Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of learning styles and self-efficacy on the learning experiences of students in the Biology Education Study Program. The background of this research is based on the importance of understanding the variation in individual characteristics in the learning process, as different learning styles can influence how students receive, process, and remember information. Meanwhile, self-efficacy serves as an internal factor that determines students' belief in their ability to effectively complete academic tasks. This research uses an associative quantitative approach with the Partial Least Square (SmartPLS) method to analyze the relationships between variables. Data was collected by distributing a Likert-scale questionnaire to Biology Education students. The research results show that all indicators have outer loading values above 0.70, thus meeting the criteria for convergent validity and construct reliability. Evaluation of the structural model (inner model) shows that learning style has a positive and significant effect on learning experience (t = 4.560; p = 0.000), and self-efficacy also has a positive and significant effect on learning experience (t = 7.375; p = 0.000). This indicates that students with a suitable learning style and high self-efficacy have a more positive and meaningful learning experience. These findings confirm the importance of the role of lecturers in designing learning strategies that are adaptive to students' learning styles and in promoting self-efficacy to improve overall student engagement and learning outcomes

Abstract

This study examines the integration of climate action concepts, specifically green computing and computing for green, into English language learning for computer science students using the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach. English Language Learners (ELLs), most of whom are non-native English speakers (NNES) in the field of Computer Science, require a language learning model that not only improves linguistic skills but also fosters awareness and active participation in global climate change issues. Through qualitative methods, including a literature review, CLIL classroom observations, and interviews with instructors, this study identifies best practices in designing content-integrated English language curricula that combine language proficiency and ecological literacy. Green computing principles are applied not only in learning materials but also in research methods to reduce carbon footprints. Findings indicate that integrating sustainability topics into English language learning within the context of Computer Science effectively enhances students' language skills and environmental awareness. Students become more motivated to act as agents of change in preserving the environment. The practical implication is that interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative CLIL curriculum design can play a crucial role in preparing Computer Science graduates to be not only technically competent but also linguistically competent, as well as having sustainability awareness.

Abstract

Abstract

This study presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on innovative instructional strategies designed to improve students’ Arabic speaking skills (mahārah kalām) across varied educational settings. The review applied the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) procedure, including identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion stages. Literature was retrieved from Google Scholar using keywords related to Arabic pedagogy and innovative learning. A total of 250 articles were initially found; 175 were excluded because they did not focus on speaking skills or did not meet methodological and thematic criteria. The remaining 75 studies published between 2015 and 2025 were analyzed qualitatively. The synthesis shows that Project-Based Learning (PBL), Total Physical Response (TPR), muhadasah practice, eclectic methods, and technology-enhanced media consistently contribute to improvements in fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary mastery, and communicative confidence. These strategies demonstrate alignment with communicative, behaviorist, cognitive, and constructivist learning paradigms through authentic communication, reinforcement, cognitive engagement, and experiential learning. Despite these promising results, research gaps remain, particularly the lack of comparative studies and limited exploration in higher education and nonformal learning contexts. The study underscores the need for integrative, technology-driven instructional models to strengthen Arabic-speaking pedagogy responsive to twenty-first-century learning demands.

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of Learning Management Systems (LMS), particularly Moodle and Google Classroom, in Arabic language education through a systematic literature review. The article search was conducted between 2019 and 2025 across Google Scholar databases using keywords related to Arabic language learning, Moodle, Google Classroom, and digital pedagogy. The initial search yielded 143 publications, of which 123 met the inclusion criteria through title and abstract screening, and 20 studies that fulfilled eligibility criteria were analyzed in full. The synthesis of the selected articles shows that LMS significantly improves accessibility, interactivity, and student engagement through flexible, structured, and multimedia-based learning environments. However, several constraints persist, including reduced learner motivation, insufficient digital competence among teachers, unequal access to technology, and limited opportunities for authentic muhādatsah practice. The findings highlight that the effectiveness of LMS depends heavily on teachers’ digital readiness, the availability of contextualized digital learning materials, and institutional support to sustain technological innovation. Overall, blended learning and LMS-supported instruction have strong potential to enhance communicative competence and independent learning skills, provided that pedagogical reform and capacity building are ensured.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve students’ learning outcomes and engagement through an innovative learning evaluation based on Deep Learning using the QuizWhizzer digital platform in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject. The initial problem identified was the low level of student participation in evaluation activities and the limited use of varied and engaging digital assessment media aligned with 21st-century learning demands. Integrating Deep Learning principles into the evaluation process was expected to help students develop deeper conceptual understanding, contextual reasoning, and reflective learning abilities. The study was conducted in two cycles following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 30 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through observations, interviews, documentation, and learning outcome tests, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative approaches. The findings indicate a significant improvement in both student activity and learning outcomes. Mastery learning increased from 58% in the pre-cycle to 76% in Cycle I and reached 91% in Cycle II. Students also demonstrated higher motivation, stronger collaboration, and improved critical-thinking skills during the gamified evaluation process. The use of QuizWhizzer created an interactive, enjoyable, and competitive learning atmosphere that supported mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning. This study concludes that the Deep Learning–based evaluation using QuizWhizzer is an effective and innovative assessment strategy that enhances IPAS learning quality in elementary schools and can be recommended as an alternative digital evaluation method within the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Human resource management (HRM) is a crucial component in strengthening the quality and sustainability of Islamic educational institutions, including Boarding schools. As educational demands increasingly require professionalism, digital competence, and organizational effectiveness, Boarding schools must manage their human resources through systematic planning and recruitment. This study explores HR planning and recruitment at Boarding School Al-Musyarrofah, Cianjur, focusing on how workforce needs are identified, how future HR demands are forecasted, and how recruitment strategies align with institutional goals and Islamic educational values. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation to analyze HR practices and challenges within the Boarding School context. The study is guided by several research questions: how the Boarding School conducts HR planning, how it forecasts future workforce requirements, what recruitment strategies are employed, how Islamic values influence HR processes, and what obstacles arise in implementation. The theoretical framework integrates modern HRM theories such as workforce planning, competency-based recruitment, and structured selection processes with principles of Islamic education emphasizing amanah, adab, khidmah, and educator integrity. This hybrid framework positions HRM not only as a managerial function but also as a moral responsibility. The study contributes by offering an empirical model of HR planning and recruitment suited to Boarding schools, demonstrating how modern HRM principles can be harmonized with Islamic educational philosophy to produce effective, ethical, and culturally grounded HR practices.

Abstract

Web-based learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have rapidly reshaped Arabic language education in the digital era. This study aims to synthesize findings from national and international literature regarding the role of AI within web-based learning media in strengthening students’ Arabic learning strategies and outcomes. Using a traditional literature review approach, this research analyzes studies focusing on AI applications such as chatbots, Natural Language Processing (NLP), adaptive platforms, and intelligent tutoring systems. The review reveals that AI supports interactivity, personalization, independent learning, and motivation, enabling students to learn Arabic beyond classroom boundaries. However, challenges remain, including limited linguistic resources, dialect variation, ethical concerns, data privacy, and low digital literacy among teachers and students. The study does not develop a learning ecosystem, but instead provides conceptual insights and recommendations for future research and practice. The findings are expected to guide educators, developers, and policymakers in designing more inclusive, adaptive, and ethical AI-supported Arabic language learning environments

Abstract

This study examines how moral populism is linguistically constructed in the social media discourse of Indonesian public figure Dedi Mulyadi. Unlike dominant global models of populism that construct political legitimacy through conflict with elites, Mulyadi’s public persona emerges from empathetic encounters with ordinary citizens documented on YouTube. Rather than proposing policies, he performs ethical responsibility, framing poverty as moral virtue and leadership as personal caregiving. The analysis draws on twenty fully transcribed videos uploaded between January 2023 and January 2024 and applies an integrated linguistic framework combining discursive polarization, narrative, and appraisal theory. The findings show that (1) “the people” are constructed as morally deserving through narratives that romanticize hardship, (2) the leader is positioned as a cultural elder and ethical mediator rather than a political representative, and (3) indirect critiques of governance are articulated through linguistic contrasts between moral action and bureaucratic inaction. Public witnessing in the videos further legitimizes these moral acts, producing co-constructed authority. The study argues that Mulyadi’s discourse represents a non-antagonistic form of moral populism rooted in everyday care, shared cultural responsibility, and linguistic intimacy. These findings expand current scholarship by demonstrating how populist legitimacy in localized Southeast Asian contexts can emerge not through ideological opposition, but through ethical narration and interpersonal moral performance.
