Abstract

This community development paper is related to socioeconomic issues in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), an area known for its high rates of poverty and child malnutrition. Wahana Visi Indonesia launched an Inclusion Community Development Program to empower underprivileged households and small farmers in response to these issues, working with the PPM School of Management. Workshops that promoted opportunity recognition, business planning, and digital marketing were used to help participants develop their entrepreneurial abilities during the February 2025 event. Explanation, coaching and mini case studies are a technique used in community development to comprehend and resolve issues.. The results show that despite efforts to include underrepresented groups, participants' understanding of entrepreneurial principles was hindered by educational gaps. By highlighting the value of cooperatives and ongoing training for sustainable economic growth in NTT, the program showed promise for fostering resilience and inventiveness in local economies. Suggestions for upcoming projects include continued assistance for collaborative growth and customized instruction to improve participants' business savvy

Abstract

Abstract

Amid growing consumer awareness of environmental issues, companies worldwide are increasingly adopting marketing strategies that emphasize sustainability and social responsibility. However, the practice of greenwashing, where companies merely pretend to care about the environment to enhance their image, has raised significant concerns. This research aims to identify how greenwashing is used within the context of strategic management and to evaluate its impact on consumer trust and corporate reputation in the long term. The study employs a case study method, analyzing companies accused of greenwashing, particularly from the fast fashion and energy industries. The findings reveal that while greenwashing can boost short-term sales and popularity, its detrimental effect on corporate reputation becomes evident in the long run, especially when consumers detect the discrepancy between a company's claims and actual practices. The implications of this research highlight the importance of authentic sustainability strategies and contribute to the literature on ethics in strategic management. Thus, this study encourages companies to adopt more socially and environmentally responsible solutions, rather than mere image-building efforts.

Abstract

As financial inclusion rates in Indonesia rise without a corresponding increase in financial literacy, financial knowledge has become crucial for Indonesian citizens. Despite this, many individuals, particularly those in rural areas or with limited education, still lack basic financial knowledge. This community involvement initiative aims to address this issue by providing financial literacy education to the waste management community in South Rawabadak, North Jakarta. The program's activities include: 1) Program socialization within the community, 2) Focus group discussions with housewives to gather initial information, and 3) Knowledge sharing sessions on basic financial statements tailored to the gathered information. By providing accessible and relevant financial education, the program empowers the waste management community to make informed financial decisions, manage their resources effectively, and build a more secure financial future. This initiative serves as a valuable model for replicating similar programs across various communities in Indonesia, ultimately contributing to a more financially literate and empowered nation.

Abstract

"Visualizing the Shrimp Aquaculture Cycle: Transforming Data into Informative Graphics" addresses the intricacies of shrimp farming through a novel approach—data visualization. As a critical component of the global seafood industry, shrimp aquaculture faces challenges ranging from disease management to environmental sustainability. This project seeks to enhance understanding and decision-making within the industry by transforming complex data into visually compelling graphics. We hope the project can reinforce the belief in the transformative power of data visualization as a tool for knowledge dissemination and advocacy in complex domains such as shrimp aquaculture. From pond or tank cultivation to disease control and harvesting, the project aims to empower stakeholders at every level, including shrimp farmers, industry professionals, researchers, and the wider public. By making use of clear and accessible graphics, the project facilitates the interpretation of essential factors such as water quality management that includes temperature, salinity, pH, bacteria and plankton concentrations for three to four months of the shrimp aquaculture cycle. The objective is not only to simplify complex data but also to promote awareness and prevention from various disease threats by giving an early warning sign.
