Abstract

This study aims to analyze the evolution and research trends of cooperative learning in Islamic Religious Education through a bibliometric approach. A descriptive quantitative design was employed using bibliometric analysis to map publication patterns, research trends, and thematic development in this field. Data were retrieved from the Scopus database using the keywords “cooperative learning,” “Islamic education,” “Islamic religious education,” and “Pendidikan Agama Islam,” covering publications from 2015 to 2025. The initial search yielded 956 documents, which were subsequently screened based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in 148 relevant articles for analysis. The data were analyzed descriptively and visually using VOSviewer to identify publication trends, influential journals, authorship collaboration, and keyword co-occurrence networks. The results indicate an increasing trend of publications related to cooperative learning in Islamic Religious Education, with dominant themes focusing on student engagement, learning outcomes, and collaborative instructional strategies. This study provides a comprehensive overview of the intellectual structure and research directions in this field and offers a reference for future research development.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of public relations (PR) management in enhancing the relationship between schools and parents at SDN Trewung, Grati District, Pasuruan Regency. By employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research investigates the strategies implemented by the school to improve communication and increase parental involvement in the educational process. The findings reveal that open communication, regular meetings, social media utilization, and collaborative activities play crucial roles in strengthening the relationship between the school and parents. Regular meetings provide a platform for parents to express their views, share feedback, and engage with the school, fostering a stronger sense of partnership. Social media, as a tool for quick and efficient communication, facilitates information dissemination, overcoming geographical and time barriers. Collaborative activities, such as workshops and training for parents, further empower them to support their children's learning at home. The research also highlights the challenges, particularly the digital divide, which affects some parents' access to online communication platforms. Overall, the study emphasizes that effective PR strategies contribute significantly to enhancing parental involvement, thus supporting the success of students’ education. The findings offer valuable insights for other schools, particularly in rural areas, in developing effective PR strategies to engage parents in the educational process.

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct the theoretical foundation of global curriculum development through a comparative analysis of Ibn Khaldun’s and Johann Friedrich Herbart’s educational thought. Educational transformation in the era of globalization has strengthened technocratic paradigms emphasizing standardization and performativity, often marginalizing the social and moral dimensions of curriculum. This research employs a qualitative philosophical approach using a comparative philosophical inquiry design. Data were obtained through hermeneutic analysis of the primary works of both scholars and relevant supporting literature. The findings reveal that Ibn Khaldun emphasizes the socio-contextual dimension of education as part of civilizational dynamics, while Herbart highlights systematic pedagogy and the moral formation of individuals. Their synthesis generates an integrative conceptual model of global curriculum based on three dimensions: socio-contextual, systematic-pedagogical, and ethical-democratic. This model offers an alternative to technocratic reductionism by positioning curriculum as a dialogical space between social solidarity and moral autonomy. Consequently, global curriculum development should aim to cultivate intellectually competent individuals who possess social awareness and ethical integrity within an increasingly plural and interconnected world.

Abstract

The representation of gender equality values in Islamic Religious Education materials is crucial to help students understand equitable gender relations. However, there is little research assessing gender representation in IRE textbooks and its relationship with Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) 5. This study aims to analyze gender equality values in IRE textbooks for secondary schools and explain their role in achieving SDGs5. This study uses content analysis on PAI textbooks for junior high and high school levels. The analysis process includes coding themes, categories of gender representation, and reviewing relevant verses from the Qur'an. The results show bias in gender representation, with a dominance of male roles and limited portrayals of women, especially in the domestic context. There is a discrepancy between the values of equality in Islamic teachings and their presentation in PAI textbooks. In addition, the contribution of PAI to SDGs 5 is not yet clear in the learning materials. In conclusion, there needs to be improvement in gender representation in textbooks and the development of more critical and reflective PAI learning methods to strengthen the contribution of PAI to SDGs 5. The innovation of this research is the empirical analysis of PAI textbooks linked to SDGs 5 achievement indicators.schools.

Abstract

The transformation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in the Society 5.0 era demands the integration of digital technology that is not only instrumental, but also aligned with Islamic values ​​and the characteristics of Islamic boarding school-based educational institutions. Previous research on Augmented Reality (AR) generally focuses on science and language learning, while studies that place AR as an Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning methodology in the context of Islamic boarding schools are still limited. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Augmented Reality-based PAI learning methodology as an innovative approach that integrates pedagogical aspects, technology, and religious values ​​at the Ar-Royan Islamic Boarding School in Pacitan. This study employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data were collected through unstructured interviews, participant observation, and documentation with Islamic boarding school administrators, Islamic Religious Education teachers, students, and instructional media managers. Data were then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, ensuring data validity through triangulation techniques. The results show that the application of AR significantly improves students' understanding of religious concepts, learning motivation, and active involvement in the PAI learning process. Furthermore, this methodology is capable of creating contextual, collaborative, and reflective learning by integrating cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions in accordance with the Islamic boarding school (pesantren) educational culture. The findings of this study contribute to the development of an immersive technology-based Islamic Education (PAI) learning methodology model relevant to the Society 5.0 paradigm and provide practical implications for the development of Islamic Education (PAI) learning policies and practices in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Religious moderation is a strategic national agenda aimed at strengthening civic character and preventing radicalism within educational settings. The integration of moderate values into the Islamic Education (PAI) curriculum is expected to cultivate inclusive and tolerant attitudes among students. However, its implementation continues to encounter conceptual and pedagogical challenges that reduce the effectiveness of value internalization. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of religious moderation implementation in the PAI curriculum and to propose a more contextual and applicable curriculum reconstruction model. This research employs a qualitative approach based on library research, analyzing national policy documents and reviewing empirical studies published within the last five years. No primary field data were collected. Data were examined using content analysis and thematic synthesis to identify implementation patterns, challenges, and opportunities for curriculum improvement.The findings reveal that the implementation of religious moderation in the PAI curriculum remains largely normative and top-down, lacking clear operational pedagogical guidelines and insufficiently supported by teacher capacity development in managing diversity-oriented learning. In addition, school ecosystems that are not yet fully inclusive and limited student digital literacy further hinder the authentic internalization of moderate values.The study concludes that curriculum reconstruction is necessary through strengthening socio-religious competencies, applying dialogical pedagogy, integrating digital literacy, and adopting a whole-school approach to ensure effective and sustainable implementation of religious moderation in the national education system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Dasa Dharma Pramuka values as an effort to strengthen the moral character of students at Nurul Jadid Paiton Junior High School Probolinggo. The research problem departs from the discovery of student behavior that does not fully reflect moral values, such as low discipline, lack of manners, responsibility, and moral awareness in daily life, even though schools have implemented Scouting activities as a mandatory extracurricular. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with the principal informants, Islamic Religious Education teachers, Scout coaches, and students. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the values of Dasa Dharma Pramuka have been systematically implemented through routine scouting activities, habituation, and example of coaches. Practical values such as religiosity, social concern, cooperation, and skills are relatively easy to internalize by students. Meanwhile, values that demand self-control and personal awareness, such as discipline, responsibility, and politeness, still require continuous strengthening and coaching. Overall, the implementation of Dasa Dharma Pramuka values contributes positively to strengthening the moral character of students, but its effectiveness is greatly influenced by the consistency of habituation, the example of coaches, and the support of the school environment

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of the development of Muhammadiyah charitable enterprises in the field of education in South Bangka Regency and identify factors that support the sustainability of its management. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method in three educational institutions: Muhammadiyah Elementary School Toboali, Muhammadiyah Junior High School PK Darul Arqom Toboali, and Muhammadiyah Senior High School Toboali. Data were collected through in depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies, then analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The results show that institutional development takes place adaptively and sustainably through different strategies at each level. Muhammadiyah Elementary School Toboali develops following the initiation to stabilization phase according to the school growth model. Muhammadiyah Junior High School PK Darul Arqom Toboali applies the Islamic boarding school model as a differentiation and institutional positioning strategy that strengthens competitiveness. Meanwhile, Muhammadiyah Senior High School Toboali has entered the consolidation phase as a mature institution that focuses on quality stability and reputation management. The decline in the number of students in 2025 is analyzed as a form of managed stabilization, not a decline in performance. This study also found that the internalization of the Muhammadiyah Community Islamic Life Guidelines (PHIWM) serves as cultural capital that influences managerial decisions, shapes organizational culture, and supports the sustainability of the institution at all levels. Value integration, professional management, and program innovation are key factors in maintaining the competitiveness and existence of Muhammadiyah's educational charitable endeavors at the regional level.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed students’ religious life by providing broader access to religious information while simultaneously increasing the risk of moral degradation, exposure to non‑credible religious content, hoaxes, and hate speech. These conditions require educational strategies that go beyond cognitive religious instruction to foster a strong, critical, and digitally adaptive religious character. This study aims to conceptually formulate a comprehensive strategy for strengthening students’ religious character in the digital era by examining the nature of students’ religious character, the supporting and inhibiting factors, and the most relevant strengthening strategies. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through library research, analyzing 30 scientific articles, academic books, and policy documents published between 2021 and 2025 related to religious character, character education, and educational digitalization. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by source triangulation and peer review to ensure validity. The findings indicate that effective strengthening of religious character requires the integration of several key pillars: digital religious literacy, religious habituation, teacher role‑modeling, collaboration among schools, families, and communities, and the purposeful use of digital technology within the curriculum and school culture. Theoretically, this study proposes an integrative and context‑sensitive model of religious character strengthening aligned with the digital ecosystem, which extends the application of social learning theory into digital environments. Practically, the model can serve as a theoretical and strategic reference for schools, teachers, and policymakers in designing more systematic, collaborative, and digitally relevant religious character education programs for students.

Abstract

The affective approach of Aqidah Akhlak teachers plays an important role in shaping positive character in students and preventing bullying. Through role modeling, empathy, emotional connection, and personal guidance, values such as compassion, fairness, and mutual respect can be internalized in a meaningful way. This approach is effective when supported by a conducive school culture and collaboration among all members of the school community. This study concludes that the descriptive qualitative approach is effective in exploring in depth the affective approach of Aqidah Akhlak teachers in shaping positive student character and preventing bullying. Through interviews, observations, documentation, interactive data analysis, and triangulation, this study produced a valid, contextual, and meaningful empirical picture. The affective approach in Aqidah Akhlak learning has been proven effective in shaping students' positive character and preventing bullying. Through the internalization of values, teacher role modeling, habit formation, and good emotional relationships, students show an increase in empathy and mutual respect. This approach has an impact on changing student behavior and creating a more conducive classroom climate. The affective approach of Aqidah Akhlak teachers at MA Al Islamiyah plays an effective role in shaping positive character and preventing bullying.
