Abstract

This study collates the current state of knowledge regarding the sense of humor attitude in the social interactions among children with special needs, which aims to explore the current state of knowledge and quality of empirical evidence relating to humor among children with special needs. In the study there were involved 78 students of Emerald School of Cinere in South Jakarta. There were more over 20% students in normal condition and students with special needs were 80%. Research had assessed humor in the classroom and humor expression in different groups including those with autism, down syndrome, and other special needs. This study was designed by using the descriptive qualitative method to analyze, describe, and explain the data. The procedure of data collection was done by observation and filled the questionnaire of the Richmond Humor Assessment Instrument (RHAI). The result of the study showed that there were 47, 08% of favorable criteria, and 52, 92% of unfavorable ones. Based on gender, more boys answered favorable criteria compared to girls. Moreover, boys were dare to express their senses of humor than the girls. The girls showed their shynesses to express their sense of humor. The results of the study showed that the children with special needs in Emerald school had less sense of humor. Furthermore, the role of humor in communication development, social facilitation, creativity, and stigma had all received some limited attention among children with special needs in Emerald School, South Jakarta.

Abstract

Opinion Proof is a learning strategy that is used to overcome the problem of reading in English. Opinion Proof strategy can be used to help facilitate students' reading comprehension in English. The objective of the research is to determine whether or not Opinion Proof Strategy can improve reading ability of second semester of IKIP PGRI Madiun. This research is a classroom action research. There are several steps in each cycle. They are planning, action, observation and reflection. The techniques of collecting the data are test, observation, interview, and documentation. Meanwhile, the thecniques of analyzing the data are descriptive statistics, reducing, displaying and conclsion.  With Proof Opinion strategy, students are more creative, students can develop the imagination, the students easily understand the content of the reading of the text, motivate the students to read, and students do not feel bored.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the ability to understand mathematical concepts based on gender after participating in Realistic Mathematics Education learning with the props, "Papan Pecahan dan Sudut" (PANDU). This research method was qualitative with quantitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were fourth-grade elementary school students in Singkawang city. Data collection instruments were the researcher and the documentation of the results of the students' mathematical concept understanding ability tests. Data analysis techniques were scoring, assessment, categorization, description, and conclusion. The results showed; 1) the ability of male students to understand mathematical concepts after participating in RME learning with PANDU teaching aids had an average score of 80.35, which was in the high category; and 2) the ability of female students to understand mathematical concepts after participating in RME learning with PANDU teaching aids had an average of 78.52, which was in the high category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is no difference in the ability to understand mathematical concepts between male students and female students after participating in RME learning assisted with PANDU teaching aids.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of academic supervision in an effort to improve the competence of classroom teachers in learning in the classroom. This research was conducted in three cycles; each cycle activity consisted of stages namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The indicators of success in this study are; 1) school principal observation result and teacher observation during mentoring process has got average score> 4.0, 2) the final result> 85% of the number of mentoring participants get average score> 80.00 (good category). The result of the research in cycle I the principal observation average score (2.80), teacher observation average score (3.00) and academic grade teacher supervision average score (61.35). In cycle II the result of principal observation average score in the target (3.50), teacher observation average score (4.00) and academic supervision result average score (78.73). In cycle III the principal observation average score (4.50), teacher observation average score (4.50) and academic supervision results average score in the target (86.25). The success indicator has been reached, the research is stated successful and stopped in cycle III.The result of research on the 3rd cycle shows improvement on teacher's competence in the learning process in the real class. It is recommended that other principals conduct similar research in an effort to increase the competence of class teachers in well-planned scenario andresponsibility, for improving learners’ learning achievement in accordance with the field of study / the lesson to whichthe teacher is responsible for.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between self-understanding and self-confidence at the eight grade students of SMPN 7 Woja at Dompu District in academic year 2017/2018. Datacollection technique used questionnaires as the main method and observation, documentation, and interviews as complementary methods. Data analysis technique used product moment correlation statistical analysis. The results of data analysis obtained 0.949. This indicateed that the calculated value was greater than r-table at the 5% significance level with the number N = 57 students, or (r count 0.949> r table 0.266). Based on these results, the null hypothesis was rejected (Ho) and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a correlation between self-understanding and self-confidence at the eight grade students of SMPN 7 Woja at Dompu District in academic year 2017/2018. Abstrak: Pemahaman diri merupakan gambaran yang dimiliki diri individu tentang dirinya yang dibentukmelalui pengalaman-pengalaman yang diperoleh dari interaksi, dengan lingkungan, sedangkan Percaya diriadalah salah satu aspek kepribadian yang penting pada seseorang. Tanpa adanya kepercayaan diri akan banyak menimbulkan masalah pada diri seseorang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pemahaman diri dengan sikap percaya diri pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 7 Woja Kabupaten Dompu Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam angket sebagai metode pokok dan observasi, dokumentasi, serta wawancara sebagai metode pelengkap dan analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik korelasi product moment. Hasil analisis data diperoleh 0,949. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai r hitung lebih besar dari r tabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% dengan jumlah N = 57orang, atau (r hitung 0,949 > r tabel 0,266). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka hipotesi nihil ditolak (H 0 ) dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Kesimpulan bahwa “Ada hubungan pemahaman diri dengan sikap percaya diri pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 7 Woja Kabupaten Dompu tahun pelajaran 2017/2018.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of online learning with a SWOT matrix analysis for DiplomaIII midwifery students during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Polytechnicof Health Kartini Bali. The method in this research is qualitative, with analysis using the SWOT matrix approach to formulate strategies to improve the quality of online learning for students. The research subjects were 15 representatives of Level I, II and III students. Collecting data using a questionnaire with a closed list of questions containing internal and external variables that affect learning. The results showed that from the results of the SWOT analysis, four alternative strategies were formulated, namely the Strategy Strength-Opportunities (SO), Weaknesses-Opportunities (WO), Strength-Threats (ST), and Weaknesses-Threat (WT) which included quality improvement in terms of methods. learning (providing modules, elerning and video tutoral), infrastructure (internet quota), human resources (participant motivation) and related stakeholder commitment. So it can be concluded that SWOT analysis on online learning can be used as input in improving the quality of learning for organizers, students and institutions in supporting the success of online learning during the Covid-19 period at the Polytechnicof Health Kartini Bali.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the process and results of the development of material-based solutions to improve the mathematical problem-solving skills of elementary school teacher Education Program, Citra Bangsa University. This research is development research with the model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subject in this study was 2 expert validators and a limited trial subject of second-semester students, elementary school teacher Education, Citra Bangsa University. The study was conducted in the odd semester of 2018/2019. The instrument used is a validity test questionnaire and practicality test. The data analysis techniques used are quantitative and quantifiable descriptive analyses. The results of the development of this resolution-based teaching book are the results of the percentage of basic mathematics teaching book 84% including valid categories, the results of the percentage of test book design validation of 92.5% including a very valid category. Practicality test results showed 88.56% inclusive of very practical category and reliability test result of 0.725 including reliability category.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the effect of google classroom based Learning Management System (LMS) and interest in learning on student learning outcomes. The type of this research is quantitative research with descriptive statistical methods. Research subjects were senior high school 3 Sidoarjo 10 social class , totaling 75 respondents. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire used to measure the variable google classroom (X1) and interest in learning (X2). On the learning outcomes (Y) variable measured by the odd semester grade senior high school 3 Sidoarjo 10 social class. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that1)  There is an effect of Learning Management System based of google classroom on students economic learning outcomes 2) There is an influence of interest in learning on student learning outcomes and 3) There is the influence of Learning Management System based google classroom and interest in learning on student learning outcomes. The conclusion of this study is that The Learning Management System based on Google Classroom simultaneously affect learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the effectiveness of implementing Guide Reading Model Approach based PAIKEM in effort to improve students learning activities at class II.A of SD Negeri Model Mataram. Significant of this study was it could be analyzed and invention sources in implementing learning process at real class. For teachers it could improve competence in learning process and for students could improve learning motivation which has effect in improving students learning achievement. This research conducted in two cycles, activities in every cycle were planning, acting, observing, reflecting. The result in cycle II showed that result of teachers’ observation got mean score (4,64) and students’ observation got mean score (4,32). Then result of improving students’ learning activities improved with mean score was (81,00), means indicator of completeness (> 70,00) was reached. Because indicator of completeness had been proved success so this study was stopped in cycle II.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to recognize the application of flipbooks maker integrated Edmodo in the course of microbiology in empowering the student metacognitve ability in the covid-19 pandemy. The research method used Classroom Action Research. The subjects of the study were biology students of IKIP Budi Utomo at class B 2017. Instrument of the research consisted of semester learning plan of microbiology, test with Cognitive 5 category; rubric of metacognitive ability; and questionnaire of learning feedback. Data collection techniques used observation sheet and a special metakognitive ability test integrated with essay test with a score range of 1-7. The data analysis technique used qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of research showed that in cycle I the highest score reached level 6 of 21.5%, while in cycle II the highest score reached level 7 amounted to 39.8%. Meanwhile, the average score increased in cycle I, i.e. the ability of students’ metacognitive was 65,5 and cycle II amounted to 83.6. Thus, it can be concluded that the Flipbooks maker integrated Edmodo can empower the students metacognitive ability in the microbiology learning in the Covid-19 pandemic.
