Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the difficulties of students of Physical Education, Faculty of Teacher Treaning and Education, The University of Nusa Cendana, in understanding the material volume of rotary an area. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subject of the study was taken from students of the Physics Education second semester, Faculty of Teacher Treaning and Education, The University of Nusa Cendana, as many as 42 people. Data was obtained through tests and documentation of student work results. The results revealed that there were 3 types of difficulties experienced by physics education students of the University of Nusa Cendana, namely (1) difficulty understanding the concept, such as the difficulty in applying the method used correctly, difficult to determine the upper limit and lower limit of certain integrals that were appropriate to the problem and difficult to determine the right function to be countered. (2) difficulty in calculating accuracy, such as not being careful in calculating multiplying positive numbers with negative numbers and squaring a function. (3) difficulty in image representation. Abstract

This study aims to see whether the university entrance selection path significantly affects the first-year GPA of UNDANA Mathematics Education students. This research was carried out in the mathematics education study program FKIP UNDANA by taking data on the university entrance selection path of 220 mathematics education students who entered in 2014 – 2020 and their GPA data after studying for one year in the mathematics education study program. This data then analyses using simple linear regression theory – one categorical independent variable with several categories assisted by the SPSS application. The study results show that the university entrance path has a significant effect on the first-year GPA of mathematics education students. The F value obtained is 5.043 with sig. = 0.007 < 0.05, so the hypothesis H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted. In addition, this study also shows that students with SNMPTN entrance pathways have a higher average first-year GPA than students with SBMPTN and SMMU entry pathways.

Abstract

  The former East Timorese who chose Indonesia as their country are now living in two state imaginations. First, psychological dependence on East Timor as the land of birth, ancestral land, and land of civilization. Second, juridical dependence on Indonesia as the result of the referendum on August 30, 1999. However, social relations between the former East Timorese and local communities are not always harmonious. They are accepted as guests who do not want to go home by the local community. This study measures the social distance between local and ex-East Timorese communities in Tuapukan Village in Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. The theory used is Social Distance proposed by Emory S. Bogardus. Bogardus compiled a scale measuring a person's acceptance of others in the following elements: (1) willingness to marry someone else; (2) socialize closely as a member of the club's comrades; (3) accept him as a neighbor; (4) accept him as a citizen, and 5) visitors/tourists to our country, 6) leave this country. The research population is the Tuapukan community, Kupang Regency which consists of 546 heads of families. This number includes 211 former East Timorese Family Heads. Researchers used the Slovin formula. The desired critical value (limit of accuracy) (percent allowance for inaccuracy due to sampling error) is 5% with a confidence level of 75%. Data collection using a questionnaire. The data is tabulated according to the respondents' answers. Next, the percentage is calculated and analyzed. The results showed that 36.67% of respondents answered that they were not willing to marry their family members with ex-East Timorese. Meanwhile, social distancing is almost non-existent in terms of respondents' willingness to accept ex-East Timorese as office mates. Only 3.33% of respondents answered that they were not willing to accept ex-East Timorese as office mates or in other words 96.67% answered that they were willing to accept ex-East Timorese as office mates.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan produk berupa media pembelajaran berbasis android yang layak menggunakan Smart Apps Creator pada materi pola bilangan untuk siswa kelas VIII SMPK Kristen Tunas Gloria. Kelayakan Media pembelajaran ini meliputi 3 aspek yaitu valid, praktis dan efektif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Research and Development (R&D) serta model yang digunakan dalam proses pengembangan media adalah model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan yaitu analisis (analysis), desain (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation) dan evaluasi (evaluation). Teknik dan instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, angket dan tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis kevalidan, teknik analisis kepraktisan dan teknik analisis keefektifan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis android yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran materi Pola Bilangan untuk siswa kelas VIII di SMPK Kristen Tunas Gloria. Hasil kelayakan media tersebut diperoleh dari penilaian ahli materi dengan rata-rata 4.53 dan penilaian ahli media 4.4 sehingga dikategorikan “valid”, respon guru mata pelajaran dengan rata-rata hasil respon yaitu 4.8, respon dari siswa kelas kecil adalah 4.51 dan kelas besar adalah 4.44 sehingga termasuk dalam kategori “praktis”, serta hasil tes ketuntasan belajar kelas kecil diperoleh hasil persentase kelulusan sebesar 83.3% dan kelas besar diperoleh hasil persentase kelulusan sebesar 85% sehingga berdasarkan hasil tes ketuntasan belajar siswa, media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori “efektif”.

Abstract

One of the most disturbing problems in queuing at the bank is if the bank provides insufficient number of tellers to serve the customers. It will be obviously put the customers in an uncomfortable situation. To solve this problem the bank could increase the number of tellers but it could bring some loss on the bank side if it then turns out to be excessive although it will meet the demand of the customers. Thus, to find the most optimal solution to solve the problem in queuing system we use genetic algorithm. The main issues raised in this research are how to apply the genetic algorithm in solving the problem of queuing system in PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Branch Kupang Unit Kelapa Lima with Turbo Pascal 7.0 assistance and how to determine the most optimal queuing system by using genetic algorithm with Turbo Pascal 7.0 program assistance that can be applied in PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Branch Kupang Unit Kelapa Lima. The purpose of genetic algorithm is to find the individuals with the highest value of fitness, thus the fitness function for the queuing system problem is the inversion of sum between how often a teller does not have customer to take care and the customer’s waiting time in a queue by using the genetic algorithm we could see that the sum of the optimal teller in busy hour is 4 tellers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Undana tentang perkuliahan daring berbantuan Youtube pada mata kuliah Aljabar Linear. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada 4 aspek yaitu minat, keterjangkauan (accessability), kemandirian belajar dan efektivitas perkuliahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 65 mahasiswa pendidikan matematika FKIP Undana yang mengikuti perkuliahan Aljabar Linear secara daring berbantuan youtube. Data persepsi mahasiswa diperoleh dengan cara menyebarkan angket yang sudah valid dan reliabel secara online menggunakan google form. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa Pendidikan matematika FKIP Undana tentang perkuliahan daring berbantuan youtube pada mata kuliah Aljabar Linear adalah sangat positif. Selain itu, diketahui pula bahwa 66.15% mahasiswa memberikan respon sangat positif tentang perkuliahan daring berbantuan youtube pada mata kuliah aljabar linear, 29.23% mahasiswa memberikan respon positif dan 4.6% mahasiswa memberikan respon kurang positif dan tidak ada mahasiswa yang memberikan respon negatif.

Abstract

Inventor In Statistick Materials For Class VIII Students Of SMP N 19 Kota Kupang aims to produce products in the form of Android application-based learning media using MITT App Inventor In Statistick Materials For Class VIII Students Of SMP N 19 Kota Kupang which includes valid, practical, and effective aspects. The method used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) method and the model used in the development of this android application-based learning media is the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Data collection techniques and instruments used were interviews, questionnaires and tests. Data analysis techniques used are validity analysis techniques, practicality analysis techniques and effectiveness analysis techniques. The results showed that the android based learning media that had been developed was feasible to be used in learning Statistick Materials For Class VIII Students Of SMP N 19 Kota Kupang. The results of the feasibility of the learning media were obtained from the material expert assessment with an average of 4.0 and the media expert assessment of 4.36 so it was categorized as "very valid", the subject teacher's response with an average response result of 4.43 so it was included in the "very practical" category ”, as well as the results of student tests and student responses using learning media, the percentage of student graduation obtained is 80.65% so that it is included in the "very effective" category, while the average student response for this learning media is 4.44 so that based on test results and student responses, the learning media developed is very effective. Abstract

This research aims to produce products in the form of learning media based on android applications using Powerpoint and I-Spring on line and angle materials for junior high school students in grade VII that are valid, practical and effective. The method used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model consisting of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Data collection techniques and instruments used were interviews, questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. The results showed that the learning media based on the android application that was developed met the valid, practical and effective eligibility criteria. The results of the media eligibility were obtained from the assessment of material experts with an average of 4.4 and media expert assessments of 4.4 so that they were categorized as "valid", the results of the student evaluation tests obtained a passing presentation of 78.6% which was included in the "Effective" category, while the average response to the use of subject teachers is 3.4, and the student response to this learning media is 3.48 so it is included in the "practical" category.

Abstract

The challenges of 21st-century learning lead the Indonesian government to make innovations in the education world, one of which is in the learning assessment system. The policy of abolishing the UN and USBN and then proceeding with the implementation of the National Assessment has been carried out since 2020. This is a good policy but teachers and principals' understanding of an assessment system like this still requires assistance. For this reason, this Community Service (PkM) activity was carried out. The PkM team from the Mathematics Education Study Program, Nusa Cendana University collaborated with the Astra Education Foundation – Michael D. Ruslim (YPA-MDR) and four Astra-assisted elementary schools in Takari, NTT, so that there were four principals and thirty-nine teachers who were actively involved in this activity. The Lecture method, question-and-answer, practices, and demonstrations were the methods used. This activity was carried out for three days and went through several stages: preparation, implementation, evaluation-reflection. The results show that this PkM activity has succeeded in achieving the set goals: 1) participants are able to develop Literacy and Numeracy tasks, 2) understand what school activities can be developed as part of implementing the Pancasila student profile and based on nine aspects of the Learning Environment Survey.

Abstract

This activity for the community aims to help elementary school teachers create culture-based learning media as part of learning innovation. Meanwhile, the background for holding this activity is because there is an elementary school mathematics concept related to culture and thus requires culture-based mathematics learning media. Still, elementary school teachers have never developed culture-based mathematics learning media. The methods used in this activity are lecture, discussion, question and answer, demonstration, and practice. The provision of material I is an introduction to Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Learning (PMRI). Presentation of the 2nd material on Adonara ethnomathematics, followed by the 3rd material on elementary school mathematics concepts related to local Adonara culture, to open up the thinking horizons of teachers, making it easier to create appropriate mathematical media. Followed by discussion and questions and answers. The provision of material 4, namely about Model Student Activity Sheets as a learning medium, was followed by a demonstration of the use of culture-based mathematics media that had been prepared by the implementing team in learning several elementary school mathematics concepts and continued with discussion and questions and answers. Material 5 was given, namely about the practice of making culture-based LKPD by teachers and continued with discussion. Furthermore, teachers are also tasked with making LKPD outside of training hours, namely at home, to be presented in the training class the following day.
