Abstract

ABSTRACT Compost production by partners in Gondangrawe Village, Boyolali, is still conventional with a capacity of 100 kg/month, low quality, and inconsistent. The objective of this community service project is to design and implement a vibration system granulator machine to process organic waste, in order to improve production efficiency, quality, and the economic value of compost. The implementation method includes engineering design validated through Finite Element Analysis (FEA), manufacturing, as well as intensive training and assistance to KTTSR related to operations and packaging. The results of this community service project are the implementation of a granulator machine unit that has been proven to be safe (Safety Factor 15.00) and economically feasible. The application of this technology has successfully increased production capacity to 160 kg/month (8 hours of operation) and produced more uniform compost granules, thereby facilitating measurement and increasing sales value. Abstract

ABSTRACT The fishing industry plays an important role in national food security and community economic improvement. Ciamis Regency, through Kampung Nila in Kawali District, has been designated as a center for tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) farming. This commodity was chosen because of its rapid growth, affordable price, and stable market demand. However, farmers face high production costs due to their dependence on commercial feed, which reduces their profits. This community service program aims to increase farmers' independence through innovation in self-sufficient feed based on local  materials. The method used is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) with stages of socialization, training,   Keywords: Nila Village, Management, Feed Milling Machines, Empowerment, Appropriate Technology.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The use of social media is still spontaneous, undirected, and has not been supported by an effective content management strategy. The main challenges faced include a lack of understanding of algorithmic platforms, inconsistencies in content creation, as well as a lack of engaging content editing capabilities. The purpose of this Community Service (PKM) activity is to improve digital literacy and social media skills to build personal and business branding for the Indonesian diaspora living in Tsukuba Prefecture, Japan. One of the obstacles faced by the Indonesian community in Japan is the low awareness of the use of social media, which is only used to share personal life stories, and the lack of technical skills to create interesting and engaging digital content. The solution approach implemented was to provide education and direct mentoring on social media utilization strategies and video content creation techniques that leave a positive impression on the audience. The results of this activity showed a 40.2% increase in awareness of the importance of building personal and business branding and a 55.3% increase in video editing skills after the educational activity was implemented. The conclusion of this PKM activity is that education on social media utilization strategies and mentoring in editing digital video content have been proven to provide positive improvements for Indonesian diaspora in Japan. Abstract

ABSTRACT Improving farm business management capacity is an important effort to support the sustainability of farming activities and farmer welfare. This community service program aimed to improve the business management capacity of the Ngesti Utomo Farmer Group in Wonogiri Regency through farm business management training. The partner farmer group faced major problems related to weak managerial practices in farm business management, particularly in business planning, business legality, cost of production determination, and marketing. The activity involved 25 members of the farmer group. The implementation method used a group capacity building training approach through interactive lectures and participatory discussions. The training materials covered business motivation, business legality, cost of production determination, business initiation and planning, as well as marketing. Program evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test methods to measure changes in participants’ understanding before and after the training. The results showed an increase in scores across all training aspects, indicating improved managerial capacity among participants. The training also encouraged changes in participants’ perspectives toward viewing farming as an economic activity that should be managed in a more planned and sustainable manner. Follow-up activities are directed toward assisting the implementation of farm business management practices to support the sustainability of the farmer group’s business. Abstract

ABSTRACT The primary and secondary education curriculum in Indonesia changes almost every year. These changes lead to administrative adjustments in teaching and learning documents. Consequently, teachers tend to spend less time focusing on delivering instructional content and ensuring meaningful student learning, and instead devote substantial effort to reformatting lesson plans (RPP), student activity reports (LKPD), and other administrative documents. In many cases, these documents remain largely unchanged from year to year, with minimal innovation. To address this issue, a more efficient approach is required to enable teachers to innovate in designing instructional materials, lesson plans, student worksheets, and assessment instruments. The aim of this community engagement initiative is to enhance pedagogical and digital literacy in the use of generative AI to assist teachers in drafting learning objectives, structuring classroom activities, generating guiding questions, developing variations in instructional strategies, and producing effective teaching materials tailored to students’ needs. This activity was implemented using the ADDIE framework (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results indicate that participants demonstrated a strong understanding of the material and an improvement in their cognitive knowledge. Specifically, 41.67% of participants reported that the material was easy to understand, while 58.33% stated that it was very easy to understand. Furthermore, 75% of participants indicated that the facilitator delivered the material very well, and 25% rated the delivery as good. A recommendation for future initiatives is the need for ongoing support through a post-training mentoring programme to ensure an understanding of the ethical use of generative AI. Abstract

ABSTRACT This community service activity is aimed at Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Meranjat 3 Village, Ogan Ilir Regency. The program involves students participating in the Community Service Program (KKN), supervised by field supervisors (DPL) and lecturers from the Faculty of Economics and Business, to address existing challenges. The main problems identified include the low level of business legality, with more than 90% of MSMEs still operating as informal micro-enterprises without legal status. In addition, many MSME actors still rely on conventional business practices, despite the ongoing push toward digital entrepreneurship transformation. Furthermore, less than 10% of MSMEs have established partnerships with larger companies, often due to limited access to information. Based on these issues, the program focuses on strengthening MSMEs through business management and accounting. The activity is conducted in the form of workshops aimed at enhancing the knowledge and understanding of MSME actors regarding the identified challenges.   Keywords: Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Business Management, HPP

Abstract

The increasing elderly population in Klaten Regency, reaching 17-18%, brings challenges in the form of an increased risk of cognitive decline and dementia. Posyandu (Integrated Health Post) Dahlia Mandiri in Tegal Malohan faces limitations in cognitive stimulation services due to a lack of media and the human resources capacity of its cadres. This community service activity aims to implement rollmate technology as a non-pharmacological intervention to improve the cognitive function of the elderly through the empowerment of Posyandu cadres. Training was conducted for six cadres using lecture and hands-on methods. The intervention was then applied to 55 elderly people over two cycles to measure the effectiveness of the tool's use on cognitive speed and scores. The cadre training showed a significant increase in knowledge, with an average pre-test score of 30.89 to 86.83 in the post-test. In the elderly group, the application of rollmate successfully increased the speed and duration of use by 1.5 minutes and increased scores by 100%. Qualitatively, elderly people reported feeling more "fresh" mentally and showed increased focus and stabilization of cognitive scores. The use of rollmate is effective as a means of stimulating eye-hand coordination and a recreational psychology for the elderly. Integrating this tool into routine posyandu activities is crucial for the sustainability of the intervention, with family support being a key factor in independent use at home.
