Abstract

Nurse performance is a critical determinant of healthcare service quality, particularly in inpatient settings where nurses provide continuous and direct patient care. Challenges in service quality and patient complaints indicate the need to examine organizational factors that influence nurse performance. This study aimed to analyze the effects of employee engagement, talent management, and job satisfaction on the performance of inpatient nurses at DKH Kedungwaringin Hospital in 2025. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed involving all 50 inpatient nurses, using total sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple logistic regression with SPSS version 24.0. The results revealed that employee engagement significantly influenced nurse performance (p = 0.006; OR = 7.495), indicating that highly engaged nurses were 7.495 times more likely to demonstrate good performance. Talent management also showed a significant effect (p = 0.021; OR = 5.313), as did job satisfaction (p = 0.045; OR = 4.018). The Nagelkerke R Square value of 0.522 suggests that 52.2% of the variance in nurse performance was explained by the three predictors. Among them, employee engagement emerged as the strongest determinant. Strengthening these factors is essential for improving nurse performance and healthcare service quality.

Abstract

In the current digital business environment, organisations use Business Information Systems (BIS) to support managerial and strategic decision-making. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of decisions is not only dependent on the presence of technological systems but also on the accuracy of data, the level of system integration, and the competency of users who operate these systems. The study seeks to analyze the impact of Business Information Systems, data accuracy, system integration, and user competency on decision-making effectiveness. A quantitative explanatory research design was adopted for the study using a survey approach. The data was collected from 120 respondents who actively use Business Information Systems in their organizations. The research instrument was validated for validity and reliability, and the data were analysed using multiple regression to determine the partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on decision-making effectiveness. The findings show that Business Information Systems, data accuracy, system integration, and user competency are significantly and positively related to decision-making effectiveness. At the same time, the four variables have a significant impact on decision-making effectiveness, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.611, which means that the model explains 61.100% of the variation in decision-making effectiveness. Among the four independent variables, the most influential factor in decision-making effectiveness is user competency. The findings of this study suggest that, for effective decision-making, organisations need not only accurate and integrated information systems but also accurate data and competent users who can interpret and effectively use the outputs of those systems.

Abstract

Freedom of expression constitutes a constitutionally protected right under the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. Nevertheless, its implementation continues to encounter significant challenges, particularly due to the existence of vague criminal provisions that generate legal uncertainty and create the risk of criminalizing legitimate expressions. This issue became central to the judicial review of Articles 14 and 15 of Law Number 1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations, culminating in Constitutional Court Decision Number 78/PUU-XXI/2023. This study aims to examine the Constitutional Court’s legal reasoning and to analyze the juridical implications of the decision for the protection of freedom of expression in Indonesia. Employing normative legal research, this study applies statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. The analysis is conducted qualitatively on primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The findings indicate that the Court emphasized that any restriction on freedom of expression must meet the requirements of clarity, precision, and proportionality. The Court held that ambiguous criminal norms violate the principles of legal certainty (lex certa) and constitutional protection of rights. Consequently, the Court declared the contested provisions unconstitutional and legally non-binding. The decision establishes a constitutional benchmark for assessing other restrictive criminal norms, including those contained in the new Criminal Code and the amended Electronic Information and Transactions (EIT) Law. Thus, the ruling reinforces constitutional safeguards for freedom of expression and provides normative guidance for legislators and law enforcement authorities in formulating and implementing criminal law policies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how organizational culture influences employee performance, with job satisfaction serving as a mediating variable among village and sub-district office employees on Ternate Island. It employed a quantitative approach, selecting 108 respondents through saturated sampling. Primary data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) technique. The results indicated that organizational culture positively and significantly impacts employee performance. Additionally, organizational culture also positively and significantly affects job satisfaction. Job satisfaction was shown to have a positive and significant influence on employee performance and to mediate the relationship between organizational culture and employee performance. These findings contribute to human resource management research in the public sector and highlight the importance of fostering a strong, supportive organizational culture to enhance job satisfaction and employee performance in local government settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Organizational Culture (X1) and Training and Human Resource Development (X2) on technicians’ Energy-Saving Behavior (Y), with Performance Evaluation (Z) acting as a mediating variable. The research adopts a quantitative approach using a Likert-scale questionnaire administered to 51 respondents from the Engineering Department at Plaza Blok M. The results indicate that Training and Human Resource Development (X2) has a positive and significant effect on Energy-Saving Behavior (Y) with statistical values (β = 0.495; t = 2.814; p < 0.05). Meanwhile, Organizational Culture (X1) does not have a direct significant effect on Energy-Saving Behavior (Y) (β = 0.109; p > 0.05). Furthermore, Performance Evaluation (Z) significantly influences Energy-Saving Behavior (Y) (β = 0.332; p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) shows that the independent variables explain 58.8% of the variance in Performance Evaluation (Z) and 68.2% of the variance in Energy-Saving Behavior (Y). The mediation test results reveal that Performance Evaluation (Z) does not mediate the relationship between Training and Human Resource Development (X2) and Energy-Saving Behavior (Y), as indicated by the insignificant mediation effect (p > 0.05). This study contributes to the development of knowledge by proposing an integrative model that links human resource management systems with employees’ energy-saving behavior in commercial building operations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of chat-based and telephone-based digital marketing on patient closing rates and repeat orders, and to examine the mediating role of closing rates in this relationship. The research employed a quantitative, survey-based approach with non-clinical healthcare workers serving as medical advisors in men's health clinics in Indonesia. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to identify both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The findings reveal that digital marketing via chat and phone significantly affects patient conversion rates and repeat orders. Furthermore, closing rate was found to mediate the relationship between chat and telephone communication and repeat order behavior. These results indicate that the effectiveness of digital marketing strategies in healthcare services is not solely determined by the utilization of digital technology but also by the quality of communication demonstrated by healthcare personnel. The study highlights the importance of structured and strategic digital communication in strengthening patient engagement and loyalty. The findings provide practical implications for healthcare service providers, particularly clinic management, in developing more effective digital marketing strategies that emphasize communication quality, patient trust, and relationship continuity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of TikTok video content (X1) and live streaming (X2) on patients’ consultation decisions (Y) at Klinik Lelaki Indonesia. The research employed a quantitative approach using purposive sampling, involving 154 respondents. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25, including validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, and multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that all research instruments were valid (r > 0.159; p < 0.05) and reliable (Cronbach’s Alpha values: X1 = 0.745; X2 = 0.821; Y = 0.682). Furthermore, the regression model satisfied classical assumption tests, including normality (p = 0.156), multicollinearity (VIF = 1.885), and autocorrelation (Durbin–Watson = 1.619). The partial regression analysis shows that video content (B = 0.273; p < 0.001) and live streaming (B = 0.267; p < 0.001) have positive and significant effects on consultation decisions. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence consultation decisions (F = 55.633; p < 0.001). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.424) indicates that 42.4% of the variance in patient consultation decisions is explained by the two independent variables, while the remaining 57.6% is accounted for by factors outside the model. These findings suggest that improving the quality and effectiveness of digital health content on social media platforms increases patients’ likelihood of seeking medical consultation.
