Community Services is an implementation activity of science, technology and cultural arts directly to the community institutionally through scientific methodology as a translation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education,as well as the responsibility of scientists in efforts to develop community capacity, so as to accelerate the pace of growth in achieving development goals. So that community services can be done affectively and efficiently, it is necessary to conduct research before and after its implementation. The Scope of Community Service includes the following fields of activity: The development of technological science and art into products that can be directly utilized by the community. Training services, economic empowerment of communities to become independent, and the development of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Dissemination of science, technology and cultural arts is a product that needs to be known and utilized by the community. This effort can be done through various ways such as providing counseling, providing pilots, demonstrating, and publishing media publications. Placement of science and technology correctly and appropriately according to the situation of the people and the demands of development. Providing assistance to the community in identifying problems faced and finding alternative solutions by using a scientific approach. Providing professional services to the community in various problem areas that require careful handling by using expertise and skills that are not yet owned by the community concerned.

Abstract

The design of information for managing incoming and outgoing mail archives is made to solve problems that occur in the Agency for Logistics Affairs (BULOG) Subdivre Bandung in terms of managing mail archives, namely manual mail archives management, causing data loss. This research was made based on a method approach in collecting the information data needed in order to make a description of the situation, event. While the system development method used is the RUP (Rational Unified Process) model with OOAD (Object Oriented Analysis and Design) where the development tool is in the form of UML (Unified Modeling Language). The purpose of the research and from the interviews that have been carried out, the solution to overcome the above problems is to create a website-based mail archive system that can be accessed anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

This study aims to increase public knowledge about the processing of guava leaves as herbal medicine to treat diarrhea. Prior to counseling and training, the results of the pretest showed that most of the participants (70.5%) had known the utilization and processing of guava leaves as herbal medicine. After attending the training, participants were given a post-test questionnaire to measure the increase in their knowledge.The results showed that there was a significant increase in the participants' knowledge after attending the training. The knowledge percentage increased from 70.5% to 89.0%, representing an increase of 18.5%. This training provides information on how to process guava leaves into herbal medicines that are effective in treating diarrhea.Some of the processing methods taught in the training include making guava leaf tea, guava leaf extract, and decoction of guava leaves. Participants were also given knowledge about the active ingredients in guava leaves, such as quercetin, which has an anti-diarrhea effect.This study showed that the counseling and training program was effective in increasing participants' knowledge about processing guava leaves as a herbal medicine to treat diarrhea. With the knowledge gained, it is hoped that the community can properly process guava leaves and use them effectively in maintaining health and treating diarrhea with simple medication. This program also empowers garden plants in the environment around the village as an easily accessible source of herbal medicines.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the active role of the Baitul Muttaqin sharia cooperative in improving the quality of member micro-enterprises and to find out the various types of active roles of the Baitul Muttaqin sharia cooperative in improving the quality of member micro-enterprises. The research method used is through a qualitative approach by collecting data through structured interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the study show that the active Baitul Muttaqin sharia cooperative has carried out its role as a sharia cooperative that is able to make the business and economic activities of its members better, while the type of active role that has been carried out by the active Baitul Muttaqin sharia cooperative in improving the quality of micro-enterprises for its members is only in aspects of product marketing and have not touched on aspects of quality service management, product and service product management, financial management and sharia business ethics management.

Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of basic programming training using the Python programming language for junior high school (SMP) students at Al Fitrah Islamic Boarding School. The aim of this study is to provide an overview of the training experience and its impact on students' understanding of programming and their proficiency in using Python. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. The participants of the study consist of students from the seventh and eighth grades at Al Fitrah Islamic Boarding School. Data was collected through observations, interviews, and tests of students' learning outcomes. The results of the research show that the basic programming training with Python effectively improves students' understanding of programming concepts and develops their computational skills. Additionally, the students demonstrate high interest and enthusiasm in programming activities, indicating strong potential for developing technological skills in the future. This research concludes that basic programming training with Python can be well integrated into the junior high school curriculum to enhance digital literacy and prepare students to face the challenges of an increasingly advanced technological world.

Abstract

A mother becomes a figure who has a central role in the family, one of which is in terms of parenting. However, when carrying out the role of parenting, it is not always easy. Difficult conditions and situations will be encountered and allow stress to arise. The situation difficulty coupled with the occurrence of the covid-19 pandemic causes all activities to be carried out at home and adds to the work to become children's learning companions and to take care of family needs. The condition can make the mother feel pressure for the demands faced, causing stress. Looking at this, the researchers assessed a thing that can affect the stress of mothers when raising children (parental stress) is the involvement of partners in parenting (co-parenting). This study aims to prove, namely how the effect of co-parenting on parental stress in mothers, especially during the covid-19 pandemic. In the process, this study involved 62 mothers as research respondents by providing research questionnaires. The research questionnaire consisted of a co-parenting scale and a parental stress scale. The results of data analysis obtained by simple regression analysis showed that there was an effect of co-parenting on parental stress in mothers during the covid-19 pandemic (p < 0.05). The output are that the role of partners in working together to care for and care for children can reduce the stress felt by mothers.

Abstract

Baduy society belongs to the traditional society that allows it to be at the stage of a developing society. The shift in Baduy society is due to the development of the increasingly advanced times so that not only curiosity to the modern world, various new needs become one of the triggers of pikukuh baduy violations. The process of change occurs because of social relations where baduy people often interact with the outside community causing the mindset and orientation of baduy people towards the maturity of rationality of the needs of life. The phenomenon will be dissected by Emile Durkheim's theory, namely mechanical social solidarity and organic solidarity, as well as providing explanations related to indigenous pikukuh as social facts that influence the way baduy people act and think. The basis of this research is the assessment of the concepts and theories about the development of baduy society based on the search for literature contained from books and several articles that have been published. This approach was chosen to understand social phenomena or symptoms by focusing on a complete picture of the phenomenon studied.

Abstract

This community engagement study aimed to develop an application for processing fish waste into animal feed based in an incubator system in Garut Regency. The program was conducted from May to November 2023 with the primary objective of transferring technology in waste processing and animal feed production to partner groups. Methods included socialization, technical and non-technical training, and direct mentoring in animal feed pellet production. Results showed a significant improvement in the knowledge and skills of the groups in producing fish waste pellets, reducing feed production costs, and enhancing the sustainability of local livestock businesses. Challenges encountered included initial production limitations and consumer trust in new products. With in-depth scientific approaches and sustained support, the program successfully created positive impacts on the environment and community economic welfare.

Abstract

Agro Eduwisata Organik (AEWO) Mulyaharja is one of the natural and educational tourism in Bogor City and is one of the leading ecotourism in Bogor City which is managed by the Tourism Movement Group (Kompepar). As one of the leading destinations, AEWO Mulyaharja still has many challenges, namely limited skills and promotional media. This community service activity consists of five stages, namely situation analysis, socialization, training, mentoring and evaluation. The training method uses lectures and practices with materials related to social media, social media features, design, video content and video editing. The results of this activity are increased knowledge and skills of Kompepar AEWO Mulyaharja partners regarding the creation of promotional content in the form of images and videos on social media, the use and steps using the Canva and Capcut applications, increasing the number of followers, posts and Engagement rate (ER) on Instagram, adding official accounts on other social media, namely YouTube, X and TikTok

Abstract

Efforts to increase fish consumption offer numerous benefits, not only enhancing intelligence but also boosting the fisheries industry. Currently, stunting remains a concerning issue, and data indicates that fish consumption is not evenly distributed across Indonesia. This represents one of the health problems that serves as an indicator of the health and well-being of a community. One of the themes of this community service program (or also known as PPM in Indonesia) is raising awareness about improving children's nutrition among the residents of Majakerta Village, Majalaya District, Bandung Regency. The implementation of the program is conducted in collaboration with student community service (or also known as KKN in Indonesia) activities. The primary objective of this program is to improve children's nutrition through the promotion of fish-based processed food consumption and to educate mothers in Majalaya District about recognizing stunting symptoms and addressing them. The main target of this program is children aged 612 years. The method used in this awareness campaign includes educational games about fish and fish-based processed food to make the material easier for elementary school children to understand. Additionally, one type of fish-based processed food is distributed for children to taste directly, aiming to increase their interest in fish consumption. The results achieved include improved knowledge about the importance of eating fish due to its many health benefits.

Abstract

The International Community Service Program (KKN) at Kalamullah Al-Qur'an and Multilingual School in Pattani, Thailand, aims to strengthen educational and cultural values through a series of work programs that focus on various aspects of learning and culture. The work programs include: (1) Teaching Program, which improves the quality of education at the elementary, middle, and high school levels with interactive teaching methods; (2) Dream Tree Program, which inspires students to set their dreams and plan for their future; (3) Finger Painting Program, which encourages students' creativity through painting; (4) Direction Sign Program, which facilitates navigation and language comprehension in the school environment; (5) Batik Program, which introduces the art of Indonesian batik as part of cultural heritage; and (6) Introducing Indonesian Cuisine Program, which introduces Indonesian cuisine such as rendang, chicken curry, and chili paste to staff, teachers, and students. These programs not only enrich student’s educational and cultural experiences, but also strengthen the relationship between Indonesia and Thailand. These activities successfully facilitated positive cultural exchanges and deepened the understanding of Indonesian culture and education in Thailand.
