Abstract

There are concerns that toll road construction will change livelihoods and reduce agricultural production. This study aims to map the potential agricultural land affected by toll road construction and to analyze the changes. The research was conducted from July to August 2020. The research site was in South Lampung Regency with the consideration that this area is one of the districts affected by toll road construction and is a center for food crops in Lampung Province. To see land changes carried out with a remote sensing system and then calculate the rate of land change. The rate of land conversion analyzed is in the period 2014 to 2020 in South Lampung Regency, with the assumption that in 2015, toll roads will be built and in 2020 the construction will be completed. The data source used is the 2014 and 2020 land use map of South Lampung Regency, the result of interpretation of Landsat imagery. The results showed that the toll road construction almost entirely took up agricultural potential land, both land used for plantations and food crops. From the total land area, 72.13 percent is plantation land and 25.12 percent is land planted with food crop commodities. Key words: agricultural production, conversion, satellite image, toll roads

Abstract

Sumberejo District is one of the highest tomato production centers in Tanggamus Regency. Tomato trading activities are faced with the problem of fluctuating prices and limitations of trading channels at the farmer level, so it is necessary to analyze the tomato trading system if it is seen from the high amount of production in Sumberejo District. The purpose of this research is to identify the trading system activity in the tomato trading system and channel, calculate the margin of the tomato trading system in each trading channel, analyze the efficiency level of the tomato trading channel in each trading channel, analyze the elasticity of price transmission and market structure in the District of Sumberejo. Tanggamus Regency. The method used in this research is qualitative and quantitative methods. The data in this study is to collect primary data and secondary data. The trading activities carried out by farmers include selling tomatoes, assuming risks, and financing. Trading activities in a trading system include selling tomatoes, buying tomatoes, transporting, weighing, taking risks, financing, and market information. There are 3 trading channels formed in Sumberejo District. The trading channel I consists of farmer-traders, gatherers-retailers-consumers. Channel II consists of farmer-wholesaler-retailer. Channel III consists of farmer-trader-gatherer-wholesaler-consumer. The margin values for the trading channel I, the trading channel II, and the trading channel III, each obtained a margin of Rp 3,000, Rp 3,000 and Rp 4,000. Based on several indicators and the value of marketing efficiency, the trading channel II is an efficient channel compared to channels I and III. The value of price transmission elasticity is 0.785 (Et <1). In general, the structure of the tomato market leads to imperfect competition, namely the oligopsony market)

The samples were 95respondents taken by using survey method. Moreover, the result of the study explained that rubber tappers’household expenditure in Karang Jaya, consist of carbohydrate (44,60%), non-carbohydrate (25,06%), and non-food (30,34%). The carbohydrate expenditure is the highest percentage among others. Abstract

This research aims to: scan organic agricultural products from the production side, by comparing production and revenue through the application of two kinds organic fertilizers formulation; and scan from the market side, by observing marketing channels, and consumer responses to organic products produced. Both organic fertilizer formulations are obtained through the Linear Programming (LP) application that was conducted in May 2018-July 2018. Research conducted by the method of action research. For plants that need planting sweet corn, spinach, kale, and beans by applying both formulations in two experimental plots, with an area of respectively 40 m2, 14 m2, 14 m2, and 40 m2. Then, from the market side, crop yields are distributed through institutions involved in the marketing of these commodities, and then market data is obtained. The results show that, in terms of farm production and analysis, the provision of production can be done at a more competitive price, as indicated by high crop productivity, and minimal fertilizer costs; and from the market side, shows that 80% of distribution takes place through channels that require the services of intermediary traders, and consumer responses show that organic farming products are better than conventional agricultural products that they consumed previously.Introduction
