Abstract

This research aims to develop a media Diorama of IPS subject content livelihood material based on the landscape in grade IV elementary school. The method used in this study was Research and Development model ADDIE. This research was conducted at SDN Susukan 05 Pagi, class IV as many as 25 people. The data collection methods in this study used validation charts aimed at media experts and material experts, and response charts and learning interests aimed at the students who were the subjects of this study. Media expert validation results came in the "Very Worthy" category with 84.4%, then material expert validation results came in the "Very Worthy" category with 100% percentage. Student response to Diorama media received the "Very Agree" category through a small group trial stage (10 students) with 99.2% and large group (25 students) trials with 87.44%, as well as IPS learning interest before using the Diorama media received 72 %, while after using the Diorama media received 88%, it showed that students' IPS learning interest increased by 16%. The Diorama media that has been developed on IPS content livelihood material based on the landscape can be declared "Very Worthy" to use and can increase IPS students' learning interest.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance services using self-control techniques in overcoming students' academic procrastination attitudes. This research uses a one group pre test post design research design using purposive sampling technique. The population in this research numbered 70 and the sample numbered 14 from class VII-C of SMP IT Al-Hijrah 2 Deli Serdang. The data collection tool in this research uses an academic procrastination scale data collection tool that has been approved by experts. The research results showed that academic procrastination attitudes decreased after the posttest compared to the pretest scores, therefore group guidance services were effective in overcoming academic procrastination attitudes of class VII-C students at SMP IT Al-Hijrah 2 Deli Serdang. The implementation of group guidance services using self-control techniques is effective in overcoming students' academic procrastination because students create and implement a daily schedule that allows students to know what activities they will carry out in a full day and students are not inclined to just use one activity using this daily schedule. become a program to reduce students' academic procrastination attitudes. This program can also be used as an effort to reduce students' academic procrastination attitudes for schools and future researchers.

Abstract

 This study aims to develop learning media with a visual manipulative approach from rainbow materials in matrix learning so that it can increase the effectiveness of mathematics learning with the use of learning media as one approach that has been proven effective in supporting student understanding. This study is included in research and development using the ADDIE development model. The stages in the ADDIE development model include Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects for observation and testing in this study were all female students of grade XI-9 of SMA Al Hikmah Surabaya. The instruments used were expert validation sheets, interviews, questionnaires, and observations. Data from these instruments were analyzed using a one-shot case study pattern. The results of the study indicate that the rainbow matrix learning media is valid, practical, and effective for use in mathematics learning in SMA Al Hikmah Surabaya class XI on the material of determinants and matrix multiplication.

Abstract

Mosque youth organizations certainly have a vision and mission or goals in carrying out activities for Islamic holidays. These activities include mosque miniature competitions, MTQ, pop songs, and also in sports such as futsal. This research examines two things: 1) looking at how mosque youth participate in carrying out or contributing to Islamic holiday activities, and 2) looking at the inhibiting and clouding factors in the implementation of OPRM Taqwa mosque youth activities. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach by explaining, explaining, and illustrating the problems of the object under study, data taken in this research using interviews and literature review. The results of this research show that the participation of mosque teenagers is enthusiastic in carrying out activities or enlivening Islamic holidays, as evidenced by the existence of competitions or holding activity events. During Islamic holidays, the obstacles experienced by mosque teenagers in carrying out activities for some groups of these activities received a response. little and lack of support in enlivening the activities carried out by mosque youth. However, this received support from the supervisors by providing motivation and explaining the impact of the activities carried out by the OPRM Taqwa mosque youth to a group of people.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the effectiveness of innovative loose parts media in optimizing fine motor skills of young children. Using qualitative methods with a case study approach, this research focuses on how the use of loose parts can stimulate creativity and improve children's fine motor skills. Qualitative research methods were applied to gain an in-depth understanding of the application of loose parts and their impact on child development. Data was collected through direct observation of classroom activities, interviews with educators and parents, and analysis of documents related to loose parts-based activities. Observations were conducted to assess children's interactions with loose parts and progress in fine motor skills, while interviews provided insight into educators' and parents' perceptions and experiences regarding the use of loose parts. The research results show that loose parts media makes a significant contribution in improving children's fine motor skills, such as hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity, as well as stimulating their creativity and imagination. Educators reported increased children's motivation and engagement, while parents noted positive progress in children's fine motor skills at home. This research confirms that loose parts are an effective tool in early childhood education, offering an innovative and practical approach to addressing challenges in the development of creativity and fine motor skills.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to determine the effectiveness of individual counseling services using the Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) approach through self-instruction techniques in reducing learning difficulties at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan. Quantitative research is guided by a pre-test plan and a single-group pre-test-post-test plan. On the analyst's learning difficulties scale, 26 of the 28 statement items are used in a test of legitimacy and firm quality. The results are considered substantial if the determined r exceeds the table r value, namely 0.2329 at a 5% level of significance. For the reliability test, Cronbroach alpha data was collected with a Cronbroach Alpha value greater than 0.05 (0.999 0.05). The research population at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan includes more than three classes in class X (ten), namely classes X5, X7, and X8. Purposive testing techniques were used to select five students with high levels of learning difficulties from 110 students in each of the three classes. The Wilcoxon Marked Positions Test was used to test the data. The results of this research show that the significance value is asymptotic. Sig(2-follow) values greater than 0.05 or 0.005 It is reasonable to assume that independent, individual tutoring services are effective in overcoming student learning difficulties.

Abstract

Poetry writing skills require creativity, imagination, and mastery of language. The freewriting technique, which allows writers to write without constraints during a set period of time, is considered effective in overcoming writing barriers and generating creative ideas. This study aims to determine the impact of using the freewriting technique on students' poetry writing skills, using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of students' poetry works. The results of the study show that the freewriting technique is effective in enhancing creativity, self-expression, and reducing barriers in poetry writing.

Abstract

Reading ability is one of the fundamental skills that supports students' academic success, especially in the early years of primary education. However, many first-grade students still face challenges in acquiring sufficient reading proficiency. This study aims to develop an educational game-based learning media using Karuta to improve the early reading skills of first-grade primary school students. The research employed the Research and Development (RD) approach with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The media was validated by media and content experts and tested in a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 26 students. Validation results showed that the Karuta media was highly valid, with scores of 86.6% from media experts and 97.6% from content experts. The t-test analysis indicated a significant improvement in students' early reading skills after using the media (p = 0.000 0.05). Furthermore, students gave highly positive responses (99.4%) regarding the media’s attractiveness, ease of use, and usefulness in supporting reading. These findings suggest that Karuta-based learning media is not only feasible but also effective and engaging in helping young learners develop foundational reading skills. It can serve as an innovative and interactive alternative for teachers in early grade classrooms to foster students' interest and achievement in reading.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the impact of unhealthy friendships on the mental health of students in the Islamic Guidance and Counseling Study Program at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, State Islamic University of North Sumatra for the Academic Year 2021, as well as the adaptive strategies applied to cope with such toxic relationships. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with purposive sampling, data collection through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and data analysis conducted interactively and continuously. The results of the study indicate that toxic friendships are characterized by manipulative behavior, social and academic jealousy, and emotional exploitation, which lead to increased stress, anxiety, decreased self-esteem, and emotional fatigue among students. Students develop adaptive strategies in the form of setting personal boundaries, reflection and strengthening emotional awareness, seeking healthy social support, and reinforcing religiosity as coping mechanisms. These findings confirm that the quality of friendships has a significant impact on students' mental health and emphasize the importance of guidance and counseling-based interventions, particularly through the approach of Islamic values, to build healthy social relationships and support psychological well-being

Abstract

This study explores the roles, strategies, and challenges faced by the Muallaf Center Ar-Risaya in Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province, in strengthening the Islamic creed (aqidah) of converts. The research highlights the significance of aqidah development as the initial foundation for building faith and facilitating social integration into Islamic life. Employing a qualitative field research design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving institutional administrators, converts, and local community members. The findings reveal that the Muallaf Center Ar-Risala functions not only as a provider of theoretical understanding of aqidah but also as a supportive mentoring institution focusing emotional, social, and spiritual approaches. The strategies include routine study sessions, halaqah, practical worship training, open discussions, individual mentoring, and social strengthening through collective activities. Despite encountering obstacles such as diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, limited basic Islamic knowledge, and resource constraints, the center has demonstrated significant positive impacts on converts' understanding of Islam, self-confidence, and active participation in religious practices. This research underscores the importance of a comprehensive and humanistic approach to aqidah development in ensuring the sustainability of converts' Islamic faith and identity.
