Abstract

Buah Stroberi (Fragaria x ananassa) mengandung senyawa Flavonoid dan Vitamin C yang mampu meningkatkan daya ingat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas suspensi ekstrak buah Stroberi (Fragaria x ananassa) terhadap daya ingat tikus jantan (Rattus norvegicus) yang di uji dengan metode labirin. Ekstraksi menggunakan maserasi dengan etanol 70% sebagai pelarut. Pada penelitian ini, 15 ekor tikus jantan dibagi ke dalam lima kelompok perlakuan, yaitu X1 (Suspensi ekstrak buah Stroberi dosis 160 mg/200grBB), X2 (Suspensi ekstrak buah Stroberi dosis 180 mg/200grBB), X3 (Suspensi ekstrak buah Stroberi dosis 200 mg/200grBB), Kontrol Positif (Pyritinol), dan Kontrol Negatif (Suspending Agent). Seluruh kelompok dimasukan kedalam labirin selama 18 hari dan mencatat waktu tikus menyelesaikan labirin. Sediaan diberikan dihari ke-8 dan dihentikan pada hari ke-18. Data dianalisis dengan uji Krukal Wallis yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu rata-rata waktu tempuh X1 (456,20 detik), X2 (293,02 detik), X3 (475,54 detik), Kontrol Positif (377,76), dan Kontrol Negatif (442,29). Hasil uji Mann Whitney menunjukan bahwa suspensi ekstrak buah Stroberi (Fragaria x ananassa) pada dosis 160 mg/200grBB dan dosis 180 mg/200grBB tidak memiliki perbedaan efektivitas dengan Pyritinol terhadap daya ingat tikus jantan yang diuji dengan metode labirin. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah suspensi ekstrak buah Stroberi (Fragaria x ananassa) memiliki efektivitas terhadap daya ingat tikus jantan yang diuji dengan metode labirin.

Abstract

The principal is the leader and manager in the school, managing the school in conditions of limited infrastructure and the majority of quadrant IV students require a lot of innovation that must be done. The purpose of writing this best practice is to present a description or description of innovations about improving limited school achievement and the majority of Quadran IV students through the application of prosi-based management. The formulation of the problem in writing this best practice: can the application of prosi-based school management improve school achievement in limited sarpras schools and the majority of quadran IV students? and what is the evidence that the application of prosi-based management can improve school achievement in limited sarpras schools and the majority of quadran IV students? The method used in writing this best practice is descriptive qualitative. The implementation of prosi-based school management began in mid-February 2014 until now. After the implementation of problematic-based school management and its solutions (prosi), every year school achievement has increased. Based on the results and discussion of best practices, the following conclusions can be drawn: (1) The implementation of prosi management in sarpras schools is limited and the majority of quadrant IV students at SMKN 3 Rejang Lebong Bengkulu Province have proven to be able to improve school achievement; (2) Evidence of the successful implementation of prosi-based management at SMKN 3 Rejang Lebong are: (1) in 2015 the school received an award from the Minister of Education and Culture regarding schools that have high integrity in organizing the National Examination; (2) in 2016 began to receive the appointment of LPMP Bengkulu to become a model school for the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI); in 2017 the school was still a SPMI model school and students won achievements in the O2SN and Vocational High School Student Competency Contest (LKS) at the Regency, Provincial and National Levels. In 2018, he won many achievements in the LKS SMK at the Bengkulu Province level including 1st place in Livestock and Fishery, 2nd place in Pharmacy and 3rd place in IT / Networking support. In 2018, the writer as the principal of the school received an award from the Minister of Education and Culture as the second winner of the Best Practice Competition for the National Level Vocational Principals. In 2019, students of SMKN 3 Rejang Lebong won 3rd place in the field of pencak silat in the National Vocational High School Student Sports Olympiad (O2SN). Another proof of the success of the application of prosi management is that many other schools have begun to arrive for comparative studies at SMKN 3 Rejang Lebong, such as: SMKN 2 Bengkulu Tengah and SMKN 2 Seluma. Then in 2019 SMKN 3 Rejang Lebong was designated as a reference school by the Directorate of Vocational Development of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction is essential and determines the company's success, including customer loyalty, profitability, sales, and business performance. Therefore, this research focuses on efforts to reveal the effect of ticket price policies and customer relationship management (CRM) on passenger satisfaction by mediating service quality. The research used a survey method with a sample of 100 passengers of the Pioneer Ship of KM Belt Nusantara 76. The research instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale, and the results were analyzed using path analysis processed with Smart-PLS 4 software. The results show that ticket price policies, CRM, and service quality directly affect passenger satisfaction, ticket price policies and CRM directly affect service quality, and service quality significantly mediates the indirect effect of ticket price policies and CRM on passenger satisfaction. This evidence produces an empirical model about the effect of ticket price policies and CRM on ship passenger satisfaction through service quality. It not only provides a theoretical contribution to the development of transportation management science, particularly marketing management related to ticket pricing policies, CRM, service quality, and customer satisfaction, but also provides practical implications for shipping companies that manage pioneer ships, especially KM Sabuk Nusantara 76. Therefore, this empirical model can be used for discussion among academics, researchers, and practitioners before being adapted or adopted to increase passenger satisfaction in the future.

Abstract

The purpose of writing in this paper is to present a description of innovations regarding the application of problem solving management by principals in an effort to improve school achievement. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research is useful in the field of principal management in managing schools that have limited infrastructure and students who are categorized as less, both economically and academically. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the application of problem solving management by principals can improve school achievement marked by the number of awards received by schools, increased public interest and the existence of other schools that have comparative studies in schools. The novelty in this study is the managerial pattern of the principal in dealing with various kinds of complex problems but is still able to improve the quality of the school.

Abstract

Tujuan dari paper ini adalah mengeksplorasi bagaimana pelatihan kepemimpinan visioner bagi guru SMK Negeri 3 Rejang Lebong, Provinsi Bengkulu. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan adalah 1) menjelaskan kepada peserta pelatihan tentang apa dan bagaimana pemimpin yang visioner; 2) memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta pelatihan untuk berdiskusi baik secara teori dan fakta di lapangan bagaimana pemimpin yang visioner; dan 3) mengevaluasi pemahaman dengan memberi pertanyaan. Hasil dari pelatihan ini, peserta memahami Problem Solving Decision Making karena problem solving akan menjadi skill yang sangat dibutuhkan di masa depan. Problem solving adalah sebuah pola pikir atau mindset yang akan membawa secara tidak langsung untuk berpikir positif dan solutif. Selanjutnya Effective Leadership yaitu mengembangkan cara kerja baru dengan menyesuaikan diri dengan kenyataan di luar dan tidak hanya yang terjadi di dalam batas-batas organisasi. Berikutnya Transformational Leadership yaitu teori yang mengatakan bahwa pemimpin bekerja dengan tim untuk mengidentifikasi perubahan apa yang diperlukan untuk memperbaiki kondisi. Kemudian Creativity & Innovation, salah satu skill di dalam pelatihan ini untuk mendorong pemikiran innovasi dan kreativitas melalui pemecahan masalah di dalam kondisi tertentu. Terakhir, Inspiring & Motivation merupakan salah satu hal yang paling menonjol dari gaya leadership milenial adalah merangkul anggota dengan baik.

Abstract

PT Jakarta International Container Terminal (Persero) is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) engaged in port services to uphold the smooth flow of marine vessels. One of the strategies that can uphold success in business is that the company can provide optimal service quality, to be able to win the competition which in the end will get maximum profit. Pt. Jakarta International Container Terminal is a large port, in addition to serving freight transportation, it also serves container loading and unloading.

Abstract

This study focuses on the teachers’ strategies in teaching reading comprehension. The objective of the research is to find out teachers’ strategies in teaching reading comprehension. To reach this objective, this study used qualitative method and case study design for investigating and analyzing the natural situation focused on teachers’ strategies. To collect the data, this study used participants who involved in this study were three teachers in one of senior high schools in Garut. The result showed that the teachers used different strategies in teaching reading comprehension. The strategies are memorizing, question and answer relationship, silent reading, game, discussion, and reading aloud. Hopefully, this study may portray a clear explanation for readers about teacher’s strategies in teaching reading comprehension.

Abstract

The national standardized school summative examination (USBN) is the test for measuring student competency achievement, it is constructed by Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) about 25% and MGMP Province 75%. However, in improving the quality of the test, it is addition the cognitive dimention of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) as the standard. The purpose of this study is to prove the quality of the test in terms of item analysis, distribution of hots and consistency of the test. This study was conducted by analyzing the national standardized school summative examination (USBN) 2019 items, answer sheet, key answer and syllabus.The data was collected from archieves in one of Senior High School. The result shows that the item analysis of the test is valid and reliable, the level of difficulty is not balanced, the discriminating power is sufficient, and the effectiveness of distractor is mostly need revision. Moreover, the distribution of hots has pass the limit and the test consistency is satisfactory in criteria of a good test.

Abstract

Some of the main research problems are the lack of fuel efficiency use, difficulties in loading and unloading process, the refueling process tardiness and the ships route’s delay of the determined and planned routes that could affect the Ciremai Ship’s On Time Performance (OTP). The research aims to determine and analyze the effect of production and fuel oil cost modifications based on the income of Ciremai Ship and its implications for its financial performance after “Three in One” modification. This research used Descriptive statistical analysis method and hypothesis testing using SmartPLS-3. The research sample was taken from the entire routes of Ciremai Ship over the last four years of 48 months. The secondary research data was taken from the financial reports related to production modifications, fuel oil costs, the income and financial performance of the ship. Research findings show that the production modifications have a direct influence on financial performance while fuel costs and income do not have a direct influence on it. The production modifications do not have a direct effect on income instead fuel costs have a direct effect on income and production modifications do not have an indirect effect on financial performance through income.

Abstract

Numerous studies have highlighted the need for competent teachers in today’s classrooms. Many suggest that to meet this demand, the preparation should be stipulated at the pre-service level so, when the graduates become in-service teachers, they are already well-prepared to meet the requirements of competent teachers. This study explores the use of pedafiction stories and reflection to familiarize EFL pre-service teachers with teacher competence. The data were obtained from observation, focus group interviews and reflection papers to be analyzed by using thematic analysis (Braun Clarke, 2022). Forty-two pre-service teachers were involved in six TEFL class sessions focusing on the topic of English Teacher Competence in the Indonesian context. They read and reflected on the pedafiction stories, shared their reflections on the stories through a pair-share activity, and wrote individual reflections. The findings reveal that pedafiction stories exploration and reflection have enabled the pre-service teachers to identify the English teacher competencies shown by the character in the story. Besides, the pre-service teachers could relate the topic of teacher competence to a broader social context. Pedafiction and reflection, to a certain extent, have also contributed to the development of the pre-service teachers’ teaching identity. The findings shed light on the potential of stories and reflective practice for English teacher preparation at the pre-service level.
