Introduction: Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest maternal mortality rates (MMR) in Southeast Asia with a rate of 189 per 100,000 live births based on the 2020 Long-Form Population Census. This figure needs to be significantly reduced to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) target of fewer than 70 deaths per 100,000 live births. Proper antenatal care, including the use of the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Handbook, plays a crucial role in reducing maternal mortality. Pregnancy care is vital to ensure fetal development, prevent pregnancy complications, and lower the risk of infant mortality during childbirth. Objectives: This study aims to conduct a scientific investigation to examine the relationship in the utilization of the MCH handbook with the level of maternal knowledge among pregnant women at the Tanah Kalikedinding Health Center. Methods: This observational analytic study used a cross-sectional design. The selection of 106 participants was carried out using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Spearman rho statistical test. Results: Among the respondents, 51 (48.11%) demonstrated adequate utilization of the MCH Handbook and 89 (83.96%) exhibited a high level of knowledge regarding daily care for pregnant women. The Spearman rho test revealed a significant relationship between MCH Handbook utilization and knowledge of daily care (p = 0.042). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the use of the MCH Handbook and pregnant women’s knowledge of daily care at Tanah Kalikedinding Health Center.

Sexual function can result in decreased quality of life for women as an important role in sexuality. Many studies focus on the quality of life, but have not revealed sexual function. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between sexual function and quality of life for cervical cancer patients. Methods: Quantitative research design using cross-sectional method. Sample selection using quota sampling technique with 60 respondents. The instruments in this study were FSFI and WHOQoL. Data processing and analysis using the SPSS program with Spearman-rank test. Results: The majority of respondents were adults (81.7%) and underwent multitherapy (73.3%). A total of 53 respondents experienced sexual dysfunction and 55 respondents had a good quality of life. The results of the Spearman rank statistical test showed that the p-value was 0.030 (<0.05). It can be concluded that there is a relationship between sexual function and quality of life and has a weak relationship strength. Conclusions: Sexual function is a factor related to the quality of life of cervical cancer patients. Therefore, nurses must be able to reveal the sexual function experienced by patients in providing more comprehensive nursing care so that they can improve their quality of life.

Introduction: Varicose veins are a manifestation of venous insufficiency syndrome where in this syndrome the blood flow in the veins experiences a retrograde flow direction or backflow towards the legs which then experiences congestion. Minimally invasive surgical therapy such as Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) causes pain, so therapy is needed to reduce pain, one of which is with cold compresses Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of cold compresses on pain Methods: The design of this study was observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach, using total sampling technique with a sample of 36 respondents. This research instrument used an observation sheet with a Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Data analysis with the Wilcoxon test with SPSS IBM Version 23Results:The results showed that most respondents (pre-test) were 23 (63.9%), while most (post-test) experienced mild pain 32 respondents (88.9%). The results of the Wilcoxon statistical test obtained a p value = 0.000, which can be concluded that there is an average difference between pre-test and post-test painConclusions: The application of cold compresses can help post-operative patients to reduce the intensity of pain, by giving cold compresses, patients who experience pain feel a cold sensation given using a cold pack on the area of the former operation or around the area of the former operation can smooth blood circulation, reduce post-operative edema that has been performed so that patients feel reduced pain after being given the cold compress

Objective : to identify dietary patterns and low physical activity, which contribute to the incidence of overweight in adolescents at SMK Minhajut Thulab Al Amin in Mesuji Regency. Method: Quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach . The study sample was 127 students with a random sampling technique . Data analysis used univariate and bivariate with the chi-square test. Results : That dietary patterns and physical activity independently and synergistically increase the risk of overweight . The combination of the two provides a stronger effect than each factor separately. Conclusion: There is a relationship between diet ( p-value 0.01) and physical activity ( p-value 0.001) with the incidence of overweight in adolescents in SMK Minhajut Thulab Al Amin. It is expected that adolescents will do physical activities more routinely and the importance of integrated interventions to overcome the problem of overweight, namely by improving diet and increasing physical activity simultaneously

Leadership is an important element and determines the smooth running of health services because leadership is the core of organizational management. Research using correlational analytics using a cross sectional approach emphasizes the time of measurement or observation of data on independent variables and dependent variables only once, at one time. The population in this study were 48 employees of the Selajambe Health Center. The sample used for research amounted to 43 people. The sampling technique used in this study was non-probability sampling. The data collection technique in this study was through interviews with the distribution of research instruments through questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The P Value obtained from the Chi Square test for asymp sig. (2-sided) is 0.000. This value shows the result of p <0.05 and means that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between leadership style and employee involvement in making decisions at the Selajambe Health Center.

Introduction: Menarche, the first menstruation, often elicits mixed reactions. Its occurrence is influenced by age and knowledge. Age shapes cognitive development and thinking patterns, while knowledge about menstruation affects perception. Limited knowledge and a decreasing age of menarche can hinder readiness for this milestone. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between age and the level of knowledge about menstruation with readiness for menarche among fourth to sixth-grade students at SDN Kertajaya, Surabaya. Methods: This observational analytic study uses a cross-sectional design with 63 fourth to sixth-grade pre-menarche students from SDN Kertajaya, Surabaya, selected via total sampling. Data were analyzed using Spearman's rho. Results: The study revealed a significant relationship between age and readiness for menarche (p = 0.003). The proportion of girls ready for menarche increased with age: 62.5% (9–<10 years), 73.1% (10–<11 years), and 100% (11–<12 years). The negative correlation (r = -0.364) indicated that readiness for menarche improved with increasing age. Knowledge level also significantly influenced readiness for menarche (p < 0.01). Most girls with good knowledge were ready (94.3%), while no readiness was observed among those with fair or poor knowledge. The strong positive correlation (r = 0.850) showed that better knowledge was associated with higher readiness for menarche. Conclusions: There is a relationship between age and readiness for menarche, and between the level of knowledge about menstruation and readiness for menarche among fourth to sixth-grade students at SDN Kertajaya.
