Abstract

In 2016, Ubung Denpasar Terminal transitioned from Type A to Type C, as determined by the Mayor of Denpasar through Decree Number 188.45/1060/HK/2016. Located on Jalan Cokroaminoto, Ubung Village, North Denpasar District, Denpasar City, this terminal serves as a vital transportation hub. However, due to infrastructure problems and damage, all Inter- Provincial Buses ceased operations at Ubung Terminal. Consequently, the terminal now exclusively serves mini/micro buses within the province and Trans Metro Dewata in Bali Province. To address the terminal’s needs, comprehensive research was initiated to evaluate facility shortages through inventory analysis. Using a qualitative descriptive analysis methodology, the research aims to identify improvement areas, aligning with the technical guidelines in the Decree of the Directorate General of Land Transportation Number 271/ HK.105/DRJD/96 concerning technical specifications for public passenger vehicle stops. The expected outcomes are to enhance the functionality, safety, and comfort of Ubung Terminal, thereby increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of public transportation services in Denpasar

Abstract

The research aims to know and analyze the impact of business risk and capital structure on the growth of sea transportation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2020. Some of the problems encountered in this study, among others, namely, high business risk can reduce company growth, high capital structure can reduce company growth and also high debt to shipping companies can lead to difficulties in determining the composition of capital structure. Path analysis is used to test the hypothesis proposed in this study by using the Partial Least Square application. The total sample of 45 consisted of nine companies with a five-year observation period taken by purposive sampling technique. The results showed: business risk has no impact on firm growth, capital structure has no direct impact on company growth, business risk has a positive and significant direct impact on capital structure, and business risk does not directly impact company growth through capital structure mediation. The study concludes that business risk positively impacts capital structure, so the declining capital structure decreases business risk.

Abstract

Some of the main research problems are the lack of fuel efficiency use, difficulties in loading and unloading process, the refueling process tardiness and the ships route’s delay of the determined and planned routes that could affect the Ciremai Ship’s On Time Performance (OTP). The research aims to determine and analyze the effect of production and fuel oil cost modifications based on the income of Ciremai Ship and its implications for its financial performance after “Three in One” modification. This research used Descriptive statistical analysis method and hypothesis testing using SmartPLS-3. The research sample was taken from the entire routes of Ciremai Ship over the last four years of 48 months. The secondary research data was taken from the financial reports related to production modifications, fuel oil costs, the income and financial performance of the ship. Research findings show that the production modifications have a direct influence on financial performance while fuel costs and income do not have a direct influence on it. The production modifications do not have a direct effect on income instead fuel costs have a direct effect on income and production modifications do not have an indirect effect on financial performance through income.

Abstract

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area IV Semarang is one of the state-owned enterprises that operates its business activities in the field of railroad transportation services, which provides facilities and infrastructure to support the smooth transportation of passengers and goods. Along with the increasing flow of goods and loading and unloading operations, all stakeholders involved in the railroad sector are increasingly improving the quality of work and service so that all operations at the terminal run well. This study aims to determine the causes of decreased loading and unloading productivity and the influence of facility factors, human resources, and time on the productivity of loading and unloading retail freight. This research was conducted at PT Kereta Api Indonesia DAOP IV Semarang UPT Terminal Semarang Tawang. Data collection was done through questionnaires, observation, and documentation. This study employs quantitative research methods. The data processing shows that the drop in the productivity of loading and unloading retail transportation is due to a number of things, such as the facilities for loading and unloading (X1), the number of workers (X2), and the amount of time spent loading and unloading (X3). The SPSS output shows that all three of these variables have some effect on the productivity (Y) of retail freight at PT Kereta Api Indonesia DAOP IV UPT Terminal Semarang Tawang.

Abstract

The development of goods delivery services could be seen from the growth of service companies’ quantity domestically and abroad. People could determine which delivery services they will use based on their will and the service quality. Freight forwarding companies often experience difficulty in retaining delivery services’ loyal customers. The purpose of the study is to analyze the influence of satisfaction, service quality, and customer’s services on customer’s loyalty of the freight forwarder company. The research technique used the Quantitative approach that the survey data was collected and processed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method of AMOS 22 software. This research used 200 purposive sampling of the company’s customers as respondents. The results show that there is direct and indirect influence of customer’s satisfaction, service quality, and customer’s service on customer’s loyalty. Therefore, the role of service quality and customer’s satisfaction has a significant impact on the business continuity of freight forwarding service companies. It means that the freight forwarding company should maintain the customer’s loyalty optimally by increasing customer’s satisfaction through the quality of service provided to customers in order to build the customer’s loyalty.

Abstract

Trip Attraction Rate (TAR) serves as a load factor utilized in aggregate transportation modeling. Conventional estimation consumes a lot of time and manpower for field surveys. Meanwhile, open data sources, such as Google Maps, offer an alternative approach to conducting a survey. The popular times feature from Google Maps can estimate coffee shop TAR in the city of Bandung. This study focuses on coffee shops in Bandung City. Data was collected using web scraping techniques on Google Maps and produced a sample size of 377 data points after the validity and reliability processes. Subsequently, multiple linear regression was employed to estimate TAR. The findings reveal that variables like building area and distance to public transportation hubs influence TAR simultaneously. Moreover, our approach could also distinguish TAR between weekdays (0.13 people/m2/hour) and weekends (0.14 people/m2/hour) in Bandung City. This result challenges the usage of Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) standards, which is often due to limitations of time and workforce in conducting surveys for TAR estimation. The difference in values indicates the need to estimate specific TAR for each city in Indonesia rather than relying on ITE values, and the proposed approach to using open data sources will shorten the estimation process.

Abstract

Ensuring adequate food provision to meet human basic needs is of utmost importance. In Indonesia, achieving food security involves meeting the food requirements of all individuals and eliminating the risk of famine. The government's strategy to ensure national food security centers on maintaining a steady supply of rice throughout the year, recognizing its paramount significance. To address this concern, this study aims to enhance rice supplies at Gudang Bulog Baru Tempel Lemahbang 202 Blora by implementing the economic order quantity (EOQ) method. The research findings demonstrate that by utilizing the EOQ method, the optimal rice supply order size would be 15,319.4 tons. This order should be placed 119 times per year, given the 280 business days available. The annual cost of implementing this policy at Gudang Bulog Baru Tempel Lemahbang 202 Blora is estimated to be Rp. 424,484,526. Implementing the EOQ method proves beneficial in minimizing the cost for individual rice orders due to its high frequency throughout the year, which directly affects the total cost. Nevertheless, it is crucial to reassess alternative policies to further reduce the overall cost incurred in both the short and long term if the objective of the EOQ method is cost minimization.Top of Form
