Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas penerapan model Geometric Brownian Motion (GBM) untuk memodelkan dan mensimulasikan fluktuasi suhu harian di Kota New York secara stokastik. Data suhu diperoleh dari dataset Global Weather Repository (Kaggle) dan diolah untuk menghitung parameter drift (μ) dan volatilitas (σ) yang merepresentasikan tren serta tingkat ketidakpastian perubahan suhu. Simulasi dilakukan menggunakan metode Monte Carlo untuk menghasilkan beberapa lintasan kemungkinan perubahan suhu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model GBM mampu mengikuti pola suhu aktual dengan baik dan memberikan nilai Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) di bawah 10%, yaitu 6,47% untuk New York, 5,11% untuk Los Angeles, dan 4,81% untuk Chicago. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa GBM efektif dalam menangkap dinamika stokastik suhu harian dan dapat digunakan sebagai alat prediksi iklim jangka pendek yang akurat, terutama di wilayah urban dengan fluktuasi suhu yang tinggi.

Abstract

Monthly inflation in North Sumatra exhibits high fluctuation, seasonality, and uncertainty (stochasticity), making it difficult for deterministic models to predict accurately. This study aims to analyze seasonal and stochastic patterns, build a SARIMA model, and apply Monte Carlo Simulation to generate probabilistic prediction ranges. This study uses a quantitative approach with BPS monthly inflation (month-to-month) data from January 2021–September 2025 for five cities in North Sumatra. The Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA) model is used to capture seasonal patterns and trends, while Monte Carlo Simulation (5,000 paths) is applied to quantify prediction uncertainty by generating probabilistic distributions. The forecast results (Oct 2025–Dec 2026) indicate that Medan City is projected to face the highest inflationary pressure. However, model validation on 2024 test data showed limited performance, marked by negative R² values for all cities (ranging from -0.364 to -1.146). This negative R² finding highlights high uncertainty. This combined approach proves more informative than single-point predictions, as it explicitly presents the uncertainty range (visualized as a "fan 90%" band), offering a more comprehensive forecasting picture for policy considerations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran Game-Based Learning (GBL) berbantuan Collmath4kids dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa, khususnya pada materi operasi bilangan bulat. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 siswa kelas VII SMP, yang terbagi ke dalam dua kelas, yaitu 30 siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model GBL berbantuan Collmath4kids dan 30 siswa pada kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen meningkat secara signifikan dari 43,53 menjadi 80,33, sedangkan kelas kontrol meningkat dari 53,25 menjadi 64,38. Nilai N-Gain pada kelompok eksperimen sebesar 0,7154 yang tergolong kategori tinggi, sementara kelompok kontrol memperoleh N-Gain sebesar 0,2367 yang termasuk kategori rendah. Uji statistik menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok (p = 0,003). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran GBL berbantuan Collmath4kids efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang penting dimiliki oleh siswa. Namun, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di sekolah masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 11 Mataram pada tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimen dengan desain posttest-only control design. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari seluruh siswa kelas IX yang berjumlah 85 siswa yang tersebar dalam tiga kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling dan diperoleh dua kelas sebagai sampel yaitu kelas IX A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model discovery Learning, dan kelas IX B sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji parametrik (uji t) dan perhitungan effect size. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 75, lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 64. Hasil uji t menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan nilai rata - rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Nilai effect size yang diperoleh sebesar d = 0,71, yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Discovery Learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 11 Mataram pada tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Abstract

This article studies the factorization of Hermitian matrices over a division ring based on their trace values. The main result shows that the trace determines the minimum number of Hermitian factors required in factorization depending on the trace value, namely four factors are sufficient for matrices with zero trace, while for matrices with nonzero trace, one additional diagonalizable factor is required. This result indicates a relationship between additive invariance (trace) and multiplicative invariance (Dieudonné determinant) in noncommutative linear algebra.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has accelerated digital transformation in various sectors, including job vacancy management and distribution systems. Manual registration processes often cause issues such as data duplication, delayed information delivery, and inefficiency. This study aims to design and implement a web-based job vacancy information system that applies the First Come First Served (FCFS) method as the registration and applicant selection mechanism. The system was developed using the Waterfall model, with PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database management system. System testing focused on functional suitability, usability, and performance efficiency. The results indicate that the system successfully manages registration processes fairly and transparently based on submission order while improving overall efficiency and user experience. This research contributes to the development of an integrated and accessible employment information system that supports digital transformation in workforce management.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences and the Effect of the influence of the Discovery Learning model on the mathematical communication skills of grade VIII students at SMPN 11 Mataram in the academic year 2025/2026. This study is an experimental study with a quasi-experimental posttest only control group design. The research population consisted of grade VIII students at SMPN 11 Mataram, with sample classes VIIIA as the experimental class and VIIIB as the control class, selected through cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques used mathematical communication ability test instruments. Before conducting data analysis, prerequisite tests were carried out, including normality and homogeneity tests. The main data analysis was performed using the Independent Samples t-test and effect size calculations. The results showed that: 1) The average mathematical communication ability score in the experimental class was 78.4, which was higher than that in the control class, which was 67.4; 2) There was a difference in the average mathematical communication ability scores between students in the experimental class and those in the control class, with an effect size of d = 0.82, which is classified as large. In conclusion, the application of the Discovery Learning model has an effect on the mathematical communication ability of grade VIII students at SMPN 11 Mataram in the academic year 2025/2026.

Abstract

Salah satu program pemerintah dalam mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja dan perubahan zaman saat ini adalah Program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon mahasiswa terhadap pelaksanaan Program MBKM pada Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP), Universitas Nusa Cendana (Undana) yang dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil Tahun Akademik 2024/2025 sehingga dapat menjadi bahan evaluasi bagi program studi untuk memperbaiki dan meningkatkan mutu layanan Program MBKM. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei dengan instrumen berupa angket yang memuat 4 aspek pengukuran yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, penilaian dan kebermaknaan program dengan 22 item pernyataan. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 78 mahasiswa pendidikan matematika, FKIP Undana yang melaksanakan Program MBKM pada semester ganjil tahun akademik 2024/2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata respons mahasiswa sebesar 4,59 yang berarti pelaksanaan Program MBKM di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Undana pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2024/2025 sangat baik. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar Program Studi dapat mempertahankan atau meningkatkan layanan kepada mahasiswa yang terlibat dalam program MBKM.

Abstract

This study examines the factors that distinguish the environmental awareness behavior of the Pinolosian District community using Discriminant Analysis. The low level of environmental awareness in this region is reflected in the minimal community participation in cleanliness and waste management activities. This study aims to develop a discriminant model based on three main variables, namely attitude, subjective norms, and behavioral control, and to identify the most dominant variables in distinguishing between groups of people who do and do not engage in environmentally conscious behavior. Data were obtained from 371 respondents through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using R Studio software. The results show that the discriminant function formed is statistically significant, with behavioral control as the most dominant distinguishing factor, followed by subjective norms and attitudes. The resulting classification model has an accuracy rate of 69%, which indicates a fairly good ability to categorize community environmental behavior. These findings confirm that improving environmentally conscious behavior needs to focus on strengthening the community's perception of their capabilities through the provision of supporting facilities, the reduction of structural barriers, and the strengthening of social norms as the basis for formulating environmental policies at the regional level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the types of errors made by students in the Mathematics Education Study Program, taking the Algebraic Structures course, based on Newman's Theory. The research method used was descriptive qualitative research. The subjects were 30 students who obtained test scores below 60. The data analysis technique used was an interactive technique consisting of three activity flows: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The data presentation used bipartite graphs and, where is the set of students and the set of error types, according to Newman. The results showed that the most common type of problem transformation error was found in problem number 1 (10 students), while the most common type of problem understanding error (comprehension error) was found in problem number 2 (19 students). Therefore, several follow-up actions are needed to strengthen a deeper understanding of the definitions and properties of Algebraic Structures, namely groups and rings, and the use of non-routine and varied problems.
