Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are diseases that do not pass directly from one individual to another. WHO mentions that non-communicable diseases (NCDs), especially cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes, and chronic respiratory diseases are the causes of death in the world. Meanwhile, NCDs in Indonesia are the highest cause of death and are beginning to threaten adolescence. Prevention of NCDs in adolescents can help reduce the prevalence of NCDs in Indonesia. Because the risk factors that are possessed during adolescence will affect the incidence of NCDs in adulthood to old age. Knowledge or cognition is a domain that has a great influence on a person's actions or behavior. The purpose of this study is to analyze the knowledge and risk factors of adolescent behavior towards non-communicable diseases in the Bintan Regency area. This study uses a descriptive method with a cross sectional approach and data collection is carried out using a questionnaire. The research sample amounted to 219 students who were taken using quota sampling from Junior High School (SMP Negeri 1 Bintan, SMP Negeri 2 Bintan and Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri) in Bintan. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively. The results of the study showed that 44.2% of adolescents in Bintan Regency had a good level of knowledge about NCDs and a small part (10.3%) had less knowledge. Based on the behavioral description, 17.9% are at risk of NCDs, of which 50.9% are women. The results of the bivariate test showed that there was no relationship between knowledge and behavior, where the significance of the p-value was 0.174 (> α =0.05). Knowledge is a predisposing factor for behavior formation, therefore there needs to be an effort to increase knowledge about non-communicable diseases in adolescents in schools

Abstract

This research aims to map potential and formulate appropriate development strategies in the development of Sidan Dam as a green tourism-based destination that provides education and conservation of the surrounding nature. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through the analysis of natural, artificial, and cultural potentials that can support economic, socio-cultural aspects and reduce the impact on the surrounding environment. Data collection was conducted through field surveys, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and documentation studies. Sidan Dam has significant potential to be developed as an ecotourism destination that integrates environmental conservation activities and education in tourism. The concept is relevant considering the adequate natural potential and the development of supporting facilities. The development of tourism at the Sidan Dam needs to focus on educational tourism infrastructure that is still under construction, which can support learning about water resource management and the surrounding environment, as well as the development of nature-based tourism activities that are conservation-oriented and do not harm the environment. Abstract

Business resilience is an essential issue in entrepreneurship studies, especially in the tourism industry support sector in Bali. Dynamic and rapid changes in the industrial environment often threaten business sustainability, especially in the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) sector, the backbone of the Balinese economy. Although SMEs significantly contribute to the tourism sector, this sector remains vulnerable to change and has a relatively short business life. This study explores the factors determining business resilience in tourism-supporting SMEs by examining the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership, agility, collaboration, and resilience. This study uses a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis through SMART PLS 3.0 software. Data were collected from 261 SME entrepreneurs in the creative tourism industry sector in Bali through a questionnaire. The study results indicate that entrepreneurial leadership has a direct positive effect on agility and resilience. Other findings suggest that agility directly affects collaboration and resilience, while collaboration contributes positively to resilience. In addition, the study’s results suggest an indirect effect, where agility acts as a mediating variable that strengthens the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and resilience. At the same time, collaboration mediates the relationship between agility and resilience. This study makes an essential contribution to the Bali tourism sector by showing that entrepreneurial leadership, agility, and collaboration are key elements to increase the resilience of SMEs in facing industry dynamics. These findings provide practical insights for SME actors to strengthen business resilience through improving leadership skills, developing agility, and strategic collaboration to support the sustainability of the tourism sector in Bali

Regression equation and coefficient of determination (R2). The result of the coefficient of determination or (R2) is 0.629 which shows that 62.9% of employee engagement is influenced by perception of organizational support and job satisfaction. While 37.1% is influenced by other causes not examined in this study. the perception variable t count is 4.063 with sig. 0.000 <0.05, then the perception of organizational support has a significant effect on employee engagement. While for the satisfaction variable t count is 1.112 with sig. 0.271>0.05 then job satisfaction does not significantly affect employee engagement.
