Abstract

Education sector in Indonesia was shocked by the total change from the previously offline-based education system to online, due to the state of the Covid-19 pandemic. No country wants to experience this pandemic, but the rapid spread has changed all sectors of life, especially the education in Indonesia. Educators are required to continue to carry out online learning activities, but not all educators can create learning video content. Moving on from this problem, an online quick education was made to make learning videos using mobile phones, which was organized by Maranatha Christian University in collaboration with Guru Mengajar untuk Nusantara and STKIP PGRI Trenggalek. The material given was flyer design techniques, photo taking techniques, and making videos with Kinemaster. The postermywall and kinemaster applications used can be downloaded on the playstore on android. The activity was open to teachers and lecturers for free and guided for one month. Participants who registered were 1059 people from various district in Indonesia and were guided by 39 instructors. At the end of the activity, 510 participants (48.16%) passed with the criteria of being able to make learning videos until they were uploaded to YouTube.

Abstract

35% of the population of Seneng, Banyurojo Village, Mertoyudan District, Magelang Regency are of school age. They begin to actively interact with peers, both from their home and school environment, both direct interaction and through social media. Interaction during the socialization process is feared to have a negative impact on children's behavior towards criminal acts. For this reason, prevention efforts need to be made so that cases of children in conflict with the law do not occur through legal counseling activities. The result of legal education counseling activities regarding juvenile delinquency is to increase the understanding of PKK Dusun Seneng women about the various juvenile delinquency, the causal factors and efforts to prevent children from being involved in crime. Strengthening legal understanding for PKK members of Dusun Seneng was useful in the parenting process, so that they are able to support the vision of Banyurojo Village point 7. It is to encourage the realization of a village community that is religious, dignified and cultured and has noble character to create a harmonious, orderly, safe and peaceful social life.

Abstract

Most of the people of Ba'ka Village are conventional palm sugar farmers whose whose selling prices are cheap. The purpose of this service is to provide innovation in palm sugar into ant sugar. Through training in making ant sugar, it is hoped that it can increase people's income. The stages of community service include needs analysis, problem formulation, work program formulation, and work program implementation, and evaluation. This service activity produces ant sugar products that are packaged in a modern way. Ant sugar products can attract consumers because they are more durable, hygienic, and practical.

Abstract

The government has implemented the Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS) program through promotion of the pharmaceutical sector related to drug storage at home. However, there are still many problems in storing household medicines in the community. This activity was carried out through a community empowerment approach using the community capacity building method for a community organization, Aisyiyah, which consists of Muslim women in the Grendeng village, Purwokerto. This activity ws carried out in stages, namely pre-test methods, lectures, group teaching, self-empowerment through peer teaching and training, and measuring the success of activities using post-tests. Based on the whole series of activities, the knowledge of partners about storing medicines at home has increased in a good category.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic brings new challenges as well as new threats to the sustainability of the business of women entrepreneurs (womenpreneurs). Health protocols affect the business processes, sales and income of womenpreneurs. Meanwhile, womenpreneur skills are limited and require additional business skills to support resilience and adaptation in the new normal era. The purpose of this community service is to contribute to womenpreneurs by sharing knowledge and experiences. Participatory assistance to partners by involving the role of academies, practitioners, womenpreneurs from students and SMEs was a form of service method. The socialization and education materials delivered were about new normal business innovation behavior and product legality. The final result of the service shows that partners get business inspiration along with new knowledge and experience to support their business progress. The activity of sharing knowledge in community service implicitly implies the importance of the synergy of business actors, practitioners and womenpreneurs, both from SMEs and students to support business sustainability.

Abstract

A person's literacy level in a certain matter of how high his ability or skill in their spesific field. However, the problem faced by partners is the low level of English literacy in supporting learning. The priority of the program to be implemented is to improve (1) English literacy skills, (2) mastery of storytelling techniques, and (3) public speaking skills. Participatory methods, training, mentoring for partners, and evaluative were applied in the implementation of this activity. The output of this community service program is an increase in mastery of English literacy and speaking English in public, as well as knowledge of storytelling techniques.

Abstract

A healthy environment is a basic human need and a right for everyone. Muhammadiyah has a commitment to the environment, clean living and healthy education through the process of character education, but the results are not optimal. One of the solutions offered is the Muhammadiyah Green School (MGS) program. This service program is carried out to improve the insight and skills of SMP Muhammadiyah Turi in running MGS and preparing policies for implementing MGS. Community service was carried out using a community development and participatory approach, with several methods, namely community education, training, diffusion of science and technology and consultation. The MGS program at SMP Muhammadiyah Turi has been implemented through a green curriculum, green community, and green school, and green culture. Green curriculum was carried out through the integration of good values ​​and care for the environment in subjects, local content about the environment, as well as HW scouting extracurriculars. The green community was developed by forming MGS cadres, student guardian associations to take part in the MGS program, as well as forming student picket teams. Green school is carried out by managing school resources with “tabulampot” of rare plants, verticulture, painting school facilities, and so on. Green culture with the “kurasaki” program, enforcement of school rules, “clean operations”, and the installation of banners for environmental campaigns. With mentoring by teachers and guidance by the task force team, MGS at SMP Muhammadiyah Turi can create a more conducive environment for academic and social interactions, become a medium for character education, and provide fulfillment of the right to a clean and healthy environment.

Abstract

Excess fat intake causes the accumulation of body fat which results in obesity. The high cholesterol levels cause health problems and the reproductive system of women of childbearing age. Excess fat intake is influenced by several factors such as a lack of understanding of the consumption of nutritious and healthy foods, and the impact of excess fat intake on the risk of obesity, high cholesterol and menstrual cycle disorders. The purpose of this service activity is to control excess fat intake, obesity, high cholesterol levels, and regularity of the menstrual cycle of women of childbearing age. The methods used in this service activity include health education seminars, screening for obesity, cholesterol levels, and regularity of the menstrual cycle and nutritional diet-based mentoring. After the service activities, it was found that there was an increase in understanding about excess fat intake, obesity, high cholesterol and the menstrual cycle. Then, there are changes with the achievement of normal weight, normal cholesterol levels and regular menstrual cycles in women of childbearing age.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to change the mindset of the community to implement a waste bank system as a solution for handling waste in Geduang Village, Kalijoso Payaman, Secang District. The method used to achieve this goal is to disseminate information about waste banks and waste processing to target groups, establish a waste bank organization, and implement waste bank management. The stages of activities carried out include preparation, socialization, implementation of training, formation of associations, and evaluation. The results achieved in addition to increasing awareness for the community about the importance of processing waste properly and correctly, also the success of the community in making new handicraft products through waste media that has economic value.

Abstract

Adolescence is a transitional period between children and adults, where there is rapid growth, secondary sex characteristics arise, fertilization is achieved and psychological and cognitive changes occur. However, the level of adolescent knowledge about reproductive health is still low. As a result of the lack of knowledge of adolescents about reproductive health, among others, the increase in the number of unwanted pregnancy. Unwanted pregnancy in adolescents also occurs in one area in Yogyakarta city, so that community-based preventive interventions are needed. The intervention provided was in the form of psychoeducational activities for adolescents and parents. Parents are given intervention because they have a role in preventing unwanted pregnancies in adolescents, for example by maintaining effective communication with adolescents and getting used to being open mind. The results of this activity have proven to be effective because they can increase knowledge significantly.
