Abstract

The focus of this research is student learning achievement which is caused by the level of family welfare. The aims of this research are 1) To find out whether there is an influence of the level of family welfare on student learning achievement in sociology subjects at SMAN 19 Tangerang Regency, 2) To find out how much influence the level of family welfare has on student learning achievement in sociology subjects at SMAN 19 Tangerang Regency.  Data collection techniques use questionnaries, interviews and documentation. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique, in this study the samples chosen were 2 (two) classes, namely XI IPS 3 and XI IPS 4 for the 2022/2023 academic years. The results of research showed that 1) Based on linear regression analysis show that the regression equation is Ŷ = 90,671 – 0,027X, so that an r2 value of 0,005 or 0,5% is obtained. This shows that there is a negative and insignificant influence on the level of family welfare on student learning achievement in sociology subjects at SMAN 19 Kabupaten Regency it was 0,5%. 2) Based on the analysis of the stages of a prosperous family according to the BKKBN the respondents is in the prosperous family category 3, 3) Based on the analysis of learning achievement the respondents is in the high achievement category, In the end, analysis of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory, students go to school to feel secure about their future and students go to school to get good achievements so as to improve their social status.

Abstract

This study aims to find out more about the phenomenon of sugar baby relationships, especially in terms of material exchange and financial support provided by sugar daddy. The research method used was observation and in-depth interviews using a qualitative perspective and involving seven informants. The results of this study found that there are four types of sugar babies based on their motivations, namely traditional sugar baby, pragmatic sugar baby, mentorship sugar baby and escort or transactional sugar baby. In becoming a sugar baby, there are several aspects that change not only in terms of economic, social but also individual behavioral attitudes

Abstract

Social Emotional Learning is a method that helps students develop their knowledge, attitudes and skills in managing emotions, building healthy relationships, setting goals and making decisions in their lives. The author tried to conduct this research with the aim of finding out the effectiveness of social emotional learning methods in improving student learning outcomes. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research with research subjects of 34 students in class XII IPS 1. The data collection methods used are observation and questionnaires. Qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques. The research was carried out for two weeks. The results of this research show that there has been an increase in student learning outcomes, where at the first meeting it was seen that students lacked focus when participating in learning activities, there were still many students who were unable to complete the tasks given, but after social emotional learning was carried out at the beginning before learning, it was seen that students can concentrate before learning begins. From the application of the social emotional learning method, it can be concluded that through social emotional learning carried out before the learning process or during the learning process, students' motivation and learning outcomes experience changes and improvements for the better

Abstract

Abstrak The implementation of differentiated learning in sociology learning in the implementation of an independent curriculum at SMA Negeri 2 Pandeglang found several problems. Among them: students feel bored; lack of cooperation between students in each group; only a few students are active; and lack of interactive. The research aims to get an overview of the teacher’s strategy to streamline sociology learning activities in the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMA Negeri 2 Pandeglang. The research used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Pandeglang, Pandeglang Regency. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing or verification. The results showed that the teacher's strategy to streamline sociology learning activities in implementation the independent curriculum at SMA Negeri 2 Pandeglang was through differentiated learning. Differentiated learning is inseparable from several stages: the learning planning stage includes the implementation of diagnostic assessments, preparation of teaching modules, preparation of learning media and preparation of teaching materials. The learning implementation stage includes opening activities, core activities and closing activities. Various ways: appreciation and apperception, ice breaking, personal approach, varied learning methods and the use of mapping class techniques. Supporting factors: students motivation to learn, supportive learning media and teacher enthusiasm. Inhibiting factors: limited time, not all students actively participate and differences in students' abilitiy to understand learning.

Abstract

The village boundary dispute that occurred between Pakan Dalam Village and Paramaian Village in North Daha Subdistrict, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency was triggered by the issuance of the Cultivation Rights Title of oil palm plantations that provided compensation to the affected areas. The purpose of this study is to determine the process of resolving land boundary disputes between Pakan Dalam Village and Paramaian Village in North Daha Subdistrict, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency in 2009-2021.The method used in this research is the historical method. In the historical method there are four stages, namely heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. Sources in the research were obtained through interviews with government, leaders, villagers, documents, books, and other related sources. The sources were verified, then data interpretation was carried out. After that, writing is done about the research studied and linking it to the theory used.The results showed that the dispute settlement started from the process of sending a letter from the Pakan Dalam Village Government to BPS HSS in 2009-2010 to the stage of asking for assistance to the HSS DPRD to be resolved fairly. In conclusion, the resolution of the village boundary dispute used a persuasive approach by the Daha Utara sub-district head. This method uses a settlement technique that is not adversarial and follows a conciliation approach to resolve the dispute.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the social meaning of Hajj and the community in Pattiro. Research focusing on Pattiro Village was carried out using a qualitative approach. The data collection process through in-depth interviews and analyzed by four stages of data collection, data reduction, data assessment and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the social meaning of the Hajj in the Pattiro comes from the community's perception of the heavy Hajj procession, so that everyone who goes through it has a high spiritual experience. The social status of Hajj indicated by the  reward in various social activities. Another form of appreciation is giving the title of nobility (Karaeng or Daeng) by the leadership qualities or are a role model for society.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the efforts of the Serang City Social Service in dealing with the presence of neglected people with mental disorders (ODGJ). The existence of abandoned people with mental disorders (ODGJ) in Serang City is caused by families not being able to care for and treat them at home, families let them wander outside the house which ultimately causes people with mental disorders (ODGJ) to become abandoned, and families lock up their family members who Having a mental disorder also makes his condition worse. There is a need for an institution to handle the existence of abandoned people with mental disorders (ODGJ), namely the Serang City Social Service which has the authority to deal with the existence of abandoned people with mental disorders (ODGJ) through the ATENSI program. Giddens in structuration theory, there are agents and structures that give rise to social practices in the form of daily routines for people with mental disorders (ODGJ) who are abandoned while in halfway houses. Meanwhile, according to Scott, there are pillars on which an institution is built, namely the regulative, normative and cultural-cognitive pillars. In this research, it was found that these three pillars went hand in hand, resulting in the establishment of an institution for the Serang City Social Service that could create stability in life in society.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the social practice of catcalling in Cikeusal District. Catcalling according to Chhun (2011) identifies catcalling as the use of indecent words, verbal expressions and also non-verbal expressions which occur in public places, for example on roads, on sidewalks and bus stops. Verbally, catcalling in usually done through whistling or comments about a womens appearance. Non-verbal expressions also include glances of physical gestures that act to provide an assessment of a woman’s appearance. The method in this research uses a qualitative research method with a descrptive approach, meaning that the research results are formulated after all the data has been analyzed. In simple terms, it can stated that qualitative research is examining informants as research subjects in their daily living environment. The results of this research in clude the social practice of catcalling in cikeusal village, the meaning of catcalling in society.

Abstract

Social change is a reality that cannot be avoided by a society, including urban communities. Many factors drive social change, one of which is housing development. Housing development not only has an impact on the narrowing of urban land, but also brings socio-economic changes to the surrounding community. Because, housing development indirectly allows immigrant communities to bring values acculturated with the local community which has implications for changes in social structure. The purpose of this study was to examine how the socio-economic changes in the community after housing construction in the Bontoala Village, Pallangga District, Gowa Regency. This research uses a type of qualitative research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Collecting data through observation (observation) and interviews. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation, data interpretation, and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the socio-economic changes in the community after housing construction in the Bontoala Village, Surabaya City, namely; First, a change in mindset, that is, what was originally irrational became a rational society. Second, changes in the behavior or lifestyle of the Bontoala people who tend to have a consumptive lifestyle. Third, changes in the livelihoods of the Bontoala people, which were originally in the agricultural sector, shifted to trade, industry and services. Fourth, changes in the function of the house, after housing construction, the function of the house is not only as a place to live, but also as an economic activity.

Abstract

This scientific article discusses the roles and strategies that can be used by teachers in dealing with bullying at SMA Negeri 2 Polewali. Bullying among students has a serious impact on academic performance, emotional well-being, and the learning environment in schools. This research aims to document concrete strategies that can be implemented by teachers as an effort to overcome bullying.This research method involved collecting data through surveys, interviews and observations of teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Polewali. Data analysis revealed that teachers play a crucial role in identifying, preventing, and addressing bullying. This article discusses specific strategies that can be implemented by teachers, including implementing pedagogical approaches that promote inclusivity, active involvement in monitoring student activities, and implementing empathy and social skills development programs.
