Jurnal Pendidikan Fisika dan Sains (JPFS) or called "Journal of Physics and Science Education" (in english) is a journal that focuses on research on physics education, other science education (chemistry, biology, and Natural Science), and science (theory and application of physics, chemistry, and biology). JPFS publishes a scientific paper on the results of the study and review of the literature in the sphere of natural science education in primary education, secondary education and higher education. Abstract

This research was conducted to develop the Merdeka Curriculum learning tools, namely the Physics Teaching Module on Alternative Energy material that meets the validity criteria. The research method used is a quantitative method which is interpreted and analyzed qualitatively. The Teaching Module was developed using a 4-D development model which was simplified to 3-D. This Teaching Module was developed based on provisions and characteristics that refer to the learning principles in the Independent Curriculum. Data collection instruments include validation sheets and questionnaires. The validation sheet includes content validation and language validation. Validation was carried out by three experts with expertise in physics education and language education. The questionnaire was given to practitioners, namely two physics subject teachers at one of the high schools in Garut Regency. The data obtained was then processed quantitatively by calculating the percentage of each aspect and the overall percentage. The processing results are then interpreted and analyzed qualitatively to determine product validity. The research results showed that based on the validity test, the Module was declared very valid with a validity percentage of 82.7%. This shows that the module developed is valid and can be used as a learning module.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Subjek penelitian adalah kelas XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen sebanyak 33 orang siswa dan kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 35 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes hasil belajar siswa.Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji Independent Sampale t Test dengan uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) penerapan pembelajaran melalui pemanfaatan media pembelajaran Fisika berbasis video animasi terlaksana secara efektif. 2) Tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar Fisika antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan hasil uji-t diperoleh nilai thitung = 0,592 > ttabel = 2,000 3) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar Fisika pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan pembelajaran di SMA 5 Negeri Kendari. Hasil pengujian  hipotesis pada kelas eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan pembelajaran diperoleh nilai thitung = 3,257 > ttabel = 2,000 dan hasil pengujian  hipotesis pada kelas eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan pembelajaran diperoleh nilai thitung = 8,204 > ttabel = 2,000. 4) Terdapat perbedaan antara hasil belajar Fisika kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sesudah perlakuan pembelajaran di SMA Negeri 5 Kendari dengan perolehan nilai thitung = 4,350 > ttabel = 2,000.

Abstract

The population in this study were all students of class XI MIA at SMA Negeri 2 Ende in the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 95 students, and the sample in this study were students of class XI MIA 2 totaling 31 students obtained by purposive sampling technique. Furthermore, the data collection technique used a non-test technique, namely a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed with descriptive statistics. The results showed that the overall average of students' creative thinking abilities was categorized as quite creative, namely (64.4%). In addition, there is 1 student who is in the very creative category that is equal to (3.2 %), 4 students in the creative category that is equal to (12.9 %), 24 students in the quite creative category that is equal to (77 %), 2 students with a less creative category that is equal to (6.5%) and no one is categorized as not creative from 31 students. This shows that most of the students of class XI IPA 2, their creative thinking skills are quite creative.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan supaya meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Weru Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share. Subject dalam penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas VIII A SMPN 1 Weru sebanyak 29 orang. Desain penelitian yang dipergunakan yakni Penelitian Tindak Kelas (PTK) melalui tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data hasil penelitian didapatkan dari lembar evaluasi berbentuk tes pilihan ganda. Selanjutnya melaksanakan analisis melalui penggunaan rumus persentase. Hasil tindakan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata peserta didik yang semula sebesar 64,28 pada siklus I menjadi 77,85 pada siklus II. Hasil perlakuan juga menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan jumlah peserta didik yang mencapai nilai ketuntasan belajar lebih dari 78 yaitu dari 12 peserta didik (siklus I) menjadi 22 peserta didik (siklus II). Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik kelas VIII A SMPN 1 Weru TA 2023/2024.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of load mass on the damping coefficient value. The method used in this research is an experimental method where loads with varying masses of 100gr, 120gr, and 140gr are oscillated into three types of liquid, namely water, our oil, and tropical oil. The analysis is based on damped oscillations using Python software which aims to process the data because with the training model in it it is hoped that it will be able to provide more accurate results. Based on the results of data analysis, the damping coefficients (b) for water, minyak kita oil, and tropical oil are respectively (0.0412, 0.0505, 0.0533), (0.1068, 0.1181, 0.1364), and (0.1035, 0.1299, 0.1436). These results indicate that the greater the mass of the load, the greater the resulting damping coefficient.

Abstract

Pembelajaran sepanjang hayat menjadi kebutuhan esensial di era digital. Perkembangan teknologi menuntut adaptasi cara belajar, termasuk dalam sains seperti fisika. Materi gerak lurus sering dianggap abstrak dan sulit dipahami siswa, sehingga diperlukan strategi pembelajaran inovatif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan dan memvalidasi Online Learning Environment (OLE) terintegrasi dengan cybergogy untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi gerak lurus. Penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Instrumen validasi berupa rubrik penilaian oleh ahli. Hasil validasi menunjukkan OLE yang dikembangkan menunjukkan validitas tinggi dengan persentase rerata 92,7%. Komponen-komponennya sesuai dengan standar dan mendukung pembelajaran daring yang efektif.

Abstract

This research was conducted against the backdrop of the emergence of problems in the use of fossil energy which caused Indonesia to have an energy crisis. Education is one of the efforts to prevent the energy crisis. Therefore, research on the development of teaching media integrated with Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) was conducted. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of material and media validation and students' responses to the acceptance of teaching media. This research has developed ESD integrated animated video teaching media to facilitate visualisation learning on renewable energy material. This research method uses R&D with Thiagarajan's modified 4-D research model with stages namely define, design and development. This research. The results of material expert validation obtained a percentage of 83.7% which was categorised as very feasible and media validation obtained a percentage of 85.4%. Student response to teaching media obtained a percentage of 87.7% which is categorised as very good.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the effect of mass and spring type on spring constant through a series of practical experiments. The method used is the experimental method which involves hanging different masses (0.05 Kg, 0.07 Kg, and 0.1 Kg) on three types of springs (strong, medium, and weak) and measuring the change in spring length. The results were analyzed using Hooke's law to determine the spring constant. The data showed that the strong spring had a more stable spring constant compared to the medium and weak springs, which showed greater variation. The spring constant obtained for the strong spring was 10-11 N/m, for the medium spring was 9.24-18.84 N/m, and for the weak spring was 4.71-5.4 N/m. The results support the hypothesis that spring type and load mass affect the spring constant significantly. The strong spring showed higher stability despite the changing load, while the medium and weak spring showed greater variation. These findings are relevant to Hooke's law and provide additional empirical evidence on spring elasticity.

Abstract

Surface tension is a critical physical property in various applications, yet the understanding of temperature effects on surface tension remains limited. This study aims to investigate the influence of temperature on the surface tension of water through laboratory experiments. The method includes measuring surface tension in hot and cold water using simple equipment. The results show significant variation in surface tension, with hot water exhibiting higher surface tension compared to cold water under certain conditions. These findings contradict the theory that increasing temperature should reduce surface tension. Factors such as measurement errors and water contamination likely affected the results. This study highlights the importance of developing stricter methodologies for surface tension measurements and provides essential insights for practical and educational applications.

Abstract

In this research, researchers analyzed the increase in spring length in relation to the changing load or mass of the object (variations in the mass of the object) using Phet Simulation or a virtual laboratory which can be used on the website platform. The aim of this research was carried out using the Phet Simulation virtual laboratory, to determine the relationship between length and mass of objects in spring experiments to enable more effective and efficient use of tools and materials and by using this virtual laboratory it can make it easier for teachers and participants to carry out practicums remotely. distant and independent. The method used in research in this virtual laboratory is experimentation and using a quantitative approach. The results of the graphic analysis obtained show that the relationship between force and increase in spring length is linear or directly proportional, which means that the increase in spring length (x) is proportional to the force applied (F). This means that the greater the force applied, the longer the spring will stretch, which is in accordance with Hooke's Law theory.
