Abstract

This community service aims to improve the competence of the principal of ABA Kindergarten in the city of Mataram. The method of implementing this service used training and mentoring with stages of preparation, implementation, evaluation and follow-up plans. The evaluation instrument for this activity used a survey questionnaire related to the knowledge and skills of school principals in eschool-based school management. The data analysis technique was the percentage distribution of the principal's competence before and after the training. The results of this community service showed that the principal's competence in eschool-based school management has increased after being given training. Thus, it can be concluded that eschool-based school management can improve the competence of ABA kindergarten principals in the city of Mataram.

Abstract

This community service aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of members of the Muhammadiyah Farmers Congregation (JATAM) in Riau Province in utilizing home yards for vegetable cultivation as a step toward achieving food sovereignty. The implementation methods included training and mentoring. Evaluation instruments used consist of pre-test and post-test questionnaires to measure participants’ knowledge improvement, interviews to explore perceptions and motivations, observations to assess participation and practical skills. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively and using the Paired Sample t-Test, while qualitative data were analyzed using a thematic analysis approach. The results of this community service activity showed increased knowledge and skills among JATAM members in utilizing their home yards for vegetable cultivation, including the ability to select suitable crops, prepare planting media, maintain, harvest, and manage the produce effectively. It is expected that through this program, JATAM can contribute to building food sovereignty within the community.

Abstract

This community service aims to improve the social competence of principals to encourage the strengthening of kindergarten organizational capacity. The method used is GROW- Goal, Reality, Options, and Will-based coaching approach.  Data sources consisted of 22 school principals in Driyorejo district who were accompanied by coaches from the field of education management with expertise in transformational leadership and educational organizations. The material presented in this training focuses on three areas with topics: 1) Educational organization: School as a learning organization, (2) Transformational leadership in the VUCA era. Evaluation conducted by developing a questionnaire to measure transformational leadership aspects, using a 5-point Likert scale. The instrument included key dimensions such as idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, frequency, and percentage) to understand respondents’ perceptions of transformational leadership. As a result of analyzing the instruments administered to the participants, most of the high scores on the instructional leadership indicators indicate that principals in Driyorejo kindergartens have successfully performed their role as transformational leaders. However, challenges remain, especially in improving parental involvement.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of Shaqiri SME workers by introducing appropriate technology, such as cassava chopper machines. The community service activities were carried out with a participatory approach, involving collaboration between the community service team from academia and SMEs as partners. The service team also conducted monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of service activities. The community service team conducted an evaluation using a pre-post intervention approach with evaluation instruments that included sheets and questionnaires, structured interviews, photos, and video documentation. The data was analyzed descriptively and comparatively, focusing on quantitative and qualitative changes. The results showed that the introduction of a cassava chopper machine provided benefits to Shaqiri SMEs in the production process. The cassava chopping process, which previously took a long time, became faster, the thickness of the slices became consistent, and it was less tiring for workers.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance digital financial literacy through the use of financial recording applications for the Preman Super MSME community in Malang City. The method consisted of five stages: needs assessment, basic financial management training, digital application training, intensive mentoring, and evaluation and reflection. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and the distribution of questionnaires. The evaluation of the activity was conducted by analyzing the results of the questionnaires, comparing data before and after the activity. The instrument distributed focused on digital financial literacy knowledge. The results of this service activity showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding and skills in recording transactions, separating personal and business finances, and preparing simple cash flow reports using applications such as BukuKas and Lummo. Pre–post test evaluations and practical observations indicated that more than 80% of participants experienced an increase in financial literacy and began consistently applying digital financial recording. This activity had a tangible impact on the partner community and holds the potential to be replicated for other MSME communities facing similar challenges.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve financial literacy and technical skills of MSME actors in recording daily transactions using the Microsoft Excel application. The program employed a participatory approach through three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The partner for this activity was Happy Fresh Frozen Food, Bogor Branch, an MSME that previously lacked a structured and sustainable financial recording system. The stages of the program included initial coordination and development of training materials, technical training on the use of Microsoft Excel accompanied by transaction recording simulations, and evaluation through observation, discussion, and post-tests analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The results of the program indicated that business owners began to understand the importance of transaction recording, are able to use the provided Microsoft Excel templates, and have demonstrated increased discipline in financial documentation. These findings suggest that simple digital tools can serve as transformative solutions for MSMEs in building effective and independent financial administration systems. Furthermore, the program contributes to fostering a culture of financial discipline and prepares MSMEs to face future business formalization challenges.

Abstract

This community service aims to enhance students' skills in managing and securing school networks, with a focus on Mikrotik security configuration. The target participants were teachers and students of Computer and Network Engineering at SMKS-Al Muhajirin Arosbaya. The training methods included workshops, hands-on practice, and project-based evaluations to assess students' understanding and skills. The results of the service showed a significant improvement in students' ability to manage firewalls, VPN configurations, and bandwidth settings on Mikrotik. In addition, students are also able to identify and deal with cyber threats more effectively. These results showed that the training provided was not only relevant to the needs of the industry, but also helped students be better prepared to face challenges in the world of work. This service activity is important in preparing vocational school students as competent experts in the field of network security.

Abstract

This community service aims to provide the public with practical knowledge and skills in cybersecurity, focusing on securing digital devices, digital identities, and managing digital footprints. The method used involved interactive seminar-based training and case simulations. Participants were trained to understand various types of cyber threats, recognize digital scams, and implement security measures such as using strong passwords, two-factor authentication, full encryption, and antivirus software. Additionally, participants were encouraged to manage their digital footprints responsibly to minimize the risk of privacy violations. To evaluate the effectiveness of the program, a structured instrument in the form of pre-test and post-test questionnaires was used. The instrument measured participants’ understanding of key cybersecurity concepts and safe digital practices. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics, specifically by comparing the average scores before and after the training to determine the extent of knowledge improvement. The results of this program showed a significant improvement of 35% in participants’ awareness and understanding of digital security. In conclusion, this program successfully enhanced participants’ digital literacy in cybersecurity and contributed to building a safer digital ecosystem in Indonesia.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the financial literacy of MSMEs in Bandung City, thereby improving their competitiveness in the international market. In collaboration with KADIN Bandung City, the Faculty of Economics and Business at Widyatama University conducted a participatory training session for 15 MSME participants from the culinary, fashion, trade, and service sectors. The training combined presentations, discussions, and hands-on simulations using the SIAPIK financial application, where participants practiced recording real transactions, managing cash flow, and generating financial reports using their own business data. Post-training evaluations indicated increased digital readiness and a better understanding of financial documentation, with over 80% of participants able to independently use the SIAPIK application to produce basic financial reports. Participants also recognized the relevance of digital financial tools for accessing credit and enhancing business transparency. This program offers a scalable model for financial literacy development among MSMEs and underscores the importance of institutional collaboration for sustainability and broader adoption.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance farmers' understanding and skills about various processed chili products, labeling and packaging technologies, and financial management. The program's approach is conseling, incorporating theories related to the diversification of processed chili commodities, branding, and packaging types alongside financial management procedures. The training progressed with the production of chili-based commodities, including chili syrup, chili candy, chili blocks, and chili chips. Training on labeling and packing, in addition to financial management techniques. The evaluation instrument used was a pre-test and post-test questionnaire to assess changes in participants’ knowledge. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, focusing on mean and percentage score improvements. The results of this community service project indicate that Partner's knowledge in processed chili products escalated from 45% to 95%, partners' skill in processing diverse chili products advanced from 40% to 90%, the ability to understand and design labels and food packaging enhanced from 35% to 85%, and understanding and abilities in financial management rose from 45% to 80%.
