Abstract

The current COVID-19 pandemic has created new environmental problems. The increase of medical waste due to increased activity in public health facilities is a new threat to environmental health. Unfortunately, not all health facilities have the capacity to manage their own waste. This causes the medical waste need to be taken to a waste treatment center for proper treatment that meets environmental health standards. Reverse logistics is one of the activities that can help the process of transporting medical waste. This study uses a vehicle routing problem with a time window (VRPTW) for multi depot cases. The limitations used in this study are the operational time of each Puskesmas, vehicle capacity and operational working hours of waste transport officers. In this case, the optimization of the cost calculation for the transportation of waste from 42 health centers in the DKI Jakarta area is carried out to be taken to three central locations for waste treatment. The purpose of the model used is to minimize transportation costs, namely fixed costs and variable costs of the vehicle used. The routes generated from this research are six transportation routes with a total distance of 412,31 km, with a total cost of Rp 5.928.498,75.

Abstract

The economic performance of a country or region can be shown through various macro variables, including unemployment. The labor market is one part of the economic sector affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in addition to the health sector. Tangerang Regency is one of the region in Banten Province which is known as an industrial area and has a relatively large workforce. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the COVID-19 pendemic on the open unemployment rate in Tangerang regency. This research method used are correlation analysis, Granger Causality and binary logistic regression model. Based on the results of the correlation analysis, it can be concluded that the district minimum wage (UMK) and the labor force have a significant and positive relationship with the unemployment rate and has moderate level of correlation, while based on the results of granger causality, it can be conclude that unemployment rate variable has a one way relationship with PDRB, UMK and the labor force. Variables that have a significant effect on reducing working hours during the pandemic are labor experience, experience squared, workings who work as argriculral, forestry, fisheries, operators and machine assembling workers, while the factors tha significantly affect the reduction in wages are labor status (married), age, age squared, profession (as manager, professional technician & assistant, service and sales personal, agricultural worker, forestry, fishery, processing worker, craft, machine operator and assembling, roug worker), essential sector and usage internet for work.

Abstract

The young workforce dominates Surabaya, the millennial group or generation Z. New normal during the COVID-19 pandemic, causing young workers to work from home (WFH). This study aims to formulate policies on how stakeholders can formulate policies that follow the needs of workers and the development of human resources (HR). The method used is quantitative with a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is the FWOQ scale, a 6-level Likert scale with 12 items given to 153 millennial worker participants. This research found that the millennial who did WFH due to the pandemic tended to experience difficulties. It is different from millennial workers who have been WFH since before the pandemic, which tends to be easier to handle. The barriers felt by the two groups tend to be the same, such as barriers-others, barriers-costs, and barriers-commitment. The originality of the research puts more emphasis on millennial workers who have the character of getting bored quickly, dynamically, and always wanting to be updated but face WFH. Research has also never been carried out in a more specific area, Surabaya.

Abstract

CV Pusaka Bali Persada Kopi Banyuatis (KB) is an industry that processes raw coffee beans into various ready-to-consume coffee products. CV KB experienced a number of problems that had an impact on decreasing competitiveness, such as; production activities not efficient, the occurrence of waste, care and maintenance of machines is less attention. This study aims to (1) identify waste problems and determine priority efforts for handling waste in the CV KB, and (2) analyze the increase in the effectiveness of lean production management in the CV KB. The method used is the analysis of AHP and TPM (5S work culture, eight pillars, and OEE). The results of the identification and analysis carried out, set priorities for handling waste defect (0,367) and over-processing (0,239). The increase in LPM is based on OEE calculations during January to March 2022, which is predicted to increase by 13,04 percent with availability values of 11,32 percent, performance 8,44 percent, and quality 1,57 percent. The prediction of the increase in OEE value that occurs when associated with the total sales obtained by the industry, can result in a prediction of an increase in sales profit of Rp1.552.662,800 for all products sold in 500 g packaging as many as 1890 pcs. CV KB can focus on improving the priority of handling waste, as well as maintaining the quality of machines and production facilities to increase the effectiveness of LPM.

Abstract

The national education standard index for three years at SIT Insantama in Banten Province tends to rise. However, since the COVID-19 outbreak, the index value has decreased. This study aimed to analyze the effect of organizational culture variables and retention programs on the performance of educators through the engagement of educators. The quantitative approach method is based on data sourced from questionnaires and observations are used. Data processing is assisted by SmartPLS software. The research population of 80 people is all SIT Insantama educators in Banten Province which are located in three locations, namely Serang City, Cilegon City and Rangkasbitung Regency. The results of the analysis show that organizational culture has a negative and insignificant effect on the performance of educators, the retention program has a positive but not significant effect on the performance of educators. Other findings show that retention programs and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on the engagement of educators. The engagement of educators also has a positive and significant effect on the performance as well as the engagement of educators. Abstract

This study aims to investigate and determine the effect of work from home on work engagement in Greater Jakarta for employees who have children during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study also tested work stress and work-life balance variables as mediating variables using a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach. The data used was obtained through a cross-sectional survey of 213 respondents who met the criteria, namely domiciled in Greater Jakarta, are employees who formally work in companies in Greater Jakarta, have or are currently working from home and have children. The results of this study indicate that work from home has a negative effect on the work engagement of employees who have children in Greater Jakarta during the pandemic. Furthermore, work-life balance mediates the effect between work from home and work engagement partially and is competitive. In addition, work stress does not mediate the effect between work from home and work engagement. However, in this study work stress has a negative effect on work-life balance so that the effect of work stress on work engagement can be through work-life balance. This research contributes to managerial implications that can be applied by organizations, managers, individuals and other interested parties related to the concept of work from home, work-life balance, work stress, and work engagement during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, especially in Greater Jakarta.

Abstract

The increasing trend of online shopping through e-commerce during the COVID-19 pandemic is also supported by the development of digital payment method, one of which is paylater. Paylater allows consumers to buy now and pay later in monthly installments. Paylater growth in Indonesia can encourage the development of the digital economy and is in line with sustainable development goals (SDGs) number 8, namely increasing inclusive and sustainable economic growth. This research aims to analyze the characteristics of paylater users in Jabodetabek, analyze the influence of psychological factors and financial literacy toward paylater misuse, and analyze the influence of psychological factors, financial literacy, and paylater misuse toward compulsive buying behavior. The sample of this research was 275 respondents of paylater users in Jabodetabek. The research sample was determined using the non-probability sampling method, types convenience sampling and quota sampling. Furthermore, the research results were analyzed using descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results of this research show that psychological factors, financial literacy, and Paylater misuse hAVE a positive and significant effect on compulsive buying.
