Abstract

The nursing staff at M. Zein Painan Regional Hospital is experiencing an excess number of nurses which has a major impact on the hospital. Causing an increase in the burden of expenses and not having a function and maximum in improving the quality of service at the Hospital. The purpose of this study was to calculate the workload with the work sampling formula and calculate the need for nursing staff with the Ilyas method. This study was conducted starting in August 2024 using the mixed-methods method. The results of qualitative research showed that the nursing workload method system in the inpatient installation of M.Zein Painan Regional Hospital was not structured and the workload given to nurses did not match the number of nurses available. This is reinforced by the results of quantitative research on each inpatient installation at M.Zein Painan Regional Hospital with the Work Sampling method, the nurse's workload was relatively light. The number of nurses with the Ilyas Method found an excess of 43 nurses. The Hospital can carry out employee efficiency and effectiveness at M.Zein Painan Regional Hospital. It is hoped that this research can be the basis for a method for calculating the need for nursing staff at Class C Regional Hospitals.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of traditional games on the level of physical fitness of students at SMK Terpadu Jannatul Firdaus, Ngawi Regency. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design method of non-randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 40 students of grades X and XI who were divided into an experimental group (using the gobak sodor game) and a control group (regular physical exercise). Data were collected through the Nusantara Student Fitness Test (TKPN) and analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores in the experimental group (p <0.05), which indicated that traditional games had a positive effect on improving students' physical fitness. This finding confirms that the integration of traditional games in physical education learning can be an effective and enjoyable alternative to improve students' physical fitness.

Abstract

Circumcision is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of the foreskin (prepuce) covering the glans penis. This procedure is typically performed to eliminate smegma, which results from the accumulation of fluids in the foreskin area, causing unpleasant odor and increasing the risk of infection. In Islam, circumcision is a religious practice exemplified since the time of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), peace be upon him. This literature review discusses circumcision from both a medical and Islamic perspective. The findings indicate that circumcision is performed based on medical indications such as phimosis, paraphimosis, and balanitis, both as a treatment and as a preventive measure against recurrence. Additionally, circumcision has been linked to a reduced risk of urinary tract infections (UTIs) and HIV transmission. In Islamic terminology, circumcision is referred to as khitan. It is strongly grounded in Islamic jurisprudence and is regarded as a significant practice for Muslim males. Circumcision is effective in reducing the incidence of phimosis, paraphimosis, balanitis, as well as the risks of UTIs and HIV transmission. In Islam, khitan is considered part of human nature (fitrah) and is deemed obligatory (wājib) by some schools of thought, while others regard it as a highly recommended (sunnah muakkadah) practice.

Abstract

The WHO recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months; however, coverage remains low, particularly among working mothers who face various challenges. Husband involvement is a key factor in breastfeeding success. To analyze the role of husbands in improving breastfeeding practices among postpartum working mothers in the working area of Darussalam Public Health Center, Medan, Indonesia. A quasi-experimental design (non-equivalent group, pre-test–post-test) was conducted from January to October 2024. A total of 140 postpartum working mothers were selected and divided into an intervention group (husbands received structured breastfeeding education with a personalized approach) and a control group (no intervention). Data were collected using structured questionnaires assessing husband’s roles (attention, informational, financial, emotional support) and exclusive breastfeeding practices. Analyses included paired t-tests, independent t-tests, and Pearson correlation tests. Husband involvement significantly increased in the intervention group compared to the control group (p < 0.001) with strong between-group differences (p < 0.001). In the intervention group, scores for all four dimensions of husband’s support were strongly correlated with exclusive breastfeeding success (r > 0.70; p < 0.001), while no significant correlation was found in the control group. Breastfeeding education for fathers through dedicated classes effectively enhances husband involvement in supporting exclusive breastfeeding. Integration of such programs into maternal and child health services, supported by standardized educational modules and digital media tools, is recommended to strengthen husband engagement.

Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that attacks the human immune system. The United Nations Joint Program for HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) in 2019, stated that the largest HIV-infected population in the world is on the African continent (25.7 million), then in Southeast Asia (3.8 million), and in the Americas (3.5 million). HIV/AIDS symptoms consist of 4 stages, namely stage 1, this phase is referred to as asymptomatic HIV infection where the initial HIV symptoms are still not felt. The goal of antiretroviral therapy (ARV) is to increase the number of CD4+ in T cells, reduce viral load, so that it is expected to reduce mortality. Recommendations for ARV administration are always evolving. Currently, ARVs are given to patients with PLWHA at any clinical stage and CD4+ count. This study aims to determine the development of Antiretroviral therapy (ARV) in the treatment of HIV/AIDS. The method used was literature review with narrative review design to identify and summarise previously published articles on the development of Antiretroviral (ARV) therapy in the treatment of HIV/AIDS. From the 10 articles summarised, it was found that there was an influence of the development of Antiretroviral (ARV) therapy in the treatment of HIV/AIDS over time.

Abstract

Childhood tuberculosis (TB) in Boyolali Regency has shown a significant increase. Spatial analysis research has not previously been conducted in Boyolali, which prompted the researcher to investigate and analyze the spatial distribution patterns and clusters of childhood TB cases. This study employs a quantitative descriptive design and was conducted in the working area of the Boyolali Regency Health Office from March to June 2025. Sampling techniques involved secondary data geospatial collection, the use of geographic coordinates of primary health center administrative areas, and Google Earth. The data population included childhood TB cases in Boyolali Regency from 2021 to 2023, along with data on total population, population density, and BCG immunization coverage. The research instrument used a secondary data recording table. Data analysis was performed using QGIS and SaTScan software. The results identified significant clusters in the central and southern regions, particularly in the working areas of Boyolali 1 & 2, Mojosongo, Teras, and Banyudono health centers. Spatially, population density was found to influence the incidence of childhood TB cases, whereas BCG immunization coverage was not sufficient to suppress incidence rates.
