FOCUS AND SCOPE Enggang adalah jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Enggang dipilih sebagai nama jurnal ini karena kehidupan masyarakat Kalimantan Tengah tidak jauh dari alam, termasuk kedekatannya pada burung yang bernama enggang. Burung enggang merupakan simbol kebesaran dan kemuliaan suku Dayak di Kalimantan Tengah. Burung enggang juga melambangkan perdamaian dan persatuan, sayapnya yang tebal melambangkan pemimpin yang selalu melindungi rakyatnya. Ekor panjangnya dianggap sebagai tanda kemakmuran rakyat suku Dayak. Kaitannya dengan jurnal ini, tidak lain adalah mengambil makna filosofis kebesaran burung enggang agar jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya ini, nantinya menjadi besar yang akan dikenal secara lokal, nasional, dan internasional. Jurnal Enggang sebagai jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya merupakan salah satu wadah untuk mengumpulkan dan melestarikan kekayaan kita yang tidak ternilai harganya. Tentunya kekayaan yang berhubungan dengan pendidikan bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Jurnal ini hadir untuk siapa saja yang mencintai dan ingin berkarya di bidang pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Selain itu, kami sebagai pengurus jurnal ini bersedia memberikan bimbingan dan pelatihan untuk siapa saja yang ingin maju dan berkompeten dalam hal menulis karya fiksi maupun nonfiksi. Abstract

The research aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the 10th grade of SMA Negeri 1 Lareh Sago Halaban in an effort to achieve educational goals with character. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research data was obtained through interviews with teachers and students, classroom observations, and analysis of curriculum-related documents. The research subjects consist of teachers and 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Lareh Sago Halaban. The researcher collected data through interviews with teachers involved in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, classroom observations to observe the learning process, and analysis of documents related to the curriculum implementation. The results of the research show that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the 10th grade at SMA Negeri 1 Lareh Sago Halaban has provided a positive contribution in achieving character education goals. Teachers actively involve students in the learning process, give students the freedom to explore their potential, and promote the desired character values. Furthermore, students also benefit from the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. They feel more motivated and engaged in learning, have space for exploration and the development of creativity, and experience improvement in personal character formation. However, the research also identifies several challenges in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. Factors such as limited resources and uneven understanding among teachers can affect the optimal implementation of this curriculum. To improve the effectiveness of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, this research recommends training and mentoring for teachers to strengthen their understanding of this curriculum. Additionally, attention should be given to the development of resources that support the comprehensive implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the macro and micro structures as well as cognition and social context in the news coverage of "Could the Mario-Rubicon Case 'Destroy' Trust in Taxes?" in CNN Indonesia by using the critical discourse analysis approach of Teun A van Dijk. The method used is descriptive qualitative method, namely research that aims to present a complete picture of social conditions. In other words, this research aims to investigate and clarify a phenomenon or social reality. Data sources in this study are divided into primary and secondary data sources. The primary data source was obtained from an online news article entitled “Could the Mario-Rubicon Case 'Break' Trust in Taxes?” from CNN Indonesia, while secondary data sources are in the form of journal articles, book references, and other relevant documents and supports. The stages of data analysis in this study started from suspicion, classification, and data interpretation. Based on the research results, the macro structure in the news is the alleged case of showing off assets in the form of a Rubicon which was committed by Mario Dandy Satrio as the son of the Head of the General Section of the DGT Ministry of Finance South Jakarta Regional Office II which will impact public trust in paying taxes. In the microstructure there are elements, including coherence (including additive coherence, conditional coherence, differentiating coherence), denial, sentence form, pronouns, setting, detail, intent, lexicon, and graphics. The social context in the news is shown through the economic recovery after the start of the easing of Covid-19 so that matters related to finance and taxes become more sensitive among the public.

Abstract

The development of patriotism behavior is one part of several important points in character education. In the context of culture, art is an important and inseparable part of human culture. In fact, in a narrow view, it is not uncommon for people to interpret and identify culture as art. Art is one element of culture. Art is a very important part of culture. Art is an expression of creativity from the culture itself. The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze the art of angklung buncis in Cireundeu village as a means of developing patriotism behavior for elementary school students in Cireundeu village. For what factors cause angklung buncis in Cireundeu village to develop love for the country. This study uses qualitative research. The research subjects used in this study were parties who became informants for the research being carried out. The approach used in this study is a qualitative research approach, namely research conducted by collecting data, questions that have been prepared by researchers to solve the focus of the problems set in the research. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The Cireundeu tradition seeks to continue to preserve the art of angklung beans. One way is to introduce and maintain the tradition and invite the younger generation to always protect it by practicing playing the Angklung Buncis for ceremonial purposes or other purposes such as entertainment and performing arts.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of parenting styles on the formation of children's character based on the results of a literature study. In this study a descriptive method was used using a qualitative approach and data collection techniques using literature studies from national journals and other internet sources relevant to the research topic. The results of the study show that parenting style has a very important influence on the development of children's character. The type of parenting that parents do for children will form different characters in developing the child's potential. Some types of parenting styles include authoritarian parenting, democratic parenting, and permissive parenting.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the structure and local wisdom in legends in one of the tribes in North Sumatra. The purpose of this study is to analyze the legends of the nias and karo tribes. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The sources of data used in this research are journals, books, and internet sites related to the topics that have been selected. Structural studies include: theme, plot, setting, characters and characterizations, style of language, and point of view. The types of local wisdom include: Welfare and peace. In the legend "The Occurrence of Mado-mado (Marga) Nias" has a social theme about "genealogy, ancestry or origin of the Nias clan". The legend of "Turi-turin Si Beru Tole" has a structural study. The theme in this legend is "marriage". Because in the legend it is told how a woman wanted to get married and was introduced to other people who ended up being married to the village head. Local wisdom contained in the legend here there is peace and prosperity

Abstract

Reading and writing literacy needs to be developed as the main skill to achieve other skills. The results of this study aim to sort out learning media that are valid, effective, innovative, flexible, and efficient. The type of research used in this study is qualitative using descriptive analysis methods. This research was carried out by interviewing 1 informant from one of the elementary schools, as well as filling out a questionnaire/questionnaire with 6 respondents. Based on the information obtained through interviews and filling out questionnaires/questions, elementary schools have involved the use of technology/digital media in learning activities and literacy programs which are being intensified by the government. With the existence of digital learning media students can access reading books easily, so that the role of this learning media can significantly influence student independence in reading literacy activities.

Abstract

The research conducted aims to determine the extent of literacy and digital literacy of prospective elementary school teacher at one of the tertiary institutions in Purwakarta Regency. This research was conducted because it saw how big the teacher’s role was in the success of teaching and learning in the schools. Quality learning activities, of course, require the ability of educators and prospective educators who are competent. Through qualified teachers, students literacy skills in the future will be realized as expected. This study used data collections techniques by distributing questionnaires containing questions regarding understanding the concepts of literacy and digital literacy, as one of the competencies that prospective elementary school teachers must possess. The results of the questionnaire were filled out by a sample of 52 respondents, and it was proven by the fact on the ground that prospective elementary school teacher students were able to implement creative learning simulations so as to create interactive learning conditions with students inside and outside the classroom.

Abstract

Moral values ​​in literary works in the form of short stories usually reflect the views of the author concerned about moral values. Learning about morals can be obtained from the literary works we read. The purpose of this study is to reveal and examine the moral values ​​contained in a short story. This research is a document analysis research in the form of literature study. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research. The collected data is analyzed, identified, classified and described. The source of data in this research is a literary document in the form of an anthology of inspirational short stories "18 Uploading Stories" by Rora Rizky Wandini. data collection used in this study refers to the structural approach theory according to Levi-Strauss. The results of the study show that the form of values ​​in this short story includes: the form of moral value has three types, namely the first form of moral value in human relations with God has a variant in the form of praying to God, praying and being grateful, the second is a form of moral value in human relations with oneself has the variant of accepting God's destiny, not easily giving up, hard work, discipline and enthusiasm for learning, while the third form of moral value is human relations with other humans in the form of social care, helping parents and empathy. The data found in this study amounted to 33 data.

Abstract

The background of this research is that there are differences in the story in the After Met You film which was adapted from a novel with the same title. The purpose of this study is to describe the forms of shrinkage, addition, and variation changes that appear in the process of transforming a novel into a film based on ecranization studies using descriptive qualitative methods. The data sources for this research were the novel After Met You by Ari Irham and Dwitasari and the film After Met You directed by Patrick Effendy. Data collection was carried out by reading, observing, and noting techniques. Data processing is done by reading novels and watching films, noting changes, analyzing the forms of change, and describing aspects of these changes. The results of the research show that shrinking, adding, and changing variations that appear from novel to film are found in the characters, plot, and setting. The novel and film After Met You are different, but the theme, point of view, style of language, and message in the novel are still the same when they are filmed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare the novel Keluarga Cemara by Arswendo Atmowiloto with the film Keluarga Cemara directed by Yandy Laurens using the ecranization theory. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Based on the results of the research, in this novel and film there are shrinking, adding, and changing variations. This happens because novels and films are different types of literary works because the presentation of the media is also different. Usually, novels cannot be read completely at one time. Of course, it has to take quite a lot of time, whereas in the film, the duration is only about 120 minutes. This short duration makes the director have to shrink, add and change variations of the story to support the success of the novel he is adapting.
