The aim of this journal is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the area of community services in schools. This journal focuses on the main problems in the development of the sciences of community services areas as follows: Education; Science and technology; Socio-economy and business; Cultural and society and many more. Jubaedah Journal managed by Faculty of Teacher Training and Education and published by LP2M, Bina Bangsa University, Indonesia. It is at the national level that covers a lot of common problems or issues related to community services.

Abstract

Sekolah Penggerak is a school that implements an independent curriculum. SMP N 4 Patuk is one of those who are included in the first batch. End of school year activities must provide reports on student learning outcomes and confirmation of grade promotion. The first batch of driving schools have not found examples or best practices in compiling the document. Thus, there is a need for mentoring and strengthening of the learning committee in completing grade promotion documents. This is the basic foundation for the implementation of service and is carried out through three steps, namely preparation, implementation, and closing. At firts stage, the team communicated for permits from both schools and universities. In addition, the service team prepares materials related to the preparation of learning outcomes reports. Next is the implementation stage, the team conveys the material and then continues with discussions. In the last stage, which is closing, the servant conducts a simulation of filling out report for the Projek Profil Pelajar Pancasila activities. The results of the service activities for the learning committee showed an increase in the understanding and enthusiasm of the teachers in driving the transformation of the Sekolah Penggerak

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to provide counseling on time management and to improve the discipline of elementary school students in Laban Tengah, Tirtayasa District, Serang Regency. The service method used is in the form of offline counseling which is carried out to grade 6 students at SD Laban Tengah totaling 49 students. The instruments used for evaluation are a questionnaire of student responses to counseling given after the counseling is completed and as well as a questionnaire of teacher responses to counseling given 2 weeks after the counseling activity is completed.  The data analysis uses the percentage of responses and determines the category of those responses. The results and conclusions of the counseling activities are: 1) the student response to the counseling  activity is 89%, which is classified as very good.  In other words, students consider counseling activities to make an excellent contribution to their knowledge of the importance of time management and discipline; 2)  the teacher's response to counseling  activities is 86%, which is classified as very baik. According to the teacher, there are changes in students' daily activities after this counseling, students can also make their daily schedules to get used to discipline

Abstract

Writing is an activity that is beneficial for both school and university students. Writing activities for students can facilitate the ability to innovate and be creative in expressing ideas or ideas. Scientific Writing (KTI) is one of students' competencies in writing. Mentoring students to write KTI has been carried out at SMU Al Muayyad Surakarta. The implementation of the KTI writing training activities for Al Muayyad High School students went well and received full support from the school. All training activities were attended by trainee students until the end of the activity with an enthusiastic attendance of 100%. In the process of mentoring activities, the participants were enthusiastic to ask questions, share ideas, and express opinions. This activity is an ongoing activity that will involve accompanying teachers to optimize their role in the preparation of scientific papers for students

Abstract

The signs of people who have skill of critical thinking are usually marked by the emergence of any questions in their effort to obtain information related to a phenomenon that appears and seek a solution. Some of the characteristics of person who thinks critically tend to have a mindset of perspective, objective, creative, sensitive, diligent and have a high curiosity. As a teenager going to growing up, high school students are required to be able to determine good or bad for everything. In addition, having skills of critical thinking can also help students in conducting research, making effective decisions and having high self-confidence. To gain all of that, then the provision of critical thinking skills is considered necessary. Critical thinking is a skill that can be trained. Based on this, the purpose of this dedication activity is to carry out a colloquium activity to provide knowledge to students about critical thinking and how to train it. Colloquium activity give a way to practice skill of critical thinking by asking any questions frequently and being a good listener. Even someone who si slow in thinking can also having skill of critical thinking by doing the exercise

Abstract

Stunting occurs in vulnerable children aged 0 to 1000 in the first day of life. The period of 1000 days is a period when children are vulnerable to indications of disease, both infectious and non-communicable diseases, as well as an increased risk of being overweight and obese. The graph of the prevalence of stunting under five in the Gunungsari sub-district, Serang Regency in 2018-2021 shows that there are 4 villages whose stunting prevalence has increased, namely Tamiang village rising 1.81%, Sukalaba village increasing 12.95%, Kadu Agung village increasing 5.31%, and Curug Sulanjana rose 22.16%. Parents' perceptions that emphasize the stunting factor are heredity which can cause a passive response or only accept the existing conditions; so that the child is forced to bear all the consequences of stunting for the rest of his life. This problem became the basis for socializing stunting prevention with the application of good parenting in Sukalaba village, Gunungsari sub-district, Serang district. The process of socialization activities goes through several stages, the first is observation, interviews, preparation and socialization. The conclusion of the socialization activity shows that there is hope for participants to carry out good parenting patterns to prevent stunting in children. The responses of stakeholders and participants after participating in this socialization activity varied, 1) The village office was ready to provide healthy meals per 1 month 2 times for children in Sukalaba village, 2) parents felt sad because they had spent precious time with their children, 3) parents feel grateful for being given the opportunity to participate in this outreach activity, 4) parents want to implement stunting prevention efforts for their families, and 5) posyandu cadres are ready to provide assistance for stunting prevention efforts in Sukalaba village. The hope is that awareness of the importance of stunting prevention can run in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

In the implementation of education for students at SMA Negeri 1 Paguyaman during the Covid-19 pandemic and after the Covid-19 pandemic, it turned out to have a major impact on the learning process for students at SMA Negeri 1 Paguyaman. Because most students still have limitations, both from the difficulty of getting a network and sometimes giving direct boredom to students at SMA Negeri 1 Paguyaman. The method of implementing community service carried out by the research team or community service team. Community service is carried out using a site survey method, providing materials related to online and offline learning and mentoring students and conducting evaluations. The purpose of implementing community service is to provide assistance to students at SMA Negeri 1 Paguyaman in the implementation of online and offline giving. The results of community service can provide encouragement to students at SMA Negeri 1 Paguyaman in making good use of online and offline learning. Especially in the face of increasingly developing technology.

Abstract

College libraries have the task of supporting the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education, one of which is community service. In this case the library also carries out the task of collecting, processing, storing, presenting and disseminating information to the public. That is, the library has a role in building the literate generation. An effort is needed to program activities that can improve capabilities in the field of information retrieval. It is on this basis that this library-based community service activity is carried out. This activity was carried out with the literacy socialization method as well as a library tour or library tour targeting all new students in the UIN KH Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan environment with the aim of gaining basic literacy skills in their academic life. From the results of the service, it was found that this activity was well received and had benefits that could be felt directly by the participants of the activity. This means that efforts to increase literacy actually need to be framed in an integrated movement, not partial, individually or determined by certain groups but must be collaborative

Abstract

Knowledge of qualified religious insights and strong general knowledge is a solid provision not to be exposed to radicalism. In fact, the religious insights taught in schools are not sufficient to ward off the spread of radicalism among adolescents at the high school level. So what efforts should be made to maximize efforts to counteract radicalism in high school adolescents? The purpose of this service is to contribute to preventing the spread of radicalism among high school adolescents. The method of implementing community service is carried out in several stages such as the stages of observation, coordination, preparation, implementation, reporting and publication. Based on the results of community service that has been carried out, it is found that the efforts that must be made in order to prevent the spread of radicalism are through strengthening religious insight through teachers who have a clear sense, strengthening the spirit of patriotism and nationalism through extracurricular activities and classroom learning, and not forgetting mentoring. From the teachers and parents regarding the reading and socializing of these teenagers

Abstract

Schools become the real and best environment for students as prospective teachers to gain various experiences. This condition is to maximize and test various learning theories that exist during college at university. The purpose of this activity is to assist final year students from the Mandalika Mataram University of Education in participating in the Preschool Environmental Introduction program at MA Plus Nurul Islam Sekarbela. Mentoring activities are carried out through three stages, including preparation, implementation, and evaluation. This activity was attended by 8 students who are currently in their final semester. The results of this activity show that the mentoring process really helps students in getting to know various things related to the school environment. In addition to students, this activity also provides more experience for accompanying teachers to be able to transfer knowledge and experience that they have previously had to students as future teacher candidates

Abstract

During the covid-19 pandemic, learning was carried out in accordance with the principles contained in the Minister of Education and Culture Decree No. 4 of 2020. The Minister of Education and Culture has also made various innovations in developing the educational curriculum, namely the Independent Learning Curriculum. The existence and role of information technology in the education system has brought about a new era of development in the world of education, but these developments have not been matched by an increase in human resources. This service program is in the form of distance learning evaluation training and the creation of an independent curriculum-based website at SDN 5 Karangsari. The event began with the provision of material on the independent learning program followed by workshops and learning evaluation training that supports independent learning such as Quizizz and Kahoot. The solutions offered for partners are the Service Team developing the making of practical IT-based learning evaluations so that they can improve the quality of teachers and create a pleasant learning atmosphere in accordance with the independent learning program, foster student interest in technology, and provide teaching to teachers in making Cognitive questions based on Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). In addition, the Service Team also teaches the management of school websites for the benefit of providing information to the public about SDN 5 Karangsari
