Abstract

This scientific article aims to explore the role of local wisdom in strengthening law enforcement and preventing crime in Buton community. By employing a research methodology adhering to academic standards, the study identifies the forms of local wisdom and its implications for crime prevention. The research findings highlight the significance of cultural festivals, particularly the "pesta kampung" tradition, which embodies values such as communal harmony, compassion, and mutual cooperation. These values contribute to raising legal awareness and fostering a sense of responsibility among the community. The results underscore the potential of local wisdom approaches as effective tools for crime prevention. The implications of this study can inform policymakers, legal practitioners, and researchers worldwide, shedding light on the importance of incorporating local cultural practices into legal frameworks to promote law-abiding behaviors and enhance community well-being. Highlights: Local wisdom plays a vital role in preventing crime through community engagement. Cultural festivals serve as platforms to reinforce law enforcement values and promote legal awareness. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of service quality (X1) and trust (X2) on customer satisfaction (Y) at PT. Berkah Multi Cargo Logistics. The study adopts a descriptive quantitative approach, utilizing a total sampling method with 32 logistics service customers as respondents. Multiple linear regression analysis is employed to analyze the data. The results reveal a significant positive relationship between service quality (X1) and customer satisfaction (Y), as well as between trust (X2) and customer satisfaction (Y). Moreover, both service quality and trust demonstrate a significant positive impact on customer satisfaction. The coefficient of determination (R2) is calculated as 0.749, indicating that 74.9% of the variation in customer satisfaction can be explained by the combined influence of service quality and trust. This research employs survey methodology within a quantitative framework, employing both descriptive and inferential statistical analyses. The findings imply that enhancing service quality and fostering trust are pivotal in achieving customer satisfaction in the logistics services sector. These insights contribute to the body of knowledge in logistics management and offer practical implications for PT. Berkah Multi Cargo Logistics and similar industry professionals worldwide. Abstract

This quantitative research aimed to investigate the relationship between service quality, corporate image, and customer satisfaction at PT. Pelindo Energi Logistik. The study utilized path analysis and Sobel test to analyze the data collected from a sample of 30 companies who were customers of PT. Pelindo Energi Logistik. The findings revealed that service quality significantly influenced corporate image (p < 0.05) and customer satisfaction (p < 0.05). Additionally, corporate image had a significant impact on customer satisfaction (p < 0.05). Moreover, corporate image was found to mediate the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction, indicating its crucial role in strengthening the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction. These results emphasize the importance of enhancing service quality and maintaining a positive corporate image to ensure customer satisfaction in the logistics industry. The study contributes to the existing body of knowledge by providing valuable insights for global researchers and professionals in the field of service quality, corporate image, and customer satisfaction in the logistics sector. Highlight: Service quality significantly influences company image, indicating the impact of service provision on the perception of the company. Abstract

The marketing and product development of Micro and Small Enterprises (UMK) greatly rely on effective branding strategies. However, the utilization of online media for branding purposes is often lacking among MSE entrepreneurs. This community service initiative aimed to enhance the understanding and proficiency of UMK culinary product branding implementation in Karanganyar District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. The methodology involved short training and mentoring sessions for MSEs, focusing on three culinary business units, to design and develop marketing platforms through online media. The outcome of this activity demonstrated a significant improvement in MSEs' ability to leverage online media for branding their business products, as evidenced by the creation of various platforms such as e-commerce, Instagram, and TikTok. Implementing effective branding strategies through online media platforms has empowered MSEs to achieve optimal competitiveness in their respective culinary businesses. This study offers valuable insights and implications for researchers and professionals worldwide, highlighting the potential of online media in enhancing branding efforts for Micro and Small Enterprises in the culinary industry. Highlight: Community service enhances UMK entrepreneurs' understanding and implementation of branding through online media. Abstract

This research aimed to enhance the communication skills of studentpreneurs in the WEBS unit at Universitas Airlangga. Through a community engagement activity aligned with SDGs 4 and 8, a training program focused on public speaking skills was conducted. The two-day training in May 2023 resulted in notable improvements in participants' knowledge and skills. They displayed increased confidence, effective body language, eye contact, and improved delivery, all crucial for their entrepreneurial pursuits. The training received positive feedback, with high engagement and enthusiasm from participants and speakers. Pre- and post-test assessments revealed enhanced understanding of communication elements, cultural factors, and psychological aspects related to public speaking. Participants also demonstrated growth in public speaking abilities, showcasing greater boldness, facial expressions, vocal modulation, and originality in presenting ideas. The findings underscore the significance of practical application and continuous development of communication skills. This study offers valuable insights to researchers and professionals, providing an effective approach for enhancing communication competencies among studentpreneurs. Highlight: Community engagement activity targeting studentpreneurs within the WEBS unit at Universitas Airlangga, addressing communication weaknesses. Abstract

The article presents a qualitative study analyzing the utilization of e-banking syariah from the perspective of Maqasid Syariah, focusing on Islamic principles in financial transactions. Employing a descriptive approach and content analysis, data were collected through literature review, documentation, and interviews. The findings reveal that e-banking syariah significantly contributes to achieving Maqasid Syariah, promoting responsible financial practices aligned with Islamic principles. The study highlights benefits such as ethical transactions, wise financial decisions, and improved investment management. The implications emphasize the relevance of these findings for professionals and scholars in the field of Islamic finance and banking. Abstract

This quantitative study examines the influence of training and job design on employee retention in modern shopping centers in Surabaya. The analysis of 35 experienced respondents reveals that both training and job design are highly valued factors, with average scores above 3.25. Job design particularly stands out with an average score of 3.51. Regression analysis confirms that both training and job design significantly impact employee retention, emphasizing their crucial role in supporting employee performance and retaining valuable workforce in the retail industry. This research aligns with previous studies highlighting the positive correlation between training and employee retention, as well as the impact of job design on retention in other organizational settings. The findings offer valuable insights for HR practitioners and decision-makers aiming to enhance employee retention strategies in modern shopping centers. Abstract

This scientific article presents a comparative analysis of the erasure of disciplinary penalties for public employees in the context of organizational and statutory relationships with the state. The study explores the historical evolution of terminology used in Iraqi legislation, transitioning from "nullification" to "cancellation" in recent years. Despite variations in nomenclature, the essence of erasure remains consistent across legislations. Notably, the researched laws do not offer a legislative definition of erasure, relying instead on legal texts to regulate its application. Furthermore, the study highlights the role of administrative judiciary in handling erasure cases without providing a specific definition. By examining the goals, methods, and implications of erasure provisions, this research contributes valuable insights to the field of public employment law, aiming to foster stability in public utilities and ensure the efficient functioning of public services. Abstract

This scientific article addresses the concerning issue of increasing unemployment among university graduates in Indonesia, focusing on the Faculty of Economics and Business students at Universitas Riau Kepulauan (class of 2019-2020). Employing a quantitative approach, the research examines the influence of accounting information systems, e-commerce, and income expectations on entrepreneurial decision making. Data from 79 respondents were collected using the Slovin formula and analyzed using SPSS software. The study reveals that the utilization of accounting information systems significantly impacts entrepreneurial decision making, while e-commerce has a positive but non-significant effect. Furthermore, income expectations significantly influence graduates' entrepreneurial choices. The findings underscore the need to foster entrepreneurial mindsets among university graduates to mitigate unemployment challenges. Abstract

Madrasah in Indonesia are educational institutions whose curriculum contains Islamic lessons, which are often managed without proper planning. In this paper, the author will conduct a conceptual study based on existing literature regarding preparing strategic plans for improving management in madrasas. The conclusion of this study shows that strategic planning is essential in determining the direction of madrasah development in the future. Before compiling the madrasah strategic planning document, define the vision and mission to be achieved by all stakeholders. Then the madrasa conducts a SWOT analysis to determine its strengths and weaknesses and performs an environmental analysis to determine the weaknesses and strengths of the institution for the successful achievement of its mission and goals. After all stakeholders in the madrasa know the institution's condition, it is necessary to set targets that need to be evaluated annually. Highlights: Strategic Planning: Strategic planning is crucial for determining the future development direction of madrasahs, ensuring effective management and achievement of goals. SWOT Analysis: Conducting a SWOT analysis helps identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the madrasah, guiding decision-making and improvement efforts. Stakeholder Involvement: Involving all stakeholders in defining the vision, mission, and strategic goals fosters a shared sense of ownership and commitment to the madrasah's success.
