Abstract

This study is aimed at investigating the effect of financial literacy, financial attitudes and financial behaviour on the growth of micro- and small-sector enterprises (MSMEs) in Trenggalek Regency, Indonesia. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire and a Likert scale. The analysis technique used in this research is partial least squares analysis using structural equation models (SEM-PLS). The results showed that financial literacy and financial behaviour has an effect on the growing of MSMEs In Trenggalek Regency. MSME managers who have a high level of literacy will have knowledge, skills and beliefs that will influence their attitudes and behaviour in making financial decisions. Financial attitudes have no effect on MSME growth. Although MSME owners have positive attitudes towards finance, they may be unable or unwilling to take financial steps that support the growth of their business

Abstract

Stunting in toddlers is a global health problem affecting children's physical andmental development. This study aims to analyze the prevalence, trends, causes, and impact of stunting on toddlers in West Java province from 2014-2021. It also provides poor nutrition, sanitation, and access and healthcare practices. The analysis results show that although preventive and intervention efforts have been undertaken by the government, stunting rates in children under 5 years of age in West Java still remain high during the study period. Bad nutrition, especially bad nutrition in the first 1,000 days of life, was identified as the main cause of stunting in this region. In addition, poor hygiene and lack of access to health care also played a big role in this problem. Stunting has a serious impact on the physical and cognitive development of toddlers and can affect their productivity and health in the future. Therefore, real steps need to be taken to improve good nutritional access, provide education on the importance of nutrition in pregnancy and childhood, as well as improving the health infrastructure and medical services facilities in West Java. This study provides an in-depth understanding of stunting dynamics in children under 5 years of age at the regional level, so that it can serve as a foundation for more effective intervention policies and programs to lower the malnutrition rate.

Abstract

As the manager of the industrial area, currently PT. KIM has problems related to traffic jams that occur around the KIM roundabout and to reduce the number of traffic accidents at KIM due to collisions between vehicles from opposite directions, it is necessary to carry out traffic engineering in the area. Traffic engineering is related to the implementation of repair work Roundabouts are not only road construction improvements but also include traffic engineering before, during and after construction. Simulation of traffic conditions to provide alternative solutions to traffic problems that occur at the KIM II Roundabout using VISSIM software. From the results of the simulations that have been carried out, it can be seen that almost all road sections have a level of service F, which means they have a VCR value > 1. This is included in the oversaturated category, side obstacles and delays increase, stopping and moving events increase, if the flow increases, the vehicle speed is equal to zero (complete stop). This condition causes delays on one of the sections of 151 vehicle seconds and this condition is not very good because it will lengthen the queue of vehicles crossing the roundabout. In accordance with the simulation that has been carried out, and based on several applicable regulations regarding the traffic system at roundabouts, several alternatives for handling traffic problems in the KIM II Roundabout area are provided.

Abstract

The Development Of Traditional Fermented Food Products Into Functional Food, Utilizing Indigenous Microorganisms, Represents A Novel Innovation. Lactic Acid Bacteria (Lab), Which Are Abundantly And Readily Isolated From Native Fermented Foods, Hold Promise For The Exploration Of Local Lab Strains – A Strategic Step Towards The Development Of ProbioticBased Foods In Indonesia. Enterococcus Faecium 1.15 Isolated From Bakasam Beef, Has Demonstrated The Capability To Produce Extracellular Proteases (4.83 U/Mg) And Displayed Inhibitory Effects Against Pathogenic Bacteria. The Production Of Bioactive Peptides, With A Size Less Than 30 Kda, Could Be Achieved Through Bakasam Fermentation Using E. Faecium 1.15 As A Starter For A Period Of 7 Days. This Study Promotes An Opportunity To Harness Local Microorganisms, Particularly Lab Strains In The Utilization Of Bioactive Peptides As Well As Enhancing The Nutritional Value Of Traditional Fermented Foods.

Abstract

The present study reviewed a number of articles chosen from a screening and selecting process on the various different methods that can be used in the context of chatbot development and dialogue managers. Since chatbots have seen a significant rise in popularity and have played an important role in helping humans complete daily tasks, this systematic literature review (SLR) aims to act as a guidance for future research. During the process of analyzing and extracting data from the 13 articles chosen, it has been identified that Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Ensemble Learning, Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), and Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) is among some of the most popular algorithms used for developing a chatbot. Where all of these algorithms are suitable for each unique use case where it offers different advantages when implemented. Other than that, dialogue managers lean more towards the field of Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL), where Deep Q-Networks (DQN) and its variants such as Double Deep-Q Networks (DDQN) and DDQN with Personalized Experience Replay (DDQN-PER) is commonly used. All these variants have different averages on episodic reward and dialogue length, along with different training time needed which indicates the computational power needed. This SLR aims to identify the methods that can be used and identify the best proven method to be applied in future research.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the factors that influence delays in returning containers to shipping company depots. Because delays in returning empty containers can result in some containers not being able to be used for the next shipment because they have not been returned to the depot, so the goods have to wait to be loaded into the container. This type of research uses qualitative research, by conducting an interview with one of the shipping company employees, then processing it using a fish bone diagram or Ishikawa diagram so that the author can find out the causes and effects of why the container was returned to the depot late. The problems faced by shipping companies are delays in returning empty containers, which results from late payments to shipping companies, full consignee factory/warehouse conditions, difficult permits from the relevant authorities due to expiration and so on. Efforts that need to be made to prevent this are by providing a time limit for processing the return of empty containers, the need for other alternatives if there is a buildup in the consignee warehouse by appointing another party as the unloading location, as well as increasing the competency of human resources who are directly involved in cargo handling.

Abstract

Asia is the second highest number of work accidents in the world after Africa. There are over 30% of major accidents experienced in the oil and gas industry triggered by inadequate maintenance. The fatal accidents in oil and gas accident increased from 2019 to 2022 in Indonesia. This qualitative study aims to analyze the risks that may occur in offshore oil and gas survey activities at Company X, an oil and gas survey company in Indonesia using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Company X is a company that provides survey activities for oil and gas as the main service. Primary data are collected by interviewing the vessel manager, an Executive, and three employees involved in offshore oil and gas surveys. The FMEA steps are transcribing the answers, arranging them to make them easier to understand, providing a severity rating, setting the occurrence, detection rating, calculate the Risk Priority Number (RPN), prioritizing activities work that has highest RPN value, for determining long-term improvement strategies. The study reveals that the RPN for working accident turned out to be the highest from all risks which is 175 points, meaning that this risk has the highest ranking and need a mitigation as soon as possible. The recommended actions for this risk are regular maintenance for audits and inspections and upgrading FFA (Fire Fighting Appliances) and LSA (Life Saving Appliances) equipment.
