Abstract

The importance of proper nutrient intake for children's growth and development is a major concern for parents, providing exclusive breastfeeding until the age of 6 months is a very important first step to ensure children get adequate nutrition for growth and development. At the age of 6 months, the child enters a transition period where the introduction of complementary foods (MP-ASI), MP-ASI is an additional source of nutrition given to children after the age of 6 months to meet their nutritional needs apart from breast milk. The importance of providing complementary foods on time in the age range of 6-12 months is crucial, as children are very vulnerable to malnutrition during this period. Therefore, complementary foods become the main support in maintaining the nutritional balance of children from 6 months to 2 years of age. By providing appropriate complementary foods, it is expected that children can grow and develop optimally and avoid the risk of malnutrition that can interfere with their health and growth.

Contipation occurs at all ages, and is generally characterized by a low frequency of bowel movements (less than 3 times a week). Breastfed infants may have a bowel movement after every feeding or only once in 7-10 days (Eka, 2014). Constipation may occur due to early complementary feeding. The optimal age for starting solids is 6 months old. The recommendation for complementary feeding can be started when the baby is 4-6 months old. Abstract

Female circumcision or Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) has no health benefits, in fact if carried out excessively it can cause long-term health problems for women. The aim of this community service is to provide health education to parents who have daughters in a traditionally dangerous culture: female circumcision as an indicator of gender equality from a religious, transcultural and reproductive health perspective in Ladang Bambu Village, Medan Tuntungan District. This Community Service is a qualitative approach with an ethnographic approach. The number of participants was 19 people. The results of the research are that female circumcision is a rule and principle in Islam. Female circumcision is not associated with gender equality, but its implementation is based on the demands of local customs or culture and Islamic religious guidance. From a reproductive health perspective, female circumcision is seen as having no benefits. As a follow-up, it is necessary to establish a Regional Regulation for the City of Medan regarding the implementation of female circumcision and disseminate it to the relevant agencies and the community so that this regulation can be implemented. Abstract

This mentoring is based on the constraints faced by students, namely that many graduates from higher education institutions lack the skills sought by companies, making it difficult for them to compete in the job market. This problem forms the basis of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka policy. The Kampus Merdeka policy encompasses several important issues that need to be addressed. Firstly, the demand for changes in the education system. Secondly, the need for improvements in the quality of education. Thirdly, the need to empower the quality of students. Lastly, the enhancement of students' innovation and creativity. The mentoring activities for the Kampus Merdeka internship process are based on the needs of students regarding the importance of having supervising lecturers who can serve as consultation points to ensure the success and effectiveness of the program. These mentoring activities are carried out from August to December 2023. The purpose of implementing this mentoring process is to ensure that a total of 50 students under the guidance of lecturers can successfully complete the program at the Secretariat General of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia. The mentoring activities are carried out using three methods: mentoring, consultation and evaluation, as well as documentation and reporting. The results of this mentoring process indicate an improvement in the quality of internship students from the scores they obtained. Out of the five indicators set, initially, students received a score of 70 for three competencies: communication, results orientation, and specific competencies. Meanwhile, the other two competencies received a score of 80, namely cooperation and integrity. In the final results, all students received a score of 90 for four competency indicators, and for the competency of specific skills, students received a score of 85.
