Abstract

According to existing literature, familial support has been shown to be a significant predictor of students’ success or failure in school. In this paper, we investigate family-related factors that contribute to minority students dropping out. A qualitative research approach was employed in this study, which involved 11 Hmong studentleavers as key interviewees. Participants were asked about their university education experiences and why they discontinued their studies. The data obtained from interviews were analyzed through qualitative content analysis. As the findings of the study indicate, four family-related factors were most prevalent in causing minority students to withdraw from their studies: family economic situation, parental attitudes, marriage/early parenthood, and home life situations. Future research in this area is strongly recommended.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the facilities of the Posyandu (Integrated Health Service Post) in the vitamin A supplementation program for toddlers at Posyandu Ledeng. The vitamin A supplementation program at Posyandu Ledeng was evaluated using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model to assess the program's context, resources utilized, program implementation, and achieved outcomes. The evaluation results showed that although the vitamin A supplementation program was implemented successfully, there are still deficiencies in the available facilities. The measuring equipment for body weight and height and the storage facilities for vitamin A are inadequate, and there is a need to replenish the vitamin A stock. These facility shortcomings can impact the program's effectiveness and the quality of healthcare services at Posyandu Ledeng. Therefore, it is necessary to update and improve the facilities and inventory management to enhance the effectiveness of this program, ensuring its sustainability and success in providing vitamin A supplementation to toddlers at Posyandu Ledeng.

Abstract

Inquiry into barriers to workplace learning implementation is ongoing. This paper uses qualitative content analysis to investigate possible barriers hindering workplace learning in higher education. The study involved a semi-structured interview with 12 faculty members from a Laotian university as key informants. By using qualitative content analysis, two aspects/components of an individual (lack of team learning, low motivation, limited self-learning, etc.) and organization (unqualified leadership, lack of learning culture, etc.) appear to be significant barriers to workplace learning. Future research may benefit from investigating this area quantitatively

Abstract

This study aims to explore the types of services available for students with disabilities in higher education, analyze the factors influencing institutional readiness, and identify the major challenges faced by universities in providing these services. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on PRISMA guidelines, analyzing 20 empirical articles published between 2020–2025 from five leading academic databases. The findings reveal that universities have provided various services, including academic support, assistive technology, physical accommodations, and socio-emotional assistance. However, the implementation of these services remains highly dependent on institutional policies, human resource capacity, infrastructure, and inclusive campus culture. Major challenges include insufficient staff training, limited access to assistive tools, administrative bureaucracy, and persistent social stigma against disability. The implications of this study highlight the potential of its findings as a strategic basis for formulating or strengthening inclusion policies at the higher education level. Moreover, it underscores the urgency of continuous professional development for academic and administrative staff in adopting inclusive teaching strategies responsive to the diverse needs of students. Additionally, the high level of stigma and resistance within campuses suggests the need for institutional cultural transformation through sustained educational and advocacy programs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the role of family in the formation of LGBT identity through a literature review approach. An individual's sexual and gender identity is formed through a long process influenced by various factors, one of which is the family environment, as the primary foundation of self-development from an early age. A harmonious and affectionate family with open communication patterns has been proven to positively shape a child’s gender identity. Conversely, family disharmony, unbalanced parenting, the absence of parental figures, and the lack of character and sexual education within the family can increase the risk of identity confusion in children and make them more vulnerable to seekinadsg validation outside the family environment. This study analyzes scientific articles that discuss the relationship between family dynamics and LGBT identity, which are then categorized into several main themes, such as parenting patterns, emotional attachment, education within the family, and family-based interventions. The results of this review are expected to serve as a foundation for designing prevention and assistance strategies based on family involvement to support the healthy development of children's sexual and gender identity, following Indonesian social and cultural values.
