Abstract

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) for Diploma IV, Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral graduates in Indonesia remains high at 5.52% as of February 2023. This condition highlights the need for solutions to help graduates, particularly computer science bachelor's degree holders, secure suitable jobs. This study aims to provide job references in the technology sector that are in high demand using a Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) approach. The method employed is the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and its modification, Weighted Euclidean Distance TOPSIS (WED-TOPSIS), to rank jobs based on five criteria: work-life balance, compensation, career opportunities, income, and level of difficulty. Ten technology-related jobs, such as Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, and Software Engineer, were analyzed in this study. WED-TOPSIS was modified by adding weights to the positive and negative ideal solutions to reflect the importance of each criterion. The results indicate that WED-TOPSIS outperforms standard TOPSIS by providing rankings more aligned with the selected criteria priorities. This research is expected to serve as a guide for graduates in choosing appropriate jobs and help reduce unemployment among bachelor’s degree holders.

Abstract

The research conducted aims to implement various Teaching Assistance programs in order to increase students' motivation to learn mathematics. This study also aims to determine whether the role of the Teaching Assistance Program is an increase in student learning motivation. This research was conducted in one of the public high schools located in Serang Regency. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. The target of this research is class X students. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, interviews, participatory observation and documentation. The results of this study are teaching assistance programs such as technology-based learning using the Tiktok application, technology-based learning using Kahoot, student center learning-based learning using LKPD and Ice Breaking Dream can increase students' motivation to learn mathematics. This research shows that the teaching assistance program plays an important role in maintaining, growing, and increasing student learning motivation, especially in grade X high school students.

Abstract

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions are one of the primary causes of climate change, which has a significant impact on the environment and human health. As the second-largest emitter of carbon dioxide after China, the United States requires an effective forecasting system to monitor and control these emissions. This study aims to develop a time series model with independent variables using a combined SARIMA-QR method and compare its accuracy with the SARIMA model. The independent variables used include total industrial energy consumption, total electricity consumption, and the forecast values from the SARIMA model. The comparison of model accuracy is based on the MAPE values from the testing data between the SARIMA model and the SARIMA-QR model at the 0.50 quantile. The analysis results show that the SARIMA model achieves a MAPE value of 5.78%, while the SARIMA-QR model at the 0.50 quantile has a lower MAPE value compared to the SARIMA model. The improvement in accuracy in the SARIMA-QR model is due to the integration of independent variables, which provide additional relevant information, such as total industrial and electricity consumption, as well as the forecast values from the SARIMA model. This demonstrates that the use of independent variables can improve the accuracy of CO₂ emission predictions. The comparison of the accuracy of these two models is expected to serve as an important reference for the United States government in formulating more effective policies to manage carbon dioxide emissions more optimally.

Abstract

The main focus of this research is to analyze the results of forecasting the number of undergraduate students in Indonesia using the single moving average method to support the vision of a Golden Indonesia. This research method uses quantitative methods through the application of descriptive methods, relying on secondary data taken through the official website of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Higher Education Database (PDDikti) for the 2020-2024 period. Forecasting data will be divided into two periods, then the results of forecasting are seen with the level of accuracy that will be measured using the MAPE, MSE, and MAD methods. The prediction results show that the number of students in 2025 will reach around 9.8 million, with the best level of accuracy in the two-year period, with a MAPE result of 3.59%. This method is effective for strategic planning, including facility provision, faculty allocation, and education policy development. The findings provide a foundation for policy makers in supporting a quality education system and realizing the golden generation in 2045.

Abstract

Mathematics learning is a teaching and learning process built by teachers to develop students' creative thinking, and can improve the ability to construct new knowledge as an effort to improve good mastery of mathematics material. However, it is still difficult for a student to understand mathematics lessons and many still use lecture methods that tend to be oriented towards the material listed in the book. There needs to be innovation in the application of learning models that also affect the level of anxiety and the desired results. One of them is the Open Ended Problem-Based learning model including a learning approach that involves students in solving open problems that can increase student creativity, improve students' mathematical thinking patterns, improve students' talents and interests in mathematics, and help students think critically. The objectives of this study are: (1) To determine whether there is a difference in mathematics learning outcomes between students who follow the Open Ended Problem-Based learning model and students who follow the conventional learning model. (2) To determine whether there is a difference in mathematics learning outcomes of students who have high levels of anxiety with students who have low levels of anxiety. (3) To determine whether there is an interaction effect between the Open Ended Problem-Based learning model and anxiety levels on mathematics learning outcomes. Hypothesis test results using two-way ANOVA. Based on the results of the research and data analysis, it was obtained that (1) There is a significant influence on mathematics learning outcomes between the group of students who follow the Open Ended Problem Based learning model and the group of students who follow the conventional learning model. (2) There is no significant influence on students' mathematics learning outcomes between students who have high anxiety and the group of students who have low anxiety. (3) There is a significant interaction between the Open Ended Problem Based learning model and the level of anxiety on students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to produce valid and practical student worksheets. This research was developed through the 4-D development model updated to 3-D define, design, and development.The results of the development obtained a student worksheet with realistic mathematic education characters on the material of a system of linear equations of two variables declared valid and feasible field trials based on the assessment of material experts and design experts. In expert validation, the product received a score of 85.18% from material experts and a score of 88.86% from media experts. In the assessment test to the teacher and 98.21% of the trial to students 96.47%. The students' worksheet through this trial received a very good response with very practical criteria and showed the interest of students in using LKPD during learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the model of height increase in stunted toddlers in West Sumatra Province and the factors that influence it using the Bayesian tobit quantile regression method. Then the parameters of the resulting model will be tested for accuracy using the Bootstrap method. The data used in this study are secondary data in the form of data on the height of stunted toddlers in West Sumatra Province obtained from the West Sumatra Health Office in August 2021 and February 2022 for 1755 toddlers. After analyzing the data on the height increase in stunted toddlers using the Bayesian tobit quantile regression method, it was found that the model at quantile 0.50 was the best model because it produced smaller MAD and RMSE values ​​than other quantiles. Furthermore, the parameter estimation of the Bayesian tobit quantile regression model has produced an acceptable estimated value because it is within the Bootstrap confidence interval. The significant factors influencing the height increase in stunted toddlers in West Sumatra Province are exclusive breastfeeding and immunization.

Abstract

Employment challenges remain a persistent issue, particularly in rapidly urbanizing regions, where job creation struggles to keep pace with the expanding labor force. While the informal sector plays a crucial role in economic absorption, its long-term sustainability and workers’ mobility within the labor market require further exploration. Existing studies have examined the determinants of employment status; however, limited research has employed advanced classification methods to analyze the characteristics influencing the transition between formal and informal employment. Addressing this gap, the present study investigates the classification of employment status (formal vs. informal) in Bandung using the Chi-Squared Automatic Interaction Detection (CHAID) method, a decision tree-based algorithm that enhances interpretability in classification analysis. This study utilizes secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics and applies CHAID to identify key factors influencing employment status. The findings reveal that variables such as marital status, age, and educational attainment significantly contribute to employment classification, aligning with previous research yet offering a more structured, data-driven classification framework. By employing CHAID, this study provides a clearer visual representation of the employment structure, allowing for a deeper understanding of the patterns within the labor market. The results contribute to labor economics literature by demonstrating how classification techniques can enhance workforce analysis. Furthermore, the insights gained from this study have practical implications for policymakers in designing targeted employment programs that address labor market imbalances and promote sustainable workforce development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility, student responses, and improvement in spatial mathematical abilities through the use of an Android-based e-module for facilitating the spatial skills of eighth-grade students in geometry. This research is a development study using the R&D (Research and Development) approach with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research subjects were eighth-grade students at SMP PGRI Kramatwatu. The research instruments included Android-based e-module evaluation sheets to assess the module's feasibility and student responses, as well as test instruments to measure students' spatial mathematical abilities. Based on the results, the Android-based e-module was considered highly feasible, with a material expert rating of 80.72% and a media expert rating of 82.5%, yielding an average score of 81.61%. The percentage of student responses in the limited trial was 78.83%, and in the field, trial was 77.09%, both falling under the "good" category, with an overall average of 77.96%. The improvement in students' spatial abilities, based on the normalized gain index, reached 0.58, classified as a moderate improvement

Abstract

PT XYZ adalah perusahaan konstruksi dan engineering untuk Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS). The company has difficulty because the delivery of solar panels from the warehouse where they operate is not efficient enough to the project location, because the project in Banten, West Java, Central Java, and East Java. Using the three methods (North West Corner, Least Cost, and Vogel's Approximation) optimal solutions will be obtained to minimize transportation costs. The analysis shows that Vogel's Approximation method is the best result with the total cost of transportation equal to IDR 318,391,711, cost savings value of IDR 63,906,369 or 16.72% compared to the real cost faced is IDR 382,298,080. Overall, these results suggest that using transport optimization methods for such operations can lead to considerable cost savings and enhanced efficiency in solar panel delivery. This research is anticipated to help PT XYZ in determining the distribution of solar panels that can be more efficient as well as cost-effective in any of PT XYZ future projects
