Abstract

The Tunas Baru Farmers Group in Muara Siban Village is one of the farmer groups that has a large area of land to produce good vegetables in the city of Pagar Alam, but the wider the agricultural cultivation area, the higher the need for fertilizer and pesticides, coupled with the high price of fertilizer. causing agricultural yields to decline. Apart from having agricultural land, this farming group also has quite a lot of rabbit livestock, but rabbit urine which is rich in nitrogen has not been used as an alternative fertilizer for agricultural land. Rabbit urine liquid organic fertilizer (POC) is urine waste from rabbit farms that contains nutrients that are good for plants and can be used as an alternative treatment. The treatments used are several concentrations of rabbit urine, and a combination of urine with inorganic fertilizer. Rabbit urine is fermented before use by mixing EM4/Yakult as a probiotic, brown sugar/granulated sugar and 5 liters of rabbit urine. The experimental results showed that there was an effect of using fermented rabbit urine on leaf area, root volume and dry weight of cocoa seedlings at the age of 16 WAP. P The conclusion in this service is that by reducing the use of inorganic fertilizers to <50% and adding Rabbit Urine POC, it can have an influence on celery plants so that at the age of 2, 3 and 4 WAP, the difference in rabbit urine concentration treatment has a statistically significant effect. on the number of celery leaves. Furthermore, entering the plant age of 5 WAP, it was seen that the differences in treatment given had a statistically insignificant effect on the variable number of leaves. And this Rabbit Urine POC has proven successful in making celery plants grow well and develop well so that they can be marketed/used by other farmers

Abstract

Posyandu Ngadi Asih is one of the Posyandu for Toddlers in the Kadipiro Village area, Banjarsari District, Surakarta City and is included in the Targeted Area of ​​Gambirsari Health Center, Surakarta. Posyandu Ngadi Asih has a cadre of 15 people and has implemented 5 posyandu service desks but is not yet optimal. The problems found at the Ngadi Asih Posyandu were that recap records of growth and development examination data were often lost, notes were tucked away and not neat, some data was not written down, some data was missed and incomplete. The root of the problem is that the recording of growth and development inspection results is still manual (paper based) by filling out the register book. Apart from that, it cannot be concluded whether the condition of the child's growth and development is normal or requires intervention, and an examination of the child's development has not been carried out due to the limited capabilities of the cadres. The solution offered by this program is the implementation of the Toddler Growth and Development Information System (Situmbang) and training in the use of the SDIDTK (Early Growth and Development Intervention Detection Stimulation) instrument. The implementation method with 6 (six) main activity stages, namely preparation, apperception, training, mentoring, evaluation and termination. The results of the program for implementing the Toddler Growth and Development Information System (Situmbang) at the Ngadi Asih Surakarta Posyandu have gone well. There is an increase in the skills of cadres after the activity is carried out, although not in its entirety. Some cadres still need assistance from skilled cadres. The Toddler Growth and Development Information System (Situmbang) is ready to be implemented at the Ngadi Asih Posyandu. The cadres are committed to implementing and implementing the results of this program in every posyandu activity and when providing support for Toddler Family Development

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to improve the empowerment of fishing communities in Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency through the implementation of a fisherman logbook system (celebesreeffish.com). During the implementation of this PIPK Program, the results obtained include significant adoption by fishing communities of the fisherman logbook system, increased efficiency in recording fisheries catches, increased understanding of ornamental fish species, and increased collaboration between fishermen and local governments in maintaining the sustainability of marine resources. This activity is a form of supporting the vision and mission of the Pangkajene and Islands Regency Government in realizing a prosperous, superior, competitive, and religious civil society, based on sustainable local resources, especially in marine/fisheries-based community economic development, which is one of the Government's priority programs. This program strengthens the role of fishermen in conserving marine resources and improving their quality of life, in line with sustainable development goals

Abstract

Empowering the community through creative economic activities is considered suitable to be applied in developing the economic sector in order to realize the welfare of the Puungkoilu Village community. Based on the analysis of the problem situation, it has been found that the potential and role of the community in the economy based on local resource utilization have not been optimized. Therefore, the goal of this service activity is to enhance the potential and role of the community in locally-based creative economy using local resources in Puungkoilu Village. The implementation of the activity involves three stages: (1) preparation stage, (2) implementation stage, and (3) evaluation stage. The results of the socialization, training, and mentoring activities in locally-based creative economy can enhance the potential and role of the community in the locally-based creative economy in Puungkoilu Village. Furthermore, community engagement activities like this should continue in Puungkoilu Village, considering the numerous local resource potentials that can be maximized, such as potentials in the agricultural and plantation sectors, as well as inviting practitioners who are relevant to these fields

Abstract

The purpose of implementing this service is to provide motivation and enthusiasm for MSME actors to do entrepreneurship, increase the creativity and innovation of MSME actors, and provide knowledge about the importance of recording financial transactions through simple bookkeeping. This activity was carried out in order to help solve problems for novice entrepreneurs in managing their business. The form of this service activity is training (workshop) related to entrepreneurship and financial management issues which was attended by 30 activity participants. In the implementation of the training materials, practice was inserted on how to become a successful entrepreneur and the practice of keeping financial reports. Furthermore, to further solidify the material, the final session was opened for questions and answers and discussion. The suggestion from this activity is that there is a need for further assistance in the field and control over the implementation of entrepreneurial management activities

Abstract

Violence against children is a serious problem and a worldwide issue. Data from KPAI (Indonesian Child Protection Commission), in 2022 there were 834 cases of violence consisting of 400 cases of sexual abuse (47.96%), 395 cases of rape (47.36%), 25 cases of same-sex sexual abuse (2.99%) ) and same-sex rape 14 cases (1.68%). Most sexual violence was at the age of 5-17 years with the highest areas being West Java, DKI Jakarta, East Java, Banten and North Sumatra. In West Java in 2022 the number of sexual violence reached 420 cases and 26 of them occurred in the City of Tasikmalaya. Based on this, it is necessary to provide information to provide an understanding of sexuality with appropriate media and methods for early childhood, one of which is an activity book that contains information about sexuality education. This information can be provided by parents, teachers and health workers. The results of the activity show that there is an increase in early childhood knowledge about sexual education and an increase in the knowledge of teachers and parents regarding the importance of sexual education in early childhood. The conclusion from the activities that have been carried out is that sexual education is important to be given to children from an early age to protect children from sexual violence that might occur

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted in the form of a public lecture on keys to successful academic writing with the English Language Education Study Programme of Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) Toraja being the partner of the community service programme. The public lecture was conducted on-site at the main hall of UKI Toraja Campus 1, lasted for a total of three hours and was attended by 191 students and several lecturers. Among the key contents of the lecture was the reminder to ensure that each paragraph only contains one main idea and to resist the desire to put too many ideas in one paragraph. Furthermore, the lecture also introduced the concept of sandwich paragraph structure and several Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to help the participants organise their writing. From the online questionnaire distributed at the end of the session, it was found that the duration of their study did not significantly impact their foreign/second language (L2) writing proficiency. Despite the possible limitations, the community service activity was a success and some aspects to improve are identified for the improved quality of future programmes

Abstract

The fisheries sector has a significant influence on the development of the Indonesian economy. Aceh waters have quite large potential for marine and fishery resources. The aim of empowering the Kuala Bubon village community is to help fishermen to be able to make the most of capture fisheries resources and integrate fishermen. The method of implementing community empowerment in the village of Kuala Bubon is carried out entirely in the field (offline). The activity of installing ijok FADs, starting from outreach to training on making ijok clumps and installing ijok FADs has been successfully carried out. This service is very useful for fishermen and adds to the knowledge of fishermen in catching fish

Abstract

A teacher needs to improve educational competence in order to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. One way to do this is through Classroom Action Research (PTK). Based on the results of observations and interviews at SD Nusa Cendana International Plus School (NCIPS) Kupang, it is known that there are many teachers who do not understand the practice of implementing PTK, its benefits in implementing the teaching and learning process, and how to implement PTK practically. Therefore, the San Pedro University Community Service Team (PKM) is interested in providing PTK training to NCIPS Kupang Elementary School teachers. The PKM was carried out on May 13-14, 2022 through 3 stages, namely the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The results showed that the PTK training at SD NCIPS Kupang was able to have a positive impact on teachers, especially in understanding the implementation of PTK. In addition, the participants who participated in the activities were very enthusiastic and cooperative

Abstract

Manual crushing of ice cubes has the result of breaking each ice cube is not the same. This can affect the preservation process. The methods used in this service are first survey and observation, machine development, evaluation, socialization, and mentoring. The survey activity was carried out in Sukonatar Village, Srono District, Banyuwangi Regency, with the target object being the Mr. Edi Sugara Poultry Slaughterhouse. The result of the survey of problems experienced by poultry slaughterhouses is the lack of knowledge and understanding of partners about ice cube crushing technology. Then the second activity continued on engine development (Ice Crusher Machine) and engine evaluation. This activity produces machines with a capacity of 300 kg / hour. The next activity is socialization and mentoring of partners. In the duck preservation process, a span of 1 month, partners can make cost efficiencies of Rp 300,000 and 10 hours in the ice crushing process
