not be determined. The sampling methodology used a nonprobability sampling method with a purposive sample method, in which the researchers obtain data from the most comprehensive and diverse sources in order to satisfy varied informational objectives. The sample criteria consist of local visitors who have visited Bukit Lawang more than once, and the lameshow algorithm ensures that there are 100 study samples. The methods of data collection include surveys and interviews. Multiple linear regression analysis is used as the technique of data analysis. The partial effect of raising environmental awareness and creating pro-environmental attitudes were shown have an influence on the intention to revisit among visitors in the Bukit Lawang area of North Sumatera. This study demonstrates that simultaneously, there is an effect of raises awareness among visitors and creates pro-environmental attitudes among those who intend return to the Bukit Lawang area. The coefficient of determination test yielded an adjusted R square value of 0.702% (70.2 percent). This demonstrates that the raise awareness and create pro-environmental attitudes factors may explain 70.2% of the revisit intention, the remaining 29.8% is impacted by variables not explored in this study.
