Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implications of Islamic educational values in challenging patriarchal culture among Gen-Z teachers at SDIT An-Nurriyah Sekayu. Deeply rooted patriarchal culture often leads to gender inequality, despite Islam's emphasis on the principles of justice and equality. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that Gen-Z teachers have a critical understanding of patriarchy and believe that inequality is more influenced by social construction than Islamic teachings. Internalized values include monotheism, justice ('adl), equality (musawah), respect for human dignity, and the obligation to seek knowledge for both men and women. These implications are seen in inclusive learning, the elimination of gender stereotypes, and the instilling of mutual respect. Contextually implemented Islamic education plays a strategic role in building critical awareness and dismantling patriarchal culture in the school environment.

Abstract

E-learning serves as a support tool for teachers in fulfilling their responsibilities as educators and homeroom teachers. This system has been implemented as a learning medium; however, some users, particularly new users, still experience difficulties adapting to its interface, which differs from those of commonly used systems. This study aims to evaluate the e-learning system of SMK TI Bali Global Jimbaran in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. The usability testing method was selected to evaluate the system based on these three aspects. The techniques used in this study include Concurrent Think Aloud (CTA) and the System Usability Scale (SUS). This evaluation used a sample of 20 teacher respondents. The sample was separated by level of technology proficiency: 10 representatives from the advanced group and 10 representatives from the beginner group. In qualitative research, including CTA, the number of participants is determined based on the principle of data saturation, which occurs when the collected data begin to show repetitive patterns and no significant new findings emerge. With 15–20 users, coverage of usability problems can reach nearly 100% of relevant issues. Therefore, 20 participants are considered sufficient to ensure that the major usability problems in the e-learning system have been identified. To measure user satisfaction, the System Usability Scale (SUS) method was employed, while interface improvement recommendations were derived using the Concurrent Think Aloud (CTA) method. The respondents involved in the SUS method were the same as those participating in the CTA method. The results of the CTA and SUS analyses will serve as a basis for recommendations to improve the e-learning system in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the gap between conceptual understanding and practice of inclusive education at the managerial and pedagogical levels. The study used a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. Quantitative data were collected via questionnaires from 56 school principals and supervisors in Tuban Regency and from 99 special education teachers across various regions in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while open-ended responses were analyzed through thematic analysis. The results indicate that school principals and supervisors have a relatively high understanding of the basic values of inclusive education, particularly regarding children's rights to an adequate education and the importance of school support. However, this understanding has not been fully translated into institutional practice, particularly in facilities, adaptive learning resources, the use of assistive devices, and technical capabilities for identifying specific learning difficulties. At the teacher level, key challenges include limited ongoing training, school infrastructure, learning resources, and support for the educational ecosystem. These findings confirm that the gap in inclusive education is not only individual but also systemic. The implications of this study indicate the need to strengthen professional competencies, provide realistic institutional support, and collaborate across stakeholders to bridge the gap between the concept and practice of inclusive education in Indonesia.

Abstract

River revitalization not only results in physical changes but also creates structural pressures, such as relocation and changes in people's living spaces. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of the community's social resilience in slum areas following the Karang Mumus River revitalization project in Samarinda City. This study uses a qualitative case study design and employs purposive sampling to select informants. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and documentation. Research results show that residents who stay develop resilience, grounded in the sustainability of space, as seen through the utilization of still-owned residential assets, the sustainability of informal economic activities, and strong social ties and trust networks among residents. Meanwhile, residents who move exhibit a more dynamic and transformative form of resilience, able to reorganize livelihood strategies, use compensation as initial capital, and rebuild social networks in new environments. These findings are expected to inform the formulation of development policies that are not only assessed on the basis of physical outcomes alone but also capable of supporting the social life of the affected community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of ecoliteracy among local communities in managing mangrove tourism in Kampung Ramiki, Wasior District, Teluk Wondama Regency. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach through field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation to explore community knowledge, perceptions, participation, and conservation practices related to mangrove ecosystem management. The findings reveal that the local community has developed basic ecoliteracy through traditional ecological knowledge and local wisdom, reflected in their awareness of mangrove functions as coastal protection areas, habitats for marine biodiversity, and essential resources supporting community livelihoods. However, this ecological awareness has not been fully transformed into systematic education-based tourism management and sustainable economic practices. The study also found that mangrove tourism management remains informal, with limited institutional capacity, unequal community participation, and insufficient managerial assistance. Strengthening environmental education, community capacity, and collaborative tourism governance is therefore essential to improve sustainable mangrove tourism development. This study contributes to expanding the understanding of community-based ecoliteracy by highlighting the integration of local ecological knowledge and sustainable tourism management as a strategy for balancing environmental conservation and socio-economic benefits in coastal communities.

Abstract

This study contributes theoretically to conflict resolution and Civic Education by demonstrating how local wisdom can operationalize deliberative democracy principles in multicultural settings. Employing a qualitative descriptive design with 15 purposively selected participants, the research explores conflict resolution based on the Malay "Tunjuk Ajar" among the Malay people in Riau Province. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and literature review. The principal findings reveal that conflict resolution is operationalized through "duduk berundiang" to achieve consensus, facilitated by the Riau Malay Customary Institution. The process predominantly employs integrating, compromising, and obliging conflict management styles, embodying the core values of deliberation, consensus, truth, justice, responsibility, and social concern. The novelty lies in its explicit integration of Malay Tunjuk Ajar with Civic Education frameworks, linking customary deliberation to Pancasila's democratic principles and to the development of civic competence. Practically, this study provides a culturally grounded model for conflict resolution that can complement formal legal mechanisms and inform Civic Education curricula on multicultural citizenship.

Abstract

School well-being is increasingly recognized as a biopsychosocial construct that bridges welfare and subjective well-being theories. However, the field lacks a comprehensive account of its publication trends, intellectual structure, and thematic evolution. This study offers the first decade-spanning bibliometric synthesis of Scopus-indexed school well-being research (2017-2026), screened via PRISMA 2020 to yield 110 eligible articles, analyzed using Biblioshiny (Bibliometrix R package) and VOSviewer for complementary performance analysis and science mapping. Results show scientific production remained stagnant before 2020, rose after the COVID-19 pandemic, consolidated between 2021 and 2023, and reached record output in 2025. Productivity was concentrated among a few author clusters and institutions across Nordic, Western European, and Anglophone research ecosystems, as evidenced by steep Lotka's Law scattering (Beta = 3.51) and a Bradford's Law core of 11 journals. The field's intellectual structure integrates welfare theory, ecological systems theory, subjective well-being theory, and self-determination theory, with thematic evolution shifting toward psychometric validation, gender-differentiated analysis, and bullying-related research. Convergent evidence from keyword co-occurrence and thematic evolution analysis shows sociologically and psychologically oriented clusters increasingly interlinked around the core "school well-being" node, indicating the field is coalescing into an integrative biopsychosocial model, offering a foundation for future theoretical refinement, instrument validation, and evidence-based policy.
