Abstract

This study was motivated by the existence of illegal oil drilling activities that have been going on for a long time and pose a high risk to the safety of workers, even local residents. Even though oil well fires often occur and victims suffer from burns and even death, this activity still continues. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a case study type of research based on observation, interview and documentation data. Meanwhile, technical analysis is carried out through Narrative Analysis. The research results show that the phenomenon of drilling old oil wells in Buket Pala Village has been carried out for decades. Mining workers have been able to utilize available resources so that they have more economic value. The old oil well has become the lifeblood of the village community. It is good for the mining community as well as for residents who receive an abundance of oil proceeds from "oil melting" activities. Apart from that, the existence of mining old oil wells also poses dangerous risks such as work accidents, fires, explosions and even fatalities. Apart from that, pollution and environmental damage will also occur. The situation was made worse because the activity did not meet standard operational procedures or technical requirements for the mining process. Therefore, in the future, efforts will be made to manage old oil wells by village/regional companies, namely BUMD/BUMG and Village Unit Cooperatives (KUD). This is intended to achieve the aim of improving the welfare of the community evenly around the location as well as to regulate the business of extracting oil from old wells, so that the management of existing old oil wells will no longer occur illegal drilling and increase village income.

Abstract

Tourism development certainly cannot be separated from the role of the community as development agents who in principle have the same authority and responsibility as the government in managing tourism. This concept is known as community-based tourism, namely tourism management that promotes active participation from the community. This research aims to examine development efforts carried out by the community as a form of participation in the development of halal tourism in West Aceh Regency and analyze the obstacles faced in tourism management. This research is descriptive qualitative research. There were 9 research informants from three sub-districts, namely Samatiga, Johan Pahlawan and Panton Reu sub-districts. Data collection was carried out by means of interviews, observation and documentation studies. The theory used in this research is the convergence model of communication with seven indicators, namely information, uncertainty, convergence, respect, mutual agreement, collective action, and network of relationships. The results of the study show that community participation in tourism development efforts in West aceh district is still relatively minimal. This is because some people still think that tourism management is still the full responsibility of the government. The obstacles identified in the implementation of tourism development include the belief that tourism management is still the government's responsibility, the assumption that tourism practices can violate the rules of Islamic law, and the lack of community competence in tourism management so that special training is needed to be provided to the community by government.

Abstract

Indonesia has abundant potential resources which are very beneficial for society and can be developed into a tourist destination. One potential area is Tengklik Hamlet, Polokarto Village, Polokarto District, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java, which operates in the agricultural sector under the name Larasati Garden agrotourism. This research aims to examine James Coleman's social capital theory which can be implemented in the management of Larasati Garden agrotourism. A qualitative approach with a case study type was used in this research. The results obtained are that social capital plays an important role in the success and sustainability of agrotourism management. This social network was formed starting from agrotourism owners who actively built good relationships with the people of Tengklik Hamlet. Applicable social norms include aspects such as work ethics, compliance with rules, and environmentally friendly behavior. Trust built through transparency, open communication and consistency of action is the main foundation in maintaining harmony and success in agrotourism operations. The application of James Coleman's social capital theory has proven to make a significant contribution to the management of Larasati Garden agrotourism. Strong social networks between owners, local communities and visitors facilitate effective collaboration in maintaining operational sustainability and facility development.

Abstract

A name is a marker of a person's self in a social system. The Pegayaman Islamic Community is one of the Islamic communities in Bali. This Islamic society has integrated various elements of Balinese Hindu culture, including in its self-naming system. They use the naming patterns of the Balinese Hindu community. This research explores the naming patterns of the Pegayaman Islamic community which originates from the Balinese Hindu tradition. By using qualitative methods such as interviews, observations and literature studies, this research reveals that the naming system of the Pegayaman people uses birth order and gender like the Balinese Hindus. Typical Balinese names include Wayan for the first child, Nengah for the second child, Nyoman for the third child and Ketut for the fourth child. This name was then combined with an Islamic name. The naming pattern according to birth order resulted in the names Wayan Hasyim, Nengah Zakaria, Nyoman Imamulhayi and Ketut Muhammad. Names according to gender use the name Siti for women and Muhammad for men. This integration of Balinese culture reflects the inclusive attitude of the Pegayaman Islamic community in responding to conditions in Bali, fostering an attitude of tolerance and mitigating tendencies towards religious fundamentalism and radicalism.

Abstract

West Aceh is one of the districts in Aceh Province that prioritizes the agricultural sector in food crops. This can be seen from the number of food crop agricultural commodities in West Aceh that number 561 groups or reach 44% of the total number of other commodities. This research aims to describe the communication resource management carried out by the West Aceh district government using a convergence model approach. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation and documentation studies. The informants for this research were 10 people from the West Aceh Food Crops and Horticulture Department, PERHIPTANI, as well as farming communities. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the communication resource management efforts that have been carried out by the West Aceh Agricultural Food Crops and Horticulture Service as the implementer are to prepare planning programs according to farmers' needs in increasing rice yields, such as by prioritizing farmer group training. Furthermore, by preparing human resources (HR) that are appropriate to their expertise and field of work, this aims to make it easier to achieve goals. Implementation of program development is carried out directly, both with training and outreach aimed at farmer groups, however the involvement and participation of farmer groups is still relatively low.

Abstract

This article investigates the cultural pursuits of the local populace within the traditional Geurugok livestock market located in the Bireuen District of Aceh. The customary markets, at the very least, depict the communal engagements within the adjacent social sphere. Diverse social exchanges can foster relationships among community members during their time at the market. Through the utilization of the Ethnophotography approach, visual imagery is employed as a data source, categorized, and scrutinized to extract culturally significant meanings aligned with the contextual aspects of space and time. The findings of this study have yielded favorable outcomes, as the depiction of the cultural significance of the community's activities within the traditional livestock markets has highlighted the systematic arrangement of these activities. This interconnection is intertwined with the market's physical layout, which offers spatial and temporal patterns for the activities undertaken, ultimately forging a cultural environment that profoundly influences their lived experiences
