Abstract

Watorumbe Bata Village, located in Mawasangka Tengah, Buton Tengah, is home to a majority of residents working as farmers, fishermen, and weavers. Their woven products are mostly for personal use, but some are sold in local markets. The village has one high school, SMA Negeri 2 Mawasangka Tengah, equipped with advanced information technology learning facilities. These facilities enable students to acquire basic web programming skills, particularly in creating online shop websites. With the rapid growth of the digital economy, web development skills are becoming crucial for the younger generation to seize opportunities in the digital economy. This training program covers the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with an introduction to e-commerce concepts. Participants are trained to directly build simple yet functional online shop websites. The results show a significant improvement in students' programming abilities, highlighting the great potential of rural youth to excel in the digital field when provided with adequate resources and support. These skills are expected to help the weaving community in Watorumbe Bata Village market their products to a broader audience through digital platforms.

Abstract

The importance of the performance of the PKK cadre team can make it easier to achieve organizational goals. If these resources can be mobilized quickly, so that they can be used and the organization can run effectively and efficiently, it can be said that an organization's ability to fulfill its stated goals depends on teamwork in building a climate of collaboration.  This service aims to inspire the PKK women's group in Payageli Village to be able to manage their group more effectively and efficiently. The service was carried out by providing team performance training to the PKK women's group in Payageli Village.  The process includes observation, socialization, training, as well as monitoring and assessment as the final stage. The material offered is information regarding basic human resource management concepts, member recruitment and selection processes, human resource development, motivation and leadership and effective communication within teams. To help the PKK women's group in Payageli Village in managing the organization, creating a management structure, and developing the talents of PKK cadres, it is hoped that this can be carried out through this service activity. Based on the results of this activity, PKM participants gained knowledge and knowledge about how to improve the performance of the PKK team to be even better.

Abstract

Field Work Practice (PKL) has been carried out at Telkom Witel Denpasar from June 10 to August 9, 2024. This report discusses the procedures for implementing training on occupational safety and the environment at Telkom Witel Denpasar. Procedures related to occupational safety and the environment have been prepared but have not been realized in detail. With the procedures and understanding directly related to emergency response not yet being realized, training is needed to increase employee awareness and comply with existing regulations. The main objective of this activity is to provide understanding and provide knowledge about emergency response procedures related to occupational safety and the environment. With these problems, surveys and interviews were conducted in the field. Then, there is a method of implementation, namely conducting training related to occupational safety and the environment to increase awareness and practice of occupational safety and environmental management in the company. The training that has been carried out includes the use of personal protective equipment, fire and emergency evacuation simulations, emergency response procedures, handling hazardous materials, and waste management. The results of the implementation of this training show a significant increase in employee awareness, understanding, knowledge and the realization of established procedures which are expected to reduce the number of work accidents, reduce negative impacts on the environment and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Abstract

As a partner school, SMAN 3 Kupang Tmur, which is located in Kupang Regency, NTT Province, has several problems experienced by teachers and students for chemistry subjects, namely limited and inadequate laboratory equipment, the need for very minimal and insufficient practical materials so that activities Practicums are very rarely carried out due to the very expensive cost of materials, the unavailability of good and clear practicum guides, limited time availability from teachers due to the absence of laboratory assistants, and also insufficient laboratory space. Seeing these obstacles, in this activity teachers and students need to be provided with introductory chemistry practical activities because through practical activities they can increase students' knowledge and can provide illustrations or introduce important concepts of chemistry, train students to improve their reasoning, imagination and thinking skills. rational in seeking the truth, training students to apply scientific attitudes such as curiosity, perseverance, thoroughness, caution, objectivity, in dealing with all problems so that they do not easily believe in something that is not certain to be true, and making students more active in thinking and acting in their efforts search for truth or evidence of a theory being studied. Seeing the problems above and remembering how important practicum activities are in learning chemistry, practicum activities in schools will continue. The result of this activity is an increase in laboratory management skills and process skills by the students of SMAN 3 East Kupang.

Abstract

Educational institutions should be at the forefront in preparing every component in them to help maintain harmony between religious communities, bearing in mind that existing religious pluralism, if not managed properly, can become a suggestion of intolerance by certain elements of society. The team of lecturers and students of the Program Magister PAK – IAKN Kupang believes that there is a need for activities that can educate school components so that they can have high awareness to help maintain the culture of religious tolerance that has been maintained throughout the midst of the diverse society of SoE City, South Central Timor Regency. Therefore, PkM activities were held which aimed to strengthen the values ​​of religious tolerance with the theme of religious moderation education based on positive reinforcement at Christian High School 2 SoE, TTS Regency. The method used in implementing this PKM activity is Participatory Action Research (PAR) which is carried out by socializing the implementation of positive reinforcement-based religious moderation values ​​for 54 participants consisting of Principals, teachers, staff/employees, and students of Christian High School 2 SoE. The data collected through active discussions between IAKN Kupang lecturers and participants were then processed and analyzed reductively, thereby showing the results of PkM activities that teachers and students need to work together in implementing religious moderation values ​​such as non-violent behavior, upholding national commitments, and promoting religious tolerance. , which is stimulated/stimulated from within oneself so that each individual can naturally have a high level of awareness in carrying out these values ​​voluntarily and pleasantly as a character that is inherent in daily activities. The implementation of PkM activities by the team of lecturers and students of the Program Magister PAK – IAKN Kupang was seen as very beneficial and had a significant impact in increasing participants' awareness as measured by a satisfaction level of 3.68%.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has opened up opportunities for MSMEs to expand their product marketing through the use of e-commerce. However, many MSMEs in the fishery sector in Takalar Regency have not yet optimally utilized digital platforms. This condition encourages the need for efforts to increase digital literacy and the capacity of fishery MSMEs in online marketing. The Fisheries Agribusiness Study Program at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) conducted community service activities with the theme " E-commerce for MSMEs: Opening Global Market Opportunities through Digital Marketing". This activity aims to provide understanding to MSMEs so they can utilize e-commerce as a means of marketing and business development. The implementation method includes presentations, simulations, and question-and-answer sessions integrated with the practice of using e-commerce. The results of the activity indicate an increase in the understanding and skills of fishery MSMEs in utilizing e-commerce. The use of e-commerce is expected to help fishery MSMEs overcome marketing constraints, increase sales, improve the welfare of business actors, and support regional economic growth.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance vector-based graphic design skills and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for publication media among BPKPKK KAPal Community members. In the digital era, the demand for engaging visual content is increasing. However, many communities lack the necessary knowledge of graphic design to support their publications. This training uses a participatory and hands-on approach. Participants learn vector graphic principles using Adobe Illustrator and are introduced to AI technologies like generative AI and AI-assisted tools. The curriculum covers basic illustration, typography, color theory, layout design, and AI-assisted design automation. Results show significant improvement in participants' understanding and skills. They can now create professional posters, brochures, and social media content. Most participants found the training relevant and beneficial. This initiative empowers the community to independently produce quality publication materials and fosters digital literacy and creativity.

Abstract

Tamalanrea Village is one of the villages registered as a smart village, so it is hoped that all residents understand and are able to apply technology. However, the usefulness of technology in this society is still not optimal, due to the lack of outreach and seminars related to current technological developments. The implementation method for this service is by using the following method: (1) lecture, this method is used to convey digital literacy which provides understanding and explanation to the public regarding the use of social media and how to be wiser in its use among the local community. (2) Demonstration, this method is used for an effective learning approach, to help participants understand complex concepts and develop practical skills. In carrying out this activity, an evaluation stage is carried out which is a very important activity carried out in service activities as a benchmark for the extent of the participants' abilities after participating in the training. The results of this literacy and training enable the community and village officials to understand and understand the ways and methods that need to be used in using social media and current data processing technology.

Abstract

This training program aimed to enhance the skills of Tunas Jakasampurna School teachers in developing High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI). The training, involving 35 participants, utilized AI applications such as ChatGPT and Gemini to facilitate efficient question creation. Evaluation results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding based on the comparison of pre-test and post-test scores. Participants appreciated the interactive approach that combined theoretical learning with hands-on practice. Recommendations include conducting similar training programs regularly with broader coverage and post-training support to ensure the sustainable application of AI in teaching activities.

Abstract

This community service project aims to optimize the role of the interfaith youth generation in Bali in fostering tolerance and peace, particularly in the context of the digital era. As digital platforms become increasingly influential in shaping public discourse, it is crucial to harness their power for positive social change. The project will engage youth from diverse religious backgrounds, providing them with the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate online spaces responsibly. Through workshops, interfaith dialogues, and digital literacy training, participants will be empowered to promote messages of mutual respect, tolerance, and peace. The project will also focus on combating online hate speech and misinformation, while encouraging youth to use social media as a platform for unity and understanding. By nurturing a generation of digitally-savvy, tolerant youth, this initiative seeks to contribute to a more harmonious and peaceful society in Bali.
