Abstract

This research was carried out to find out the unity, coherence, and organization on cause-and-effect essay composed by the fourth semester students of Welding Engineering Study Program in Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya. This study employed content analysis in which students’ essay writings were analyzed to gain the data. The population comprised four classes, each consisting of approximately 30 students. The sampling process involved randomly selecting 3 essays from each class, resulting in a total sample size of 12 essays. The findings showed that among 12 essays, 4 essays were unified, and 8 essays were less unified. The unified essays fulfilled the following criteria; (1) clear thesis statement, (2) topic sentences, (3) consistent support, (4) coherence and transition, and (5) concluding paragraph. In addition, among the 12 essays, 4 were categorized as coherent, 7 less coherent, and 1 incoherent. The coherent essays could accomplish the following criteria; (1) using consistent nouns and pronouns, (2) using proper transition signals, (3) organizing topic in a logical sequence, (4) having unity, and (5) using connectors for linking ideas and paragraph. Nevertheless, 11 out of 12 essays showed that they had good organization, which consisted of introduction, body, and conclusion. Therefore, it can be concluded that most of students are able to compose cause and effect essay in well organized even though students still need guidance to compose unified and coherent essay.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate and analyze the promotional mix used in an effort to increase the number of credit customers at the BPR Bank Gresik Regional Public Company. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method approach. Data was collected through interviews, documentation and observation from several informants. Data triangulation was carried out to ensure the accuracy and validity of the findings. The results of the research show that the Perumda BPR Bank Gresik Credit Account Officer uses a promotional mix, namely personal sales, advertising, sales promotions, public relations and direct marketing. The findings of this research indicate that the application of the promotional mix that has been carried out by Credit Account Officers is classified as less than optimal due to several obstacles, such as limited time divided between promotions and the credit application analysis process, tight competition with commercial banks and cooperatives, lack of understanding by Credit Account Officers regarding features. social media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan upaya untuk secara sistematis mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kepuasan pelanggan di PT YZ di Pulau Jawa. Faktor-faktor tersebut termasuk kualitas pelayanan, harga, dan ketepatan pengiriman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, yang memungkinkan pengukuran yang lebih objektif terhadap variabel-variabel yang diteliti. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengambilan sampel Slovin, menghasilkan 146 distributor sebagai sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dengan skala Likert. Non Probability Sampling digunakan sesuai dengan karakteristik populasi yang relevan. Analisis dilakukan dengan regresi linier berganda menggunakan SPSS versi 25. Hasil menunjukkan variabel kualitas pelayanan dan harga tidak signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan (masing-masing dengan nilai statistik 0.499 dan 0.340 > 0.05). Namun, variabel ketepatan pengiriman berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan (nilai statistik 0.000 < 0.05), menandakan perannya yang penting dalam meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan di PT YZ.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi strategi pemasaran Rumah Sakit Petrokimia Gresik dalam menghadapi persaingan pasar dan melakukan ekspansi, serta implementasi program Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi. Temuan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Rumah Sakit Petrokimia Gresik mengembangkan strategi pemasaran efektif, menggunakan berbagai saluran pemasaran seperti sosial media marketing, publikasi di media platform, sosialisasi ke beberapa perusahaan, mengidentifikasi sasaran pasar yang tepat, peningkatan layanan dan fasilitas, kerjasama dengan mitra strategis, promosi dan kampanye pemasaran, pemberian paket layanan menarik, fokus pada pengembangan dan retensi SDM, serta evaluasi dan monitoring strategi secara berkala. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pemahaman tentang peran pemasaran dalam menghadapi persaingan pasar dan strategi dalam melakukan ekspansi pasar. Kesimpulannya, Penelitian ini mengilustrasikan bahwa strategi pemasaran yang tepat sangat penting dalam menghadapi persaingan pasar dan untuk berhasil dalam melakukan ekspansi pasar. Dalam menghadapi persaingan pasar yang semakin kompetitif, setiap bisnis harus mampu membuat dan melaksanakan strategi pemasaran yang tepat agar tetap dapat bertahan dan bahkan berkembang. Kata Kunci : Ekspansi Pasar, Strategi Pemasaran, Program OHIH. ABSTRACT This research aims to disseminate marketing strategies for Petrokimia Gresik Hospital in facing market competition and expansion, as well as implementing Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene programs. The method in this research uses descriptive qualitative, with data collection through interviews and observation. The findings of this research show that Petrokimia Gresik Hospital developed an effective marketing strategy, using various marketing channels such as social media marketing, publication on media platforms, outreach to several companies, identifying the right target market, improving services and facilities, collaborating with strategic partners, promotions and marketing campaigns, providing attractive service packages, focusing on HR development and retention, as well as regular evaluation and monitoring of strategies. This research provides an important contribution to understanding the role of marketing in facing market competition and strategies in carrying out market expansion. In conclusion, this research illustrates that the right marketing strategy is very important in facing market competition and to be successful in carrying out market expansion. In facing increasingly competitive market competition, every business must be able to create and implement appropriate marketing strategies in order to survive and even develop. Abstract

his study aims to determine the partial and simultaneous influence of independent variables (careerdevelopment, compensation, and job satisfaction) on the dependent variable (temporary employees'performance) in Flood Prevention Institution in East Java and to determine the independent variable thathas a dominant influence on the dependent variable. The sampling technique used is probabilitysampling. The sample used in this study was 67 of the 197 temporary employees in Flood PreventionInstitution in East Java. The data analysis uses multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing using theSPSS test tool. The results prove that career development, compensation, and job satisfaction partiallyand simultaneously influence the performance of temporary employees. In addition, the compensationvariable has a dominant influence on the performance of temporary employees in Flood PreventionInstitution in East Java, with a partial influence of 46.6%.

Abstract

Background: The most well-known dental and oral infection is dental caries. The hard tissues of the teeth, such as enamel, dentin, and cementum, become infected with dental caries over time. Dental caries can cause torment that frustrates everyday exercises, prevents fixation, and might in fact make loss of hunger due trouble biting. This study means to dissect the connection between utilization of cariogenic food varieties and the occurrence of dental caries in youngsters at RA Al-Fattah Gresik. Method: The sort of exploration utilized is logical and observational utilizing a cross sectional plan. The populace was 112 kids and the example utilized was 88 youngsters utilizing basic irregular testing procedures. In this review, the FFQ (Food Recurrence Quotionnaire) survey was utilized. Factual tests use Chi-square. Abstract

Objective : Response time is the speed of health workers in treating patients starting from the time the patient comes to the emergency room until he gets health care . The indicator of success is the speed of officers in providing assistance to emergency patients ≤ 5 minutes. One of the first units to go to at the hospital is the emergency room. In children, not all treatments given are acceptable and even these treatments can have an impact or effect on the child's hospitalization. This study aims to analyze the correlation between response time and the effect of hospitalization on preschool children in the emergency room of the Muhammadiyah Gresik hospital. Methods : This type of research is analytic with a cross-sectional approach with a patient population of preschool children (3-6 years) who come to the emergency room of the Muhammadiyah Gresik hospital with a total of 132 children as respondents. And using purposive sampling method. Data analysis in this study used the Chi-Square test to determine the relationship between response time and the effect of hospitalization on preschool children with a significant p value = <0.05. Results : Preschoolers children in the emergency room of Muhammadiyah Gresik hospital Most (54.5%) experienced the effects of anxious hospitalization, namely as many as 72 children. Response time of nurses to preschool children in the emergency room of the Muhammadiyah Gresik hospital, almost all of them were fast (89.4%), namely 118 children.. Conclusion : There is no correlation between response time and the effects of hospitalization in preschool children with a p-value = 0.056 Keywords: Hospitalization Effect, Response Time

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of training and work motivation variables which have an influence on employee performance with performance appraisal as an intervening variable. The methodological design in this research is to use quantitative methods and approaches. The population in this research is all 34 fitness industry employees in sidoarjo. The sampling technique in this research is a saturated sample.the data analysis method uses smartpls version 3. Findings the results of this study state that job training and job appraisals have a significant influence on employee performance, work motivation has no significant influence on employee performance, job training and work motivation have a significant influence on job appraisals, job training and work motivation have a significant influence on employee performance with job appraisals as an intervening variable.

Abstract

Diarrhea is a condition with symptoms by frequent of bowel movements with liquid consistency. Diarrhea in children often occur due to poor of personal and environmental hygiene. A person’s behavior is one of the main factors that determine the level of health. This research aims to analyse the relationship between mother’s clean and healthy lifestyle beahior with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers. This research used cross sectional approach with a population of 157 mothers who were sick in the children's room at the Muhammadiyah Hospital Gresik. Sampling was carried out in a total sampling. using a questionnaire. Collected of data use questionnaire was distributed to respondents. The results showed most of them did not experience diarrhea in toddlers as much as 81 (52%) and most of them had positive behavior as many as 82 (52%). The results of the analysis were obtained using the Chi-Square test where P = 0.000 is less than 0.05, so H0 is rejected, which means that there is a relationship between the mother's clean and healthy lifestyle and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers

Abstract

his study examines the influence of organizational culture and transformational leadership on employeeperformance, with job satisfaction as an intervening variable, at Dinas Sumber Daya Air dan Bina MargaSurabaya. The research focuses on 176 permanent employees using saturated sampling, where theentire population is included. Data were collected through direct questionnaires, allowing respondents toprovide feedback, and were analyzed using path analysis with multiple linear regression in SPSS version17.0. The results indicate that both organizational culture and transformational leadership positivelyimpact job satisfaction and employee performance. However, job satisfaction mediates the effect oftransformational leadership on performance but not the effect of organizational culture. The studyhighlights the importance of fostering a dynamic learning culture to improve job satisfaction andperformance. It suggests the Surabaya City Government continue focusing on these factors to enhanceoverall organizational outcomes.
