Abstract

This study examines the effect of service quality on small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) performance, with innovation capability serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative research design was employed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The study involved owners and managers of SMEs operating in the processed food sector based on agricultural commodities. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analysed using SmartPLS version 4. The results demonstrate that service quality has a significant positive effect on SME performance and acts as a key driver of innovation capability. Furthermore, innovation capability significantly mediates the relationship between service quality and performance, indicating that SMEs are able to convert superior service quality into improved performance outcomes through enhanced innovation. These findings highlight the strategic role of innovation capability in strengthening the impact of service quality on business performance. This study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence from agribusiness-based SMEs and emphasizing innovation as a critical factor for achieving sustainable competitiveness at both local and global levels. The findings offer important managerial implications for SME practitioners and policymakers in designing strategies that integrate service excellence with innovation development.

Abstract

This study analyzes a human-centered approach in realizing energy justice as a path to inclusive and sustainable economic growth. The background of this study departs from the global energy access gap, where more than 733 million people are still not connected to electricity and 2.4 billion depend on traditional biomass, thus causing social, economic, and environmental problems. Through systematic literature review and thematic analysis of 45 relevant studies published between 2020–2025, this study identifies three main dimensions of distributive, procedural, and recognition energy justice that are interrelated and must be integrated in implementation. The results of the study show that strategies such as community empowerment, participatory planning, adaptive governance, and financing innovation have been proven to be able to strengthen energy justice while encouraging local economic growth through energy cost savings, job creation, productive capacity building, social infrastructure development, and the birth of innovation and entrepreneurship. However, there are structural obstacles in the form of biased regulations in the centralized system, limited capacity, and political and economic resistance that hinder the scale of implementation. These findings confirm that human-centered approaches are not only normative, but also strategic to ensure the energy transition contributes to sustainable development goals. This research provides recommendations for policymakers and practitioners to prioritize social inclusion, community empowerment, and adaptive governance in global energy transition strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of green economy implementation on the financial performance and sustainability of MSME business models in Indonesia. Employing a quantitative approach and Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis, this research examines MSMEs that have adopted environmentally sustainable practices through green innovation, green accounting, and green human resource management. The findings indicate that implementing the green economy has a positive, statistically significant effect on financial performance, with financial performance serving as a partial mediator, reinforcing the relationship between green practices and the sustainability of business models. These results substantiate the notion that successful green transformation not only engenders environmental legitimacy but also enhances financial resilience, which serves as the foundation for MSMEs' long-term competitiveness. Practically, this research offers implications for policymakers to strengthen the green regulatory and financing ecosystem, for MSME stakeholders to incorporate innovation alongside financial literacy and digitalization, and for financial institutions to develop inclusive, environment-based funding instruments.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of madhhab and theology in Egypt as documented in al-Maqrizi’s Madhāhib Ahl Miṣr wa ‘Aqā’idihim and analyzes its relevance as an epistemological foundation for the renewal of contemporary Islamic education. Employing a qualitative approach with historical methods and historical hermeneutics, the research analyzes classical texts alongside contemporary academic literature and Islamic education policy documents. The findings reveal three interrelated patterns: the dynamic transformation of legal schools and theology shaped by political power and educational institutions; the strong connection between socio-political change, scholarly mobility, and educational orientation; and the epistemological continuity between classical theological rationality—particularly Ash‘arism—and modern Islamic educational reform. These patterns demonstrate that Islamic education in Egypt has historically developed through adaptive mechanisms rooted in internal intellectual traditions rather than through abrupt or externally imposed change. The study concludes that al-Maqrizi’s work should be understood not merely as a historical record but as a living epistemological resource that informs contemporary debates on Islamic education reform. By emphasizing historical continuity between classical scholarship and modern institutional change, this research contributes to a more historically grounded and integrative understanding of Islamic education, with implications for both Egyptian and Indonesian contexts.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of visual media–based Pancasila character education in strengthening nationalism, patriotism, and human rights awareness among elementary school students in the Society 5.0 era. Employing a qualitative case study design, the research was conducted at SDN Jurumudi 4, Tangerang City, involving Grade IV and V teachers, students, and the school principal as participants. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation of learning activities using images of national symbols and Pancasila values. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing with triangulation to ensure credibility. The findings reveal that visual media significantly enhance students’ understanding of abstract Pancasila values, increase learning engagement, and foster affective attachment to national identity. Image-based instruction not only supports cognitive comprehension but also cultivates empathy, discipline, and moral reflection related to human rights principles. Students demonstrated greater pride in national symbols, improved participation, and positive behavioral changes after the implementation of visual-based learning. The study concludes that integrating visual media into Pancasila character education is a strategic approach to nurturing nationalism and patriotism in elementary education. It provides a contextual learning model that bridges technological advancement with Indonesia’s foundational civic values in response to the challenges of the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

High-quality healthcare services are essential to ensure patient satisfaction and sustainable hospital performance. This study aims to analyze patient service quality at the Dental Clinic of Bhayangkara Lemdiklat Police Hospital using the Institute of Medicine (IOM) framework, which includes six dimensions: safety, effectiveness, patient-centeredness, timeliness, efficiency, and equity. A quantitative descriptive design with a survey approach was employed. A total of 94 patients were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire measuring patients’ expectations and perceived performance. The instrument was tested for validity and reliability, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired sample t-tests, regression analysis, and Importance–Performance Analysis (IPA). The results indicate that overall service quality is perceived as good, particularly in effectiveness, safety, and patient-centered care, which obtained the highest mean scores. However, gaps remain in equity, timeliness, and efficiency. Equity showed the lowest mean value and the highest variability, suggesting that patients still perceive unequal treatment and service procedures. Paired sample correlations revealed strong and significant relationships among the IOM dimensions, implying that improvements in one aspect may positively influence others. Regression and ANOVA results indicate that service quality does not significantly differentiate patient types (general and BPJS). The IPA analysis places effectiveness, safety, and patient-centeredness in the “maintain performance” quadrant, while timeliness, efficiency, and equity require strategic improvement. These findings highlight the importance of continuous quality enhancement, particularly in ensuring fair, timely, and efficient dental services

Abstract

This study examines the position and authority of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia (Mahkamah Konstitusi) within the national electoral justice system and its institutional relationship with other electoral law enforcement bodies in realizing substantive electoral justice. Elections function as a core mechanism of constitutional democracy, requiring not only procedural legality but also effective judicial protection to ensure legitimacy and public trust. Using a normative legal research method, this study analyzes the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Election Law, the Constitutional Court Law, and other relevant statutory regulations through a statutory and conceptual approach. The findings show that the Constitutional Court holds strong constitutional legitimacy as the final and binding adjudicator of election result disputes. Its role has developed beyond merely correcting vote tabulations to assessing qualitative violations, particularly those that are structured, systematic, and massive, which affect the integrity of the electoral process. Furthermore, Indonesia's electoral justice system is implemented through an integrated framework involving the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), the Honorary Council of Election Organizers (DKPP), the Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Sentra Gakkumdu), and the Constitutional Court. Each institution exercises distinct yet interrelated authority across administrative, ethical, criminal, and constitutional domains. This study concludes that the effectiveness of electoral justice in Indonesia depends not only on the Constitutional Court's final decisions but also on institutional synergy among electoral law enforcement bodies. Strengthening coordination and normative integration is essential to ensure that electoral justice is realized substantively, democratically, and constitutionally.
