Abstract

Color is one of the parameters in seletecting rambak products. When displaying in market, rambak cakar products are often found with heterogeny colors. One of the Home Industries (IRT) of rambak in Klaten city experienced a heterogen color problem which resulted in fluctuations in product sales. This community service program aims to provide information and training on the addition of lime paste as food addictive to improve the color quality of rambak cakar. The methods used in this service include; 1) Socialization, 2) Training, 3) Evaluation. From the socialization, it was found that the owners and employees in the production division understood howto use and apply lime paste as food addictive. The training (practice) stated that the addiotion of 2% lime paste had an effect on the rambak cakar’s brightness. At the evaluation stage, it was seen that the value of the paired comparison test on 20 panelists regarding the color characteristics of rambak cakar was 19 at the t level 1%, which indicated that the color produced were different

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity was carried out at SDN Kebunagung II, Sumenep City District, Sumenep Regency, East Java Province. The purpose of this PKM activity is to improve teachers' ability to create learning media using technology so that teachers are able to create an active learning environment through digital comics as a learning medium in helping teachers deliver material at the Elementary School (SD) level in the Independent Curriculum, and aims to solve the problems of teachers at SDN Kebunagung II in maximizing students' digital literacy and numeracy competencies. This training activity is divided into 3 stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the post-implementation stage. This activity helps teachers at the elementary level, especially teachers at SDN Kebunagung II to understand the use of technology as a learning medium. Based on the results of the activity, it is known that teachers are very enthusiastic about using technology-based learning media in the form of digital comics. It can be concluded that this service activity was carried out well in accordance with the expectations of the service team and the participants, where teachers already understand how to implement technology as a form of learning media at SDN Kabunagung II

Abstract

The majority of MSME actors in Pesanggrahan sub-district, South Jakarta are mothers who do not work and have no other activities apart from being housewives. Usually they have businesses other than being housewives, namely producing food, drink and handicraft products. The majority of these mothers do not have sufficient education to start an entrepreneur. Marketing is only carried out traditionally or conventionally in the area, so that most of the products are only sold in the area where they live. To make their business grow, they need to promote the products they have produced so that these products can be marketed widely. The aim of this training program is to provide knowledge and business skills to business actors while utilizing the Canva application to promote online, so that MSME products can successfully enter every market in Indonesia. The training material explains how to create a landing page design using the Canva application using a smartphone. Most of the MSME mothers do not understand and master the use of smartphones and are included in the group of people who are unable to use technology, so the team of lecturers from Budi Luhur University who in this case participate as companions for the mothers in supporting them to expand their business by providing training on creating Canva landing page designs. Training is carried out face-to-face at the Computer Laboratory of Budi Luhur University. In this training, participants directly practice in front of a computer and also use the smartphone they own. At the end of the training session participants were asked to fill out a questionnaire containing the results of the training they attended. From the evaluation results, 100% of the training participants stated that the training material would be useful in the future and 82.6% stated that the resource persons/facilitators presented material that was easy for the participants to understand

Abstract

Less than optimal use of teaching aids is an indicator that the learning process is still conventional. Visual aids are media that can help teachers to visualize something so that it can be understood by students. The aim of this activity is to provide training in order to improve teacher skills through education on optimizing the use of teaching aids to support learning in schools. This activity was carried out at SMP Negeri 2 Tinambung, the activity participants were subject teachers. This activity method consists of three stages, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. Planning begins with observation to find out the problems faced by partners. Then proceed with the implementation, namely providing material, and evaluation in the form of a questionnaire which aims to measure the increase in participants' knowledge as well as reflection to find out the weaknesses and shortcomings of PKM activities. As a result of observations, it was found that partners still did not understand and were not optimal in using teaching aids, so this training was deemed necessary. Providing activity material using methods are lectures and demonstrations. The evaluation results show that there has been an increase in participant knowledge from 65% to 90%. This means that this activity has been proven to increase participants' knowledge and experience

Abstract

The community service activity entitled Creation of Busana Carnival Cakrapalah Choreography and Makeup Training in Kecamatan Kesamben, Kabupaten Blitar, was completed for 2 (two) days, namely on Saturday and Sunday, 29 and 30 July 2023 at the Kantor Kecamatan Kesamben, Kabupaten Blitar, Jawa Timur. This training activity has resulted in a Busana Carnival with the theme "The Power of Cakapalah". The theme of the Busana "The Power of Cakrapalah" has innovative and creative new ideas, so that the people of the masyarakt desa Kesamben, Kabupaten Blitar. Have new competencies as busana carnival creators. Busana Carnival production training will be carried out in stages: include designing busana, designing headwear, designing accessories for chest necklaces, sleeves and legs. The output targets of this activity are the design results of carnival dress designs from Cakrapalah motifs, products made by design, fantasy makeup training, and choreography

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program was implemented in the Murakabi Women Farmers (KWT) group under the Gapoktan of Kenteng hamlet, Puntukrejo Village, Karanganyar Regency. As a village that produces purple cassava, mothers are creative in making products from purple cassava. The problems found include: 1. There is no legality regarding the product. 2. There is still no certification regarding the halal status of the products sold. 3. lack of knowledge about packaging. 4. lack of ability to create a business profile. 5. lack of knowledge in online marketing. 6. lack of knowledge of labeling and trademarks. The method used is by conducting training and mentoring from May to October 2023. The results of the activities include: 1. increasing partner knowledge in online management and marketing. 2. increasing the skills of trading partners in packaging. 3. increasing partner empowerment regarding product legality and certification. The implications of this service are expected to increase partners' knowledge and provide added value in business development

Abstract

Sendangtirto Village is located in Kapanewon Berbah, Sleman D.I. Regency. Yogyakarta has an artificial reservoir/lake. The main objective of building a reservoir is to provide a conservation area and irrigation of rice fields. The existence of harvest sales activities through an auction system and the construction of joglos and gazebos around the embung, make the Sendangtirto embung worthy of becoming a tourist destination. Currently, the existence of the embung is not yet known to the wider public, besides that the public facilities available are still minimal. The PKM team took the title "Implementation of a Solar Charging Station and Digitalization of the Harvest Auction System to Increase the Number of Visitors at Embung Sendangtirto" and hoped to be able to overcome this problem. The Solar Charging Station was chosen because it uses renewable energy sources, is environmentally friendly and economical. The design is simple and easy to implement and operate. Meanwhile, to overcome the problem of the number of visitors, training and assistance will be provided in creating content on social media as a means of promotion. In addition, there is a need to create a digital harvest auction recording system. Through this PkM activity, it is hoped that it can provide education on the use of renewable energy for the community, increase horticulture sales from farmers and increase the number of visitors at the Sendangtirto reservoir.

Abstract

In everyday life, energy is a crucial factor that supports human survival. Energy is a non-renewable resource, and energy supplies dwindle over time. Therefore, if this situation continues, humans will lose access to energy sources. Coconut shells have been chosen as an energy alternative because they have a high calorific value when compared to other biomass sources. This program involves Bumdes and PKK women in Lapa Laok village with the aim of training them in making briquettes from coconut shell waste. The results can be used as a fuel source to replace kerosene and gas, as well as creating business opportunities for unproductive residents. This training was carried out by presenting material and practice on how to process coconut shell waste into briquettes using a simple method. This activity has a double benefit, namely training people to convert coconut shell waste into briquettes which have economic value and can be used as fuel to replace kerosene and gas

Abstract

Durensari Tourism Village in Sawahan Village, Watulimo District, Trenggalek has a lot of tourism potential. Currently, the village community only focuses on river tourism, but actually there are many other tourist attractions in the village. The UPN Veteran East Java community service team held training and simulations of tourist attractions using GIS (Geographic Information System). With GIS technology, it is hoped that we can analyze the spatial aspects of an area to develop tourism potential into an object with optimal attraction so that it can attract the attention of both domestic and foreign tourists. Apart from that, more tourist attractions will help managers in compiling tour package service products. Based on the results of identifying tourist attractions in Durensari Sawahan Tourism Village, there are 3 types of tourist attractions in Durensari Village, namely Natural Tourism Attractions, Cultural Tourism Attractions, and Artificial Tourist Attractions. After conducting field visits, 10 new tourist attraction locations were identified which were then mapped using GIS technology. The next step is to increase participation from Pokdarwis Durensari members in managing tourism potential to become a tourist attraction which is then packaged in the form of tour packages that can be offered to tourists. The variety of existing tourist attractions can be an opportunity and strength for the Durensari Tourism Village to attract tourist visits

Abstract

This community service activity focuses on "Empowering a Creative Economy Made from Rattan and Coconut Shell as an Effort to Support the Family Economy" in rural areas. This program aims to improve the economic welfare of families by utilizing local resources. Program steps include skills training, product planning, raw material procurement, production, marketing and business management. The program results include creative products such as baskets made from rattan and vegetable ladles made from coconut shells. The impacts include increasing family income, product diversification, community empowerment, use of local raw materials, increasing social welfare, and market development. Overall, this program proves that creative economic empowerment initiatives can be an effective solution for improving the economy of rural families while supporting environmental preservation and social welfare. These findings have positive implications for developing similar programs in other rural areas
