Abstract

The purpose of this PKM is to provide a solution of the problems facing counterparts cultivator of milkfish and Tilapia is Sipakamase Group in Gentung Village, Labbakkang Sub District, Pangkep District. The main problems faced by fish farmers in the district are the high use of inorganic fertilizer, the more of low quantity of produce, often the attack disease and decreacing quality of ponds. The target to be achieved is to give new technology innovation on the use of vermi-compost on the cultivation of milkfish and Tilapia by applying in minapadi system. This application is expected to used as a solution of the problems facing fish farmers. The method done begins with conducting observations on ponds, plan and design of minapadi system, application of vermicompost in the pond. The result of PKM are the rise of their knowledge and skill in organic farming system that capable to reduce the cost of the production and increase pond productivity.

Abstract

The existence of traditional blacksmith craftsmen in Tellu Limpoe Subdistrict, Sidrap Regency is now threatened with being displaced by machine technology. Constraints faced by blacksmith craftsmen are raw materials and equipment that are still traditional, capital production costs, raw materials that are difficult to obtain, have not been able to take advantage of advances in information and technology and market competition. The production technology used by blacksmiths is still conventional and is a hereditary skill, as well as the design has not been market oriented, so the quality of the products produced cannot compete especially with similar products produced by industries that have used modern technology. This service aims to improve the welfare of blacksmith craftsmen and the community in Tellu Limpoe District so that this handicraft business can survive amid competition in factory production. The method used in this service is in the form of socialization, training, mentoring and guidance of blacksmith craftsmen. The results of devotion in the form of mindset changes, increased managerial skills and increased income of blacksmith craftsmen.

Abstract

Tomohon is a city that has many people craft’s industries and one of them is a bamboo craft industry inKinilow village. In this place, the production process of woven bamboo which starting from cutting down, skinning,breaking until depleting processes is still traditional or manual by using machete and knife. As a result, the productperformance has a low quality because there is un-uniforming a product size (especially in the thickness) and form.In order to solve that problem, in this activity, we apply a bamboo depletion machine to increase the quantity andquality of bamboo depletion production for bamboo crafts. Bamboo depletion machine is a machine that works toattenuate bamboo with the thickness that can be arranged as needed. This machine is used to help smallentrepreneurs produce bamboo depletion products in large quantities by saving time and labor. The results show thatthis bamboo depletion machine has an average capacity of 550-650 layers/hour (about five times higher than manualprocess). So that, the productivity and quality of products made of bamboo can be improved and uniform accordingto consumer’s standards. Besides, tiredness and pains of workers can be released by using a bamboo depletionmachine.

Abstract

The acceleration of diversification of food consumption based on local resources has become a government policy. One form of the implementation of the policy is the optimization of the use of the yard. To optimize the function of the yard as a source of vegetable food, training in hydroponic technology education activities has been conducted with community partners in the village of Tunikamaseang, Maros Regency. The Community Partnership Program is carried out with the aim of increasing: 1) hydroponic system vegetable farming techniques and skills, 2) increasing family food security. The method used is the reflection, demonstration and practice of hydroponic system cultivation, with the Participatory Rural Appraisal approach. The result of devotion achieved is an increase in partner's knowledge and skills in the cultivation of the hydroponic system. The output of this activity is the vegetable cultivation model of the hydroponic system.

Abstract

This partnership program aims to provide knowledge and skills of writing an English abstract for English Teacher Association, Somba Opu district, Gowa used to express their ideas in a brief, concise, conclusive and informative manner to produce some scientific works. It is expected that it can develop skills, attitudes and a writing culture as a medium for sharing concrete thoughts, both through printed and non-printed media. This program is packaged in the form of training which consists of several activities , namely (1) presentation of material  about the concept of basic writing of an abstract by utilizing the online facilities of information and technology  in the current situation of a pandemic covid 19, namely Zoom, Google Meet, and Watch Application, (2)  individual assignment to write an abstract , (3) abstract presentation , and (4 ) revision of abstract  in terms of choice of diction or grammatical mistakes given during the presentation session. The methods used in this training are quite varied, namely lectures, discussions/presentations, and individual consultations to the team.  The result of this program showed that (1) the participants gained a good understanding about the concepts and writing organization for English abstract, and (2) there were 85% of them were able to make up a well-organized abstract. It takes into account that this program has a positive impact toward their participant knowledge and skill of writing an English abstract.

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to utilize inorganic waste, especially plastic, intohandicraft products with good economic value. This program is conducted on March to October 2018 inPa'bundukang village, Pangkaje'ne district of Pangkep Regency, with Lotus Housewives Group and AsokaHousewives Group. The activity in this program consists of counseling, training, mentoring and demonstration. Theresults show that the housewives' creativity and the community in general in reusing from plastic waste increased.Through counseling, training and demonstration on how to use inorganic waste creatively, the inorganic wastematerial can be made into various kinds of interesting and economical handicraft products to increase the income ofhousewives.

Abstract

The students of MTs Sultan Hasanuddin Pattunggalengang Limbung, Bajeng Subdistrict, Gowa Regencyare the people of the nation, full of potential which is expected to equip themselves to build their independencethrough various training activities related to the field of study of cultural arts which they have been studying forexample art studies. In the information and technology era, students are expected to take part and participate indeveloping the potential and talents that they have, in order to realize their independence and avoid full dependenceon others in the future. One form in filling students' lives while they are still in the learning process is practicing finearts skills in the form of training in making collage craft from natural waste raw materials in the form of eggshellsthat are processed in such a way as to become a form of art. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge inpsychomotor (skills) aspects of expression and creative creation freely through a number of media such as eggshells,glue, pottery, clear (varnish), and brushes. The method used in this training activity is the lecture method, questionand answer, demonstration (practice and exhibition), while the presentation is sorted according to the schedule andallocation of time provided. This activity lasts for three working days, starting on Wednesday, September 6-8 2018in one of the classrooms. To find out and measure the extent of the participants' ability to process and compilevarious media provided, the instructor evaluates in practical activities. The results of the activity showed that theparticipants were able to express and be creative in creating interesting motifs according to each section with anaverage quality of 60-80, the minimum completeness value of the entire work produced.

Abstract

The Partners of the Community Partnership Program (PKM) are seaweed farmer groups, namely the partner group (1) Malelaya, its leader Sampara, and the partner group (2) Bina Mandiri, chaired by Daeng Nyau, who has a desire to develop a seaweed processing business in the lawi lawi becomes a new product, so it can be an alternative business. The problem of partners is not having the knowledge and skills in seaweed processing that can be marketed in the form of fast food. Another problem is that the type of seaweed jens lawi-selling is very low and easily damaged, so that it requires another alternative to be used as additional income in the family in particular. The implementation methods are: lectures, demonstrations, discussions, questions and answers, and assistance. The results achieved are (1) Partners have knowledge in seaweed processing. (2) The partner has knowledge and skills in processing pestle pestle pestle. (3) Partners have skills in making seaweed meatballs. (4) Mitra has various types of seaweed meatballs entrepreneurial spirit.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to improve the competence of science teachers in implementing problem solving strategies. This activity is carried out according to the standard of the learning process which states that learning can be carried out by scientific methods, inquiry, problem-based learning and project-based learning in all subjects. The learning process has been carried out by teachers in Takalar Regency but it still needs to be improved in its implementation. The teachers who are targeted in this service are science teachers in Takalar Regency who are members of the MGMP IPA forum. One of the routine activities that are always carried out by the MGMP is training to improve professional competence and pedagogical competence. The form of this service activity is the delivery of subject matter with lecture methods and questions and answers then carried out the process of preparing the problem solving learning then carried out the process of preparing the problem solving learning package. The product of this activity is the packaging of problem-solving learning tools that will be implemented in the classroom.

Abstract

Silk development in Wajo Regency is relatively strategic since it involves farmers, opens businessopportunities, gives an opportunity for populist economic development, and increases farmer’s income and foreignexchange. Wajo Regency is known as silk producer city in South Sulawesi. Silk weaving activity has been the dailyactivity of Sengkang Bugis people since their ancestors. The research purposes were (1) to what extent is thecharacteristic of silk craftsmen in silk craft development conducted in Tanasitolo Sub-district Wajo Regency; and(2) how is silk product development in Tanasitolo Sub-district Wajo Regency. The research was conducted atPakkana Village Tanasitolo Sub-district Wajo Regency with consideration that the area is one of centers for silkproduct business development in Wajo Regency. Samples taken were 30 people using purposive sampling. Theresearch results indicate that the characteristics of silk craftsmen in Tanah Sitolo area of Wajo Regency were: 1)Respondents in Pakkanna Village were all female; (2) the highest respondent age (80%) was between 26-50 yearsold; 13.33% were under 25 years old and 6.67% were above 50 years old; (3) respondent’s family dependents weremostly 5-6 people, which was 36.67 percent; (4) based on experience, most respondents has the longest experiencesof 20-25 years, which was 13 percent; and (5) most respondents (50%) had average level of education of junior highschool (SMP). Silk craft development had been long conducted but it was in the level of design motive renewalpacked with modern motive according to merchants’ order level and consumers’ direct order. The development hasbeen a creative economic-based development.
