Abstract

The world of Islamic boarding schools currently faces a major challenge in aligning traditional values ​​with the demands of global competence. This journal analyzes the crisis of human resource formation in Islamic boarding schools that causes a gap in the quality of graduates in the digital era. Using the Maslahah framework, this study explores how Islamic boarding schools can transform without losing their identity. This study aims to formulate a Human Resource Crisis Based on the Maslahah Concept as an effective strategy in maintaining the welfare of the public and educational institutions. Through literature studies and qualitative analysis of cases of human resource crises in the quality gap in the digital era, this model proposes five pillars of communication in maslahah: Speed ​​and Informative Honesty (Hifz al-'Aql), Decisions that Guarantee the Safety of Life (Hifz al-Nafs), Fair and Transparent Resource Allocation (Hifz al-Mal), Strengthening Solidarity and Public Morality (Hifz al-Din and Hifz al-Nasab), and Restoring Long-Term Welfare. The results of the study indicate that the integration of digital literacy based on Maqasid al-Shariah is a strategic solution to close this quality gap, so that Islamic boarding school graduates are able to become agents of change that are relevant to the needs of the times while still upholding the principle of the welfare of the people.

Abstract

Learning for children with special needs requires instructional approaches that can accommodate the diversity of students’ characteristics, potentials, and learning needs. One relevant approach is strength-based individual learning, which is designed by building on students’ potentials and strengths. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of strength-based individual learning as a strategy to enhance the engagement and independence of children with special needs at SLB Negeri Sumenep. This research employed a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of three students with special needs who had different types of learning barriers. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was carried out qualitatively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of strength-based individual learning significantly increased students’ learning engagement, as indicated by improvements in attention, active participation, and emotional involvement during the learning process. In addition, students’ learning independence also improved, as evidenced by reduced dependence on teacher assistance and increased ability to complete tasks independently. These findings indicate that strength-based individual learning is an effective and applicable strategy for improving the quality of education for children with special needs in special schools.

Abstract

The development of transportation corridors often triggers significant spatial transformations and directly affects the socio-ecological dynamics of a region. Over the past decade, the Bypass      BIL area in West Lombok Regency has rapidly developed as a strategic corridor connecting economic activities, residential areas, and the Mandalika tourism destination. This development has increased human demand for accessibility and economic opportunities, while simultaneously exerting pressure on the capacity and quality of natural resources. This study aims to analyze the interrelationship between human needs and natural resource management in achieving sustainable development in the Bypass      BIL area using the Driver–Pressure–State–Impact–Response (DPSIR) framework. The research was designed using a mixed-methods approach that integrates post-positivist and constructivist paradigms. Data were collected through remote sensing analysis, field observations, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and document and secondary data analysis. The results indicate that economic demands, tourism development, and spatial planning policies serve as the main driving forces that generate environmental pressures in the form of land-use conversion and ecosystem degradation. These pressures have led to declining environmental conditions and increased socio-economic vulnerability among local communities. This study highlights the importance of integrative, collaborative, and environmentally ethical policy responses to ensure that the development of transportation corridor areas proceeds in an equitable and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This research aims to describe critical listening skills learning strategies by using video media in Indonesian language learning at primary schools, particularly on folklore subjects. Listening skills are an important aspect of language proficiency, because through effective listening activities students can understand the information and meaning of messages delivered orally. This research uses a qualitative approach with multi-case study designs, which focuses on the use of video media to improve students' critical listening skills. The data is collected through observations, interviews and documentation, then analyzed using interactive models with the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and conclusions. The results show that before the use of video media, students' ability to listen to folk stories was still low, demonstrated by understated values. Once video media is applied to learning, there's a significant improvement in students' critical listening skills. Students become more enthusiastic, easier to understand the content of a story and able to answer questions accurately. Thus, the use of video media can be an innovative and effective learning strategy for improving critical listening skills in primary schools.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 007 Samarinda Ilir, particularly in the subject of Pancasila Education. The purpose of this study was to improve students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education on the topic Norms in My Daily Life through the use of Wordwall learning media for fifth-grade students at SDN 007 Samarinda Ilir in the 2025/2026 academic year. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. The research process followed four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 28 fifth-grade students of SDN 007 Samarinda Ilir, while the object of the study was students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education. Data collection techniques included observation, testing, and documentation. The instruments used were teacher activity observation sheets, student activity observation sheets, and evaluation tests. Data analysis techniques involved calculating averages, percentages, and graphical representations. The results showed an improvement in students’ average scores from the pre-cycle stage, which was 62.1 with a mastery percentage of 39% (very low category). In Cycle I, students’ learning outcomes increased by 16.16% from the pre-cycle baseline, with an average score of 72.14 and a mastery percentage of 61%. In Cycle II, learning outcomes increased by 24.79% from the pre-cycle baseline, achieving an average score of 77.5 with a mastery percentage of 82%, where 23 students achieved mastery and 5 students did not. This result exceeded the predetermined success indicator of 75%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of Wordwall learning media effectively improves learning outcomes in Pancasila Education on the topic Norms in My Daily Life for fifth-grade students at SDN 007 Samarinda Ilir in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve the learning outcomes in Integrated Social and Natural Sciences (IPAS) of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 11 Mataram on the topic Norms in My Life through the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, each conducted in one meeting. The study was carried out at SD Negeri 11 Mataram during the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, involving 25 fourth-grade students as research participants. In Cycle I, only 56% of students achieved mastery of learning outcomes. This percentage increased significantly to 84% in Cycle II. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the CRT approach is effective in improving students’ IPAS learning outcomes, particularly on the topic Norms in My Life.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Pancasila and Civic Education teachers in addressing bullying behavior among students at SMP Negeri 1 Sukamulia, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors that influence this role. The background of this study is based on the increasing incidence of bullying in schools, which has a negative impact on students’ social, emotional, and moral development. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Interviews and observations were conducted with PPKn teachers, guidance and counseling teachers, the school principal, and students. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that PPKn teachers play roles as educators, leaders, motivators, and facilitators. The supporting factors for PPKn teachers in addressing bullying behavior among students at SMP Negeri 1 Sukamulia consist of internal factors, including pedagogical competence, personality, interest, and enthusiasm of PPKn teachers, and external factors, such as family support, extracurricular activities, school policies, and government programs, including Child-Friendly Schools and the Strengthening Character Education program. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors faced by PPKn teachers in addressing bullying behavior at SMP Negeri 1 Sukamulia include family factors, peer association factors, and students’ lack of discipline and resistance to school rules.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of integrating Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning on elementary school students’ empathy, self-regulation, and character development. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group pretest–posttest model. The research subjects consisted of 60 fourth-grade students at SDIT Al Hidayah, who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group received PAI instruction integrated with SEL, while the control group followed regular PAI instruction. Data were collected using an empathy scale, a self-regulation scale, and a character observation rubric. Data analysis was conducted using analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) with pretest scores as covariates. The results indicated that the integration of SEL into PAI learning had a significant effect on improving students’ empathy, self-regulation, and character development (p < 0.05). Among the measured variables, self-regulation showed the largest effect size compared to the others. These findings demonstrate that PAI learning integrated with SEL is more effective in developing students’ social-emotional competencies and character than conventional PAI instruction. This study contributes to the development of a contextual PAI learning model that is relevant to the demands of 21st-century education.
