Abstract

Kepyar Village, located in Purwantoro District, Wonogiri Regency, possesses significant potential for the development of natural tourism due to its lush and pristine environment. However, despite its scenic beauty, the village remains relatively underpromoted, resulting in limited tourist visits, predominantly from nearby areas. This study explores the use of TikTok as a promotional tool to enhance the visibility of Kepyar Village as a tourist destination. By utilizing TikTok for destination branding, the village aims to attract a wider audience, thereby benefiting the local economy and community. The initiative is expected to raise broader public awareness about Kepyar Village’s tourism potential, contributing not only to its reputation as a tourist village but also providing an economic avenue for residents to improve their livelihoods.

Abstract

The English learning process at SDN Pabaki 019 involving grade 1 and 2 students still faces several challenges such as limited access to interactive learning media and time-consuming manual assessments. To overcome these problems, an interactive web-based learning application called Smart English Adventure was developed and implemented in the classroom. This application includes features such as teacher-managed content delivery, gamification quizzes with automatic evaluation, and flexible access for students. The development process follows the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which includes the planning, design, implementation, testing, and deployment stages. A total of 60 students and 20 teachers were involved in this initiative. Feedback was collected through structured interviews, with 85% of students showing increased enthusiasm and engagement. The findings showed that this application significantly increased motivation and supported teachers in managing and evaluating learning. This program shows potential for replication in similar educational settings.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance English literacy in Indonesia through the development of multimodal teaching methods. The program trains students of the English Education Study Program at the University of Lampung in the application of multimodal literacy and implements it at SMA YP Unila, Bandar Lampung for the 12th grade students. Activities include intensive training for students, the creation of learning modules, and direct implementation in partner schools, targeting university students and high school students. The results show that the multimodal literacy approach based on the Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka Program can improve students' ability to write narrative texts, as evidenced by an increase in the average score from 71.5 in the pre-test to 81.5 in the post-test. This approach, which integrates text, visuals, and audio, provides a more comprehensive learning experience, boosting students' motivation, creativity, and independence in learning English. The program aligns with the Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka Program by offering practical and relevant experiences for both university and high school students, while fostering student autonomy in learning.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted to introduce and promote the use of Motion Graphics and Image Generative AI technologies as innovative tools to support digital content creation, particularly in the context of industry and government institutions. Through a workshop format, participants were provided with an overview of how these technologies can improve the quality, clarity, and appeal of visual communication. The session included a conceptual explanation of Image Generative AI, such as Adobe Firefly, which allows users to generate visual assets through text prompts, and Adobe After Effects, a powerful tool for producing dynamic animations and motion graphics. Participants actively followed the material presented and showed interest in how these tools can be applied in real-world promotional or branding efforts. The workshop concluded that integrating these technologies holds great potential for enhancing institutional communication strategies. Future programs are expected to include more hands-on and practice-oriented sessions to further develop participants’ digital production skills.

Abstract

The Ngarsopuro Night Market Solo Merchants Association is currently facing competition challenges from online traders as well as a lack of technological knowledge. These obstacles make it difficult for merchants to compete. To address these issues, training and mentoring activities on the use of social media were conducted in October 2024, attended by 50 association members. The method applied was the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method. The activity results showed an increase in the engagement rate on participants’ accounts. The engagement rate, which was previously below 1% (low engagement), significantly increased to more than 3% (high engagement). This increase demonstrates that the program effectively improved customer engagement.Recommendations for the program’s sustainability include conducting advanced training and initiating the formation of a digital community for Ngarsopuro Night Market Solo Merchants. It is hoped that this activities can continue and provide long-term benefits for the Ngarsopuro Night Market Solo Merchants Association.

Abstract

The problem of Hutumuri village officials is that they are limited in presenting data visually so that the available data is difficult to understand by the community. Therefore, the team decided to provide training to Hutumuri village officials in managing and utilizing population statistics data to create effective and attractive infographics. Village officials were trained to understand the basics of statistics, how to interpret data, and techniques for creating infographics using MS Excel. The training also covered data visualization concepts, such as the selection of colors, typography, and icons to make infographics attractive. Infographics are used to publish population statistics in Hutumuri Village, and village officials can easily present data in visual form at meetings or community gatherings. By this community service activity, village officials better understand the concept of population statistics data, can calculate and present population statistics in Hutumuri Village.

Abstract

Understanding smart home technology is increasingly important as automation and IoT become integral parts of modern living and industry. Arduino is a microcontroller that is widely used in practical technology applications, including smart home technology. Smart home systems are computer-based systems that provide comfort, safety, security, and energy savings automatically. They can be programmed via a computer connected to the internet and can manage electrical equipment that can be controlled, monitored, or accessed remotely. To connect Arduino to the internet, the ESP8266 is used. The ESP8266 is a low-cost Wi-Fi microchip with built-in TCP/IP networking software and microcontroller capability. The Arduino system for education and learning at SMK Al Falah Dago is based on an ESP8266 microcontroller embedded in the Arduino Uno Smart Home Installation for connecting to cellphones, relays, lights, and fans as controlled electronic devices. SMK AL Falah Dago is a vocational high school that offers a program in electrical engineering scope, so this training is crucial to equip students with the necessary expertise to design, install, and maintain smart home systems, preparing them to meet the demands of the evolving technological landscape.

Abstract

Banjarwaru Village, Nusawungu District, Cilacap Regency, has natural resources, especially eucalyptus plants, which have the potential to develop the economy of the village community. The biggest problem faced by LMDH Dadi Makmur as a unit that manages the eucalyptus oil business is that after the production of eucalyptus oil distillation, it will produce residual waste from eucalyptus twigs and leaves with quite a large volume and only allowed to be piled up around the yard where the distillery is, causing area storage of essential oil raw materials is narrow and also takes a long time to become organic fertilizer. The innovation offered through this community service activity is implementing a briquette printing machine from eucalyptus oil refining waste, which is energy efficient and based on solar panels. The dedication results show that the eucalyptus oil waste processing activity and reducing environmental pollution also produce biomass briquettes that the residents of Banjarwaru Village can utilize as a leading economic product of Banjarwaru Village. The test data of the briquette making machine shows that the output voltage from the inverter produces an AC voltage with a value of 216 - 221 V, so that it can rotate the AC motor with a rotation of 800 - 1400 rpm.

Abstract

Nighttime illumination in Wiyata Tech Village, Kutamanah, Sukasari District, Purwakarta, has been limited due to the reliance on low-capacity lamps. To address this issue, solar panels were deployed to provide public street lighting (PSL), aiming to enhance energy autonomy and utilize renewable energy resources. The village, covering an area of 30.1 square kilometers, is part of Sukasari District, which spans 92.01 square kilometers and includes five villages. This community service project involved the installation of solar panels in Desa Kutamanah, with a participatory approach fostering local empowerment and technology adoption. A satisfaction survey conducted one month after installation revealed overwhelmingly positive feedback from residents, who noted significant improvements in lighting and community impact. The program successfully demonstrated the effectiveness of solar panels in improving street lighting, fostering energy independence, and encouraging sustainable use of renewable resources.
