Abstract

This research aims to determine effective school climate management in supporting teacher performance at State Elementary School 028354 Binjai. Managing school climate by building harmonious relationships between teachers, staff and students so that it can motivate students to learn better at school. In managing a good social environment at school to support teacher performance and learning, namely by implementing school programs. The principal manages a conducive school climate, where the principal in managing the school climate includes (1) personnel placement, (2) fostering relationships and communication, (3) teacher dynamics, (4) conflict resolution, (5) collecting and utilizing information, (6) Enrichment and completeness of facilities and infrastructure for the working environment and learning environment.

Abstract

Student satisfaction is an important factor in maintaining and improving the quality of education. One factor closely related to student satisfaction is academic services. Universities can provide better services and enhance the level of student satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the influence of academic service quality on the satisfaction of students majoring in Elementary School Teacher Education. The research method used in this study is a survey method, utilizing a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. The variables of academic services are developed from the SERVQUAL theory, consisting of five dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles, while student satisfaction is measured through five aspects: no complaints, recommended to others, confidence in expectations being met, tendency to say positive things, and not feeling hindered in obtaining the same. The research respondents are students enrolled in the Elementary School Teacher Education program from 2020 to 2022, totaling 359 students. The data analysis techniques include descriptive analysis and Spearman's rank correlation test. The results of the study indicate that all dimensions of academic services, including reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles, have an impact on student satisfaction.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of the Work Environment and Communication on Job Satisfaction at Medan City Education Service Employment. The data collection method in this research is through field analysis techniques or surveys by distributing questionnaires. The samples taken in this research were employees of the Medan City Education Department, totaling 72 employees. The data analysis technique used to determine the influence of related variables is using classical assumption test techniques, multiple linear regression, T test (partial), F test (simultaneous), and coefficient of determination. The results of the analysis show that there is a positive and significant influence between variable Variable This means that the work environment and communication have a significant influence on the job satisfaction of Medan City Education Department employees.

Abstract

This study aims to look at student perceptions of the curriculum and learning experiences in higher education (a case study at Quality University). The population is all PGSD study program students with a sample of 135 students. Data collection using survey methods and satisfaction studies.Research results: 1. The suitability of the study program curriculum with the current needs of the labor market, the results obtained are: 11.2% very suitable, 53%, 16.4% quite suitable, and the remaining 19.4% are not suitable and not suitable at all; 2. The study program curriculum prepares students with relevant skills for future careers: 20% is very adequate, 56.3% is adequate, 23% is sufficient; 3. Student responses regarding the study program curriculum integrating theory with practice required in employment: 13.3% highly integrated, 18.5% moderately integrated, 48.1% integrated, and 5.2% less integrated. The results of the learning experience research obtained the following results: 1. In obtaining support and guidance from lecturers in learning: 8.9% were very good, 21.5% were very good, so they knew how to improve good learning methods, 64.4% were good, and the rest stated that they were sufficient; 2. The effectiveness of the learning methods used at the University in facilitating the understanding and application of concepts: 7.4% are very effective and helpful, 17.8% are very effective, 50.4% are effective and 23% are quite effective. 3. Assessment of facilities and resources provided by the university to support student learning: 8.9% very good .important in supporting learning facilities both at home and at school, 15.6% very good, 51.1% rate good, and 21.5% enough.The conclusion is that students' perceptions of the curriculum and learning experience in higher education (a case study at Quality University) are very appropriate and very good.

Abstract

This study presents the Management of Islamic Boarding School-based Higher Education, its advantages, and differences from non-Islamic boarding schools. The research subject in this paper is a private Islamic religious college (PTKIS) based on Islamic Boarding Schools in Kuningan Studies at the Husnul Khotimah College of Sharia Studies (STISHK). The data in this study were obtained through documentation, observation, and in-depth interviews. The results of this study are the implementation of management in Islamic boarding schools based tertiary institutions, an atmosphere that is maintained and supportive to create a scientific and Islamic environment and maximum learning patterns because students are in dormitories. Lecturers with at least masters and doctoral degrees graduated abroad and are in line with their majors. The system and policies adapt to the Islamic boarding schools as the main base, there is a full scholarship program where graduates are required to memorize 5 chapters of the Qur'an and be able to communicate using Arabic and English, have a strong tabawiyah spirit and can become da'wah cadres in society. Even though it is in a pesantren environment and has minimal access to outside schools, in this case pesantren-based tertiary institutions continue to make updates so that they can compete and not be left behind from non-Islamic boarding schools by conducting seminars that invite academics and professionals to attend and conduct comparative studies and collaboration. with various parties so that they are always supported and given the trust of the community.

Abstract

This study aims to provide training as a means of strengthening knowledge and skills regarding education management and Islamic teaching methods for kindergarten and TPQ teachers at the Asy-Syifa Banjar foundation. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through; training, packages and field notes. Data analysis techniques by reducing, presenting data and drawing conclusions from existing data. Based on the data it was found that most of the Asy-Syifa foundation's teachers already had knowledge of educational management and Islamic teaching methods. However, with the provision of training, the acquisition of insight and mastery of the skills and abilities of teachers increase evenly and have a good influence of around 70-80%. This training also has a positive impact on student learning outcomes because teachers apply educational management and use methods well. Apart from that, there are several aspects of training that are well affected by this, namely curriculum, infrastructure, student affairs, assessment and finance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal's policy and leadership in improving teacher performance at MI Ma'arif 2 Yogyakarta School. The research was conducted using qualitative methods and collected data through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results showed that the principal has implemented various policies and effective leadership strategies to improve teacher performance at school. First, the principal creates a comfortable and conducive working atmosphere in the school, including in the teachers' offices, by providing adequate facilities and tidying up the working environment. Second, principals build harmonious relationships between teachers by holding meetings, discussions and social activities. In addition, principals encourage good communication between teachers and students by providing opportunities for students to give feedback to teachers. The principal also acts as a mediator in learning at school, resolving problems or conflicts that may arise between teachers and students. In addition to the implemented leadership policies and strategies, principals also implement supporting programs such as training and workshops to increase teachers' motivation and professional development. Awards and appreciation are given to teachers who achieve good results in learning. And inspire teachers to continuously improve the quality of their teaching.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of academic supervision and good practices in the implementation of academic supervision at SMA 1 Kabanjahe, Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province. Academic supervision is a series of activities to help teachers develop the ability to manage the learning process in the classroom by the teacher. The results of this study indicate that in the implementation of effective supervision, good practices must be carried out by supervisors, namely they must be able to choose which one is most suitable to be implemented. The academic supervision techniques implemented are individual supervision techniques and group supervision techniques. Individual supervision practices carried out were: 1) class visits, 2) class observations, 3) individual meetings, 4) inter-class visits, and 5) self-assessment. Group techniques are carried out by involving a number of teachers in solving problems, talking and discussing with supervisors. The implementation of academic supervision at SMA Negeri 1 Kabanjahe includes (1) the planning stage with the activities of compiling a schedule for implementing supervision, evaluation programs, follow-up programs on the results of supervision evaluations, preparing administrative supporting documents, (2) implementation stages, (3) evaluation stages of supervision results, (4) follow-up stage.

Abstract

This research was based on the phenomenon of not yet optimal implementation of diagnostic assessments in social studies learning, especially in the Topography of the Asian Continent material in Class IX students who are still using the Curriculum 2013 at SMPN 1 Cikalongwetan. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods including interviews, observation, and documentation, with the main informants including social studies teachers and student representatives from classes IX-E, IX-F, and IX-G. The results found that teachers prepared teaching tools, models and methods according to their respective interest groups, prospects and learning styles. Student responses were quite varied, indicating readiness and capacity to receive the material and students' ability to understand the material. Most students have demonstrated good communication skills which are supported by the teacher's ability to communicate with students.

Abstract

This study examines the issue of suboptimal student concentration during the learning process. The purpose of this research is to identify the influence of learning discipline and learning environment on the concentration of students at SD Negeri 2 Tahunan, Jepara. Learning concentration is a psychological aspect that is often difficult for others to understand besides the individual who is learning. This study uses a quantitative methodology with data collection instruments in the form of questionnaires assessing learning discipline (X1), learning environment (X2), and learning concentration (Y). The number of respondents in this study was 50 students from SD Negeri 2 Tahunan. The data analysis techniques used include multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination with descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the study indicate that learning discipline and the learning environment significantly influence student concentration, allowing the learning process to proceed according to expectations and learning objectives.
