FOCUS AND SCOPE Enggang adalah jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Enggang dipilih sebagai nama jurnal ini karena kehidupan masyarakat Kalimantan Tengah tidak jauh dari alam, termasuk kedekatannya pada burung yang bernama enggang. Burung enggang merupakan simbol kebesaran dan kemuliaan suku Dayak di Kalimantan Tengah. Burung enggang juga melambangkan perdamaian dan persatuan, sayapnya yang tebal melambangkan pemimpin yang selalu melindungi rakyatnya. Ekor panjangnya dianggap sebagai tanda kemakmuran rakyat suku Dayak. Kaitannya dengan jurnal ini, tidak lain adalah mengambil makna filosofis kebesaran burung enggang agar jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya ini, nantinya menjadi besar yang akan dikenal secara lokal, nasional, dan internasional. Jurnal Enggang sebagai jurnal pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya merupakan salah satu wadah untuk mengumpulkan dan melestarikan kekayaan kita yang tidak ternilai harganya. Tentunya kekayaan yang berhubungan dengan pendidikan bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Jurnal ini hadir untuk siapa saja yang mencintai dan ingin berkarya di bidang pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya. Selain itu, kami sebagai pengurus jurnal ini bersedia memberikan bimbingan dan pelatihan untuk siapa saja yang ingin maju dan berkompeten dalam hal menulis karya fiksi maupun nonfiksi. Melalui bimbingan dan pelatihan pasti gairah menulis para calon pendidik, para pendidik, dan para pecinta pendidikan, bahasa, sastra, seni, dan budaya bangkit dengan semangat membara. This study aims to provide knowledge and explain spelling aspects related to language errors in short stories for class IX students of Salsa Percut Private Middle School which have not been discussed in previous research. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. The analysis in this study is based on the fifth edition of Enhanced Indonesian Spelling (EYD) which was inaugurated on August 16, 2022. Based on the data collected, there are a total of 20 findings of language errors in short stories. Aspects seen in spelling errors, namely the use of capital letters, the use of affixed words, namely: prefixes (prefixes), suffixes (endings), infixes (insertions) and confixes (combined prefixes and suffixes), use of punctuation marks in student short stories. The number of internal errors found in the students' short stories was as follows: 6 capital letter errors, 3 affix words: 6 prefixes, 1 suffix, 0 infix, 3 prepositions, and 3 confix, 4 punctuation errors. These findings were collected in short stories by junior high school students in class IX.

The art of wayang performance is one of the traditional cultures of the Javanese people. As part of culture, wayang records the spirituality of the Javanese people as the artist. This study aims to determine the image of Javanese spirituality in wayang performances. This paper includes a qualitative-descriptive study. The data in this study are in the form of narratives about the spirituality of the Javanese people and history of wayang performing arts. The data for this study were collected using literature study, reading and note-taking techniques. The analysis model used in this paper is descriptive. Data that has been collected, reduced, then presented. The results of the study show that the history of wayang performing arts can be divided into three periods, namely the animism-dynamism, Hindu-Buddhism, and Islam. The charting period shows the development of the spirituality of the Javanese people. The history of wayang as a performing art seems to accompany the changes in the spirituality of the Javanese people, starting from totemism, polytheism, to monotheism.

This research aims to This research aims to provide an analysis of the short story: Dua Lembar Jilbab Buat Aisyah using the M. H. Abrams approach. In this study, the studies carried out are (1) describing the content of short stories; (2) analyzing the intrinsic elements of short stories: Dua Lembar Jilbab Buat Aisyah. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. The subject of this research is Short Story: Dua Lembar Jilbab Buat Aisyah by Maulana Satrya Sinaga. The data collection technique uses library and note-taking techniques. Library design is a technique for retrieving the desired information using the methods described. The results showed that in the short story Dua Lembar Jilbab Buat Aisyah Kraya Maulana Satya Sinaga tells the struggle of the main character who works in Japan, as well as his love story with aisyah, in the end aisyah married her own cousin. The characters in the short story are Fathir, Irwan, and Aisyah. This short story uses a mixed plot or flow.

This study aims to describe Norman Fairclough's social dimensions by using critical discourse analysis procedures. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique used was to record the data found from observations of discourse in the novel. About you by Tere Liye. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using the socially practical steps of the Fairclough critical discourse analysis method. The results and discussion in social practice are divided into three stages, namely situational, institutional and social. There are 31 data in the novel about you by Tere Liye.

Myth and ritual are understood as two things that cannot be separated from one another. The relationship between the two can be transformed in the form of positional relations which show a network of relations between figures and events, domains and characters in a model. Given the importance of myths and rituals in forming the structure of the mind of the Ma'anyan Dayak tribe, it is interesting to present an analysis with regard to syntagmatic and paradigmatic relations in the Ma'anyan Dayak traditional marriage ceremony. The purpose of this study was to gain knowledge about myths, the meaning of myths, and their relation to rituals performed by the Maanyan Paju Ten Dayak community. The data collection technique was carried out by hermeneutic reading. Data analysis was carried out by structural analysis, semiotic analysis and content analysis guided by the Levi-Struss structural approach strategy. The results of the analysis of syntagmatic and paradigmatic relations show that myth in naliwakas is a Ma'anyan human dialectic with social reality that contains the framework of a religious system which in the past or present has been or is being applied as religious truth. The rituals that are performed basically represent the arrangement of symbols that are objectified in myths. On the other hand, ceremonies in the Maanyan Dayak community are associated with magical acts and the cult of the ancestors as religious acts. Rituals that reveal historical and social relations by referring to mystical notions within the framework of constitutive rituals, in this way the traditional wedding ceremony becomes distinctive. Furthermore, the meaning associated with this relationship is nothing but purification and protection which is called factive ritual.

In any organization, there will be conflict. The principle is that the highest ranking official in the school, if appropriate to determine the circumstances that led to the dispute. The different ways concepts are interpreted, the conflicting goals and objectives that must be met, and the misalignment between the two caused by a lack of resources all work to the strength or shape advantage of one party at the expense of the other. The purpose of this research is to analyze the values of life found in the short story anthology "Kota Cerita." The research type used in this study is descriptive research, which aims to collect information about the current state of a phenomenon. The study systematically describes written data in the form of words, sentences, and paragraphs that indicate the content of life values and the forms of conveying these values in "Kota Cerita." The research revealed that there are several life values in the short story collection, namely education, leadership, simplicity, mutual cooperation, sacrifice, morality, and courage. These values were found in specific stories within the collection, as indicated in the table provided

One of the goals of entrepreneurship education at the tertiary level is to mold students into someone who is good at finding business opportunities according to the field they are in. As well as making this opportunity a new job field. However, the problem faced by students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, FKIP, UPR is the lack of skills and creative ideas related to self-development towards independent entrepreneurship. Learning in the Entrepreneurship course is limited to theory and developing theory into a design or design of entrepreneurial activities in the form of a proposal. Therefore, real practice is needed which involves students directly in related entrepreneurship (management and production processes) of a business. The purpose of this service activity is; 1) to increase the interest of students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program in entrepreneurship, 2) to increase the understanding of students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program regarding the management of the Tas Jinjing Kata business, and 3) to maintain literature based on Central Kalimantan local wisdom by students Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program in entrepreneurship.The method used in this community service activity is a process method which includes three stages, namely; 1) preparation, 2) implementation and 3) evaluation. The results of this community service activity are: 1) Implementation of entrepreneurship socialization activities for students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, 2) implementation of training and mentoring activities for the Word Tote Bag business through structured stages, 3) Tas Jinjing Kata products, and 4) media accounts social media as a means of product publication. Based on the results of the activity, it can be concluded that entrepreneurship training and mentoring activities are able to develop students' creative ideas and provide basic knowledge about the management of a business product

Bilingualism is a linguistic phenomenon which includes more than one language as communication tool. All of college students in PBSI FKIP UPR (Study of Indonesian Language and Literature from Faculty of Teacher Education and Training in University of Palangka Raya) came from various social backgrounds which make them bilingualists, where they are used to speak in other languages than Indonesian language as mother tounge, which are code-mix or code-switch. In this research, researchers found many reasons for this bilingualism phenomenon in all college students of PBSI FKIP UPR. The results of this research show: 1) There are 2 (two) bilingualism patterns which are diglossic bilingualism patterns, and not-diglossic bilingualism patterns. 2) Factors of choosing and using language of bilingualistic college students depend on the listener, and conversation topics and situations. 3) Challenges for college students of PBSI FKIP UPR as bilinguialists that they are often to experience miscommunications in formal, nonformal, and semiformal situations while communicating, more impacted by family environment, followed by friendship and college environment.

Turus Tajak is the ethnic term that describes the process of customary wedding ceremony among the Maanyaan Dayak of Central Kalimantan. The Maanyaan is one of Dayak ethnic groups of Central Kalimantan who occupy East Barito Regency. Historical of past experience of the Maanyan’s struggle and difficult lives has strengthened their solidarity and ethnic identity as one big extended family. These solidarity and ethnic identity are obviously seen and illustrated in their social lives wherever they live. One of their customary ceremonies that is still maintained until now is customary wedding ceremony named Turus Tajak. Semantically, Turus means a post or a pole, and Tajak means to set up a post or a pole in the water or on the ground. Symbolically Turus Tajak means to set up a strong basement for the new married couples to start and build their new household. There are two conditions described in Turus Tajak ceremony. The invited audiences alternately come forward in front of the couples and gives voluntary contribution(sum amount of money) and short advices on how to get together as new couples as well as how to build a new household. Turus Tajak ceremony, culturally binds all the Maanyan to be a big extended family.
