Abstract

This study aims to develop a teaching material in the form of a textbook based on the local wisdom of tuak, integrated with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, for the topic of reaction rates in Grade XI MIA-2 at SMA Methodist-An Pancur Batu. The development model used in this study is the 4D model. The 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) is a systematic approach commonly used in instructional development to produce high-quality learning products. Based on the analysis, it was found that SMA Methodist-An Pancur Batu has implemented the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) at Phase F, but has not yet incorporated local wisdom into the learning process. Moreover, the textbooks previously used did not apply the PBL approach. In this study, a reaction rate textbook based on the local wisdom of tuak was developed in accordance with the Independent Curriculum, including Learning Outcomes (CP), Learning Objective Flow (ATP), and strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile. Validation results showed that the material expert's assessment obtained an average score of 3.83, while the media expert's score was 3.68—both categorized as valid and requiring no revision. Teacher responses to the developed textbook reached 95% (very good), while student responses were 93.3% (very good). Thus, this textbook is considered feasible and effective for use as a learning resource that incorporates local wisdom and is integrated with the Problem-Based Learning model in chemistry education at school

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi hidrokarbon dan belum adanya bahan ajar berbasis proyek berorientasi kewirausahaan kimia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan lembar kerja siswa berbasis project-based learning berorientasi chemo-entrepreneurship dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah dua kelas XI Fase F di SMAN 6 Padang. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan lembar kerja berbasis Project Based Learning berorientasi chemo-entrepreneurship , sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan modul ajar konvensional dengan metode Project Based Learning . Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket observasi berpikir kreatif dan lembar penilaian produk. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol, dengan kelas eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata skor akhir berpikir kreatif lebih tinggi (46,030) dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol (41,389). Oleh karena itu, lembar kerja siswa berbasis Project Based Learning yang berorientasi pada kewirausahaan kimia terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi hidrokarbon.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya literasi sains, kepercayaan diri (Self Efficacy) siswa dan kurangnya efektifitas model pembelajaran yang digunakan di dalam kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi model Problem Based Learning Terhadap Literasi Sains Dan Kepercayaan Diri (Self Efficacy) Siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan quasi experimental design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 118 siswa kelas X IPAS dan sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 58 orang yang terdiri dari 29 siswa kelas X IPAS 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 29 siswa kelas X IPAS 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil data antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai rata-rata posttest literasi sains dan self-efficacy yang lebih tinggi yaitu sebesar 82,76 dan 72,45 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 69,46 dan 62,72. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasi sains dan self-efficacy siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL)

Abstract

Methyl orange is a textile dye that is harmful to the environment so it needs to be treated. One of the treatments that can be used is the adsorption technique. Adsorption is carried out using an adsorbent, one of which is by utilizing banana peel waste which is used as activated carbon by adding 1 M HCl as an activator. This study aims to determine the optimum conditions for the adsorption capacity of methyl orange on adsorbents from activated banana peel valleys. The optimum conditions carried out in this study were carbonization temperature (400 - 4500C), drying time (2 - 5 hours) and contact time (80 - 120 minutes). These parameters are designed based on the optimization of the response surface methodology (RSM) which is then randomized using the Box Behnken Design method. The method used in this study is the adsorption method using an adsorbent with 6 ppm methyl orange adsorbate as much as 25 mL then analyzed using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The results of the study showed that the optimum condition was an adsorbent mass of 1.5 grams with a contact time of 100 minutes using the adsorbent at a carbonization temperature of 5000C and a drying time of 2 hours with an adsorption power percentage of 93.13%.

Abstract

The low scientific performance of students in learning chemistry is one of the main problems in education, mainly because the learning approach is still dominated by conventional methods and teacher-centered. Learning that does not actively involve students can hinder the development of critical thinking skills, problem solving, and students' scientific performance abilities. This study aims to develop students' scientific performance through the application of project-based worksheets in making edible film from jackfruit seed waste (Artocarpus heterophyllus). The research used a quantitative approach through the application of pre-experimental methods with a one-shot case study design involving 34 students of class XI majoring in Industrial Chemistry at one of the vocational high schools (SMK) in Cimahi City. The research instruments consisted of student activity observation sheets, project-based worksheets, and scientific performance assessment sheets. The results showed that student activity during learning obtained an average score of 97, worksheet work achieved an average score of 94, and student scientific performance of 92, each categorized as very good. These findings prove that the use of project-based worksheets can develop students' activeness, independence, and scientific abilities, and become an alternative solution to the problem of passive science learning in schools.

Abstract

During the learning process, teachers only use lecture methods and rarely use learning media. This is what makes students feel bored and consider chemistry learning very difficult to learn. Therefore, to increase students' interest in learning, learning media is needed, one of which is interactive learning media based on Adobe Flash CS6. This study aims to determine the feasibility, practicality and attractiveness of the Adobe Flash CS6-based learning media that was developed. This study uses the R&D (Research and Development) method with the ADDIE model which is limited to the Development stage. The instruments used are needs analysis questionnaires, validation sheets of material experts and media experts, practicality questionnaires, and media attractiveness questionnaires. The subjects of the study consisted of 4 chemistry teachers at State Senior High Schools in Langsa City and 90 students. The results of the study indicate that chemistry teachers need android-based learning media on electron configuration material, which is indicated by the results of the material validation feasibility questionnaire obtained an Aiken'V value of 0.879 and the media obtained an Aiken'V value of 0.926 with very valid criteria, the level of practicality obtained 90.41% with very practical criteria and the attractiveness of the media obtained a value of 81.85% with very interesting criteria. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that Adobe Flash CS6-based learning media is feasible to be used as a learning medium for electron configuration material.Keywords:, Learning Media, Adobe Flash CS6, Electron Configuration

Abstract

This research is an innovation in learning media development, by creating interactive media based on Articulate Storyline 3 on acid-base concept. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. Data were collected through validation sheets filled out by material and media experts, as well as response questionnaires involving teachers and students. The trial was conducted on 28 students of class XI IPA 2 at SMAN 2 Langsa. The validation results showed a score of 0.87 from the material expert and 0.93 from the media expert. In addition, the practicality results based on response questionnaires from teachers and students reached 90.4%. Thus, the interactive media that has been developed is declared feasible and practical to be used in learning acid-base concepts.

Abstract

Jambu merupakan salah satu buah yang mengandung vitamin C. Vitamin ini diperlukan untuk produksi kolagen, pembentukan tulang dan gigi, penyembuhan luka dan kekebalan terhadap infeksi. Vitamin C merupakan vitamin larut air yang mudah rusak oleh udara sehingga kondisi buah cabai harus diperhatikan agar mendapatkan kandungan vitamin yang cukup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar vitamin C pada buah Jambu air, Jambu kristal, dan Jambu biji. Metode yang digunakan adalah Spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Panjang gelombang maksimum vitamin C yang didapat yaitu 265 nm dengan absorbansi masing-masing 0,214; 0,989; 0,854, didapatkan hasil kadar vitamin C yang terkandung dalam Jambu air, Jambu kristal, dan Jambu biji berturut-turut adalah 0.418 ppm; 8.992 ppm; 7.498 ppm. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar vitamin C pada buah Jambu kristal lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan Jambu biji dan Jambu air.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low value oflearning outcomes of students in chemistry subjects, especially the material ofsalt hydrolysis and also never used Problem Based Learning-based LKPD onsalt hydrolysis material. This study aims to test how effective Problem Based Learning based LKPD on salt hydrolysis materialis on the learning outcomes of Phase F high school students SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang. The type of research used is quasi experiments with a non-equivalent control group design. The sampling technique usedpurposive sampling technique with two sample groups, namely class XI F3 as the control class and XI F4 as the experimental class. The control class was given treatment using teaching materials in the form of printed books with conventional learning models and in the experimental class was given treatment in the form of LKPD with Problem Based Learning learning models. The instrument used in this study was a written test question with a number of questions as many as 25 objective questions and 2 essay questions. In the research results of the independent sample t-test test with the help of the SPSS application shows the results that Thitung>Ttabel is 6.185>1.997 which means that there is a significant difference between the control class and the experimental class. So it can be concluded that the use of Problem Based Learning-based LKDP is proven effective in improving student learning outcomes on salt hydrolysis material at SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang.

Abstract

Peel-off masks are masks that are easy to apply to the facial skin. The bacterium Propionibacterium acnes is one of the bacteria that cause acne. Peel-off masks are one of the preparations that can be used to maintain skin health from acne. Kersen leaves contain active compounds such as flavonoids, polyphenols, tannins, and steroids. The group of secondary metabolite compounds flavonoids and polyphenols are useful as free radical scavengers. The kersen plant (Muntingia calabura L.) is a plant that is very easy to find in the surrounding environment. The kersen plant has various benefits, one of which is for treating acne. The use of cherry leaves as a base for facial masks results in a mask preparation without a distinctive aroma, thus requiring an innovation in the cherry leaf powder mask product to enhance its fragrance. One of the ingredients that has the potential to provide a distinctive and more appealing aroma is patchouli leaves. The purpose of this community service is to determine the quality characteristics of Kersen leaf simplicia after it becomes a mask and the addition of patchouli leaves. Then to find out whether the peel-off mask is liked by the community. The Service Method is using Laboratory Experiments and interviews (instruments and questionnaires). The results showed that the preferred type of mask had a concentration of 20%, and the students were very enthusiastic during the presentation of the material.
