Abstract

This study aims to reveal and analyze the effect of SICABOX learning media on the scientific thinking ability of science students in grade IV SD. This type of research is experimental research with a quantitative approach. This experimental research is classified into pre experimental form of one group pretest posttest design. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, documentation and tests (pretest and posttest). The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis to calculate the mean, median, mode, standard deviation, and variance. Requirements analysis with normality test, homogeneity test, and through independent t-test. The results of the study using the t-test state that the results of the posttest hypothesis test calculation obtained a sig. (tailed) value of 0.001 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average student learning outcomes between the control class and the experimental class. In other words, we can conclude that SICABOX media has an effect on students' scientific thinking. I recommend this paper to develop critical thinking and problemsolving aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the I-SETS (Islamic, Sciene, Environment, Technology and Society) approach on student science learning outcomes. This study uses quantitative methods with Quasy Experimental Design type Control group pretest-postest, with the presence of another group called the comparison group or control group, it can be seen from those given treatment compared to those who do not get treatment. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis to calculate the mean, median, mode, standard deviation, and variance. Prerequisite analysis with normality test, homogeneity test, and to test the hypothesis in this study used independent t-test. Based on research using the t-test, the Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.016 <0.05, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an effect of the I-SETS (Islamic- Science, Environment, Technology, Society) approach on student science learning outcomes. For future researchers, in addition to learning outcomes, the I-SETS approach can also be applied to 21st century learning based on 4C skills, namely Critical thinking, Creativity thinking, Collaboration, and Communication.

Abstract

Beginning reading is an activity that is carried out in an integrated manner, including recognizing letters and words and then connecting them with their sounds and meanings so as to obtain conclusions about the meaning of the reading. The learning process in early reading is carried out by recognizing language in writing, through writing students are required to be able to pronounce the symbols of language sounds with sounds that produce clear meaning, accuracy and success at the early reading stage will have a major impact on improving further reading skills. The research aims to find out the difficulties of beginning reading for third grade students at SDN 1005 Sidomulio, South Barumun Subdistrict, researchers obtained information that there were several students who had difficulties in beginning reading. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The subjects of this research are several students who still have difficulty reading, especially beginning reading, namely 6 students. The data collection techniques used were interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results obtained from this study are the difficulties experienced by students, including those who do not recognize letters, still have difficulty saying words without spelling, still have difficulty spelling difficult words and do not recognize some letters. Factors that hinder students in beginning reading are psychological factors, environmental factors and lack of interest and motivation and environmental factors where the lack of parental attention in teaching children to read when at home.

Abstract

This research focuses on teaching speaking skills using Audio Visual to first grade students in one of the schools in the city of Medan. This study compares the results student achievement in speaking before and after using Audio Visual teaching method. The population of this study totaling 21 students and the sample was all students in that class. From the analyzed data there was an increase in all four aspects. Based on the data, the pronunciation is which is most improved by the Audio Visual method. There was an increase of students in speaking after students are taught to use Audio Visual method. The results show that students have a positive attitude response to the use of Audio Visual because almost 90% of the responses were positive towards the use of Audio Visual methods to teach speaking. Technological developments seem to have had many positive impacts about education. Technology provides various fun learning media student. One of the technological developments that can be used as learning the medium is YouTube. YouTube provides various types of videos related to learning. In learning English, EFL learners can find various types of videos that can be helpful learning process. Therefore, YouTube can help students to improve their abilities language skills, especially speaking skills. Because of that, it is recommended that English teachers who have similar problems also do the same try using Audio Visual to teach speaking.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a fundamental skill that plays a crucial role in student's academic success across various disciplines. Powtoon is a user-friendly digital tool that allows users to create engaging animated presentations and videos. With its intuitive interface and customizable features, Powtoon offers educators a creative platform to design interactive learning materials that can captivate students' attention and facilitate comprehension of complex textual content. This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of utilizing the Powtoon application in improving students' reading comprehension skills. Researchers uses quantitative method. The population in this study is all students of Ad-Durrah Junior High School in Medan. Sampling will be done randomly (cluster random sampling), where each class has an equal opportunity to be a research sample. Two classes will be sampled, consisting of one control class and one experimental class. The result shows that the use of powtoon as a medium to improve students' reading comprehension. This media is a creative and innovative way to make a learning video in teaching English, which can stimulate students to learn and not be bored in reading a text.

Abstract

Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mengetahui peran dan implementasi layanan bimbingan karir dalam memberikan dampak terhadap perencanaan karir siswa di MA Muallimin Muhammadiyah Makassar. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan guru BK, menyampaikan bahwa sebagian besar siswa belum memahami terkait urgensi perencanaan karir. Siswa berpendapat bahwa tugas di sekolah hanya untuk belajar dan belum saatnya untuk menyusun perencanaan karir untuk masa depannya. Namun, hal tersebut nampaknya keliru. Pada dasarnya, siswa XI harus telah mampu menentukan karir untuk masa depannya agar dapat menyusun perencanaan sesuai dengan karir yang dipilihnya. Adapun metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Pada model ini, membagi prosedur menjadi dua siklus. Adapun subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MA Muallimin Muhammadiyah Makassar. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang dilakukan, diperoleh bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan kognitif siswa setelah diberikan pemberian layanan dengan menerapkan dua siklus. Dengan meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif tersebut, membuat siswa dapat lebih efektif dalam membantu siswa untuk meningkatkan perencanaan karir siswa.

Abstract

Phubbing or the act of ignoring people around you by using gadgets has a significant impact on social skills. Phubbing hinders the development of essential social skills and reduces the quality of communication in daily interactions. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of the phubbing phenomenon on social skills in improving life skills among Social Sciences Education Students at the Indonesian Education University, so that it is hoped that students will know the impact that phubbing has on their social skills. This approach uses a quantitative approach with survey methods. The results of this research show that there is a significant influence of phubbing on social skills in improving life skills. Abstract

This research aims to increase students' learning concentration in learning to read in class III elementary schools by applying the ice-breaking technique. This classroom action research was carried out over two cycles. Data was collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The research results show that the use of ice-breaking techniques is effective in increasing students' learning concentration. The questionnaire showed an increase in concentration from "poor" in the initial stage to "very good" in the second cycle. Observations of student activities also showed a significant increase from "poor" to "very good" in the second cycle. This research has important implications in the educational context, namely that teachers can utilize ice-breaking techniques to increase learning effectiveness and create a positive classroom environment. Although there are several limitations to this study, the results provide an important contribution to the educational context and provide a basis for further research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kegiatan sosialisasi kurikulum yang diterima pihak madrasah selama satu tahun terakhir. Memetakan tantangan implementasi kurikulum madrasah selama masa pandemi merespons pemberlakuan kurikulum baru. Menganalisis efektivitas strategi yang dilakukan sejumlah madrasah dalam implementasi kurikulum baru di masa pandemi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan teori design dan asesmen kuriikulum Clayton R. Wright & Judith T. Johnso. Dasar pemilihan metode penelitian tersebut yakni fokus utamanya ada pada konsekuensi penelitian yang akan mengkaji secara mendalam terkait implementasi pengembangan kurikulum baru. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah sekolah Madrasah Aliyah seluwu Raya dan Tana toraja Sulawesi selatan yang berjumlah 54 madrasah baik Negeri maupun Swasta. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara bertingkat dengan teknik metode Multi Stage Sampling. Temuan yang didapatkan dalam penelitian diantaranya untuk elemen purpose yakni; pertama, tujuan pengembangan kurikulum sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan harapan masyarakat atau sebaliknya. Kedua, tujuan program pembelaran dan dirancang dengan jelas yang akan terapkan di Madrasah. Elemen kedua content yaitu meliputi inti dan pokok materi diajarkan pada peserta didik misalnya pembelajaran pendidikan bahasa Arab. Elemen ketiga, memuat metode pembelajaran, pengalaman belajar peserta didik yang melibatkan strategi pengorganisasian seputar kegiatan pembelajaran. Elemen terakhir, evaluasi implementasi kurikulum yang digunakan sebagai langkah untuk memilih materi yang sesuai.

Abstract

Pancasila, as the nation's ideology, reflects the worldview of the Indonesian people. The relationship between Pancasila and education is outlined in Law No. 20 of 2003 on the National Education System. The Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5) is a significant initiative in efforts to reinforce nationalist character in Indonesia. This study aims to explore the implementation of P5 through a literature review method, focusing on content analysis of various related literature. This research method involves gathering and analyzing data from policy documents, academic journals, books, research reports, and news articles. The results show that P5's implementation strategy includes developing an integrated curriculum, intensive teacher training, collaboration with local communities, and the use of educational technology. Despite challenges such as limited resources and integrating P5 into an already dense curriculum, there are recommendations to improve implementation, including strengthening teacher training, developing a more integrated curriculum, and applying continuous monitoring and evaluation. In conclusion, the implementation of P5 holds great potential in shaping the nationalist character and identity of Indonesian students, but comprehensive support from all stakeholders is needed to achieve long-term success.
