Abstract

Qiyas is one of the source Islamic law which is of a nature rational and have role important in development Islamic law in particular in answer problem contemporary that is not in a way explicit mentioned in the Qur'an and Hadith. this article aiming For analyze relevance and validity the use of qiyas in determination law to modern issues such as digital transactions reproduction artificial, and development technology financial, through approach principle fiqh. Research This use method qualitative-descriptive with approach normative as well as study literature to works classic and contemporary in field principle fiqh . Results of the analysis show that qiyas remains relevant as instruments of ijtihad in respond dynamics social and contemporary developments during fulfil conditions for valid qiyas according to the scholars. With Thus qiyas does not only functioning as tool complement but also as means important in guard flexibility and sustainability Islamic law in the modern era.

Abstract

Language has an important role in daily life, especially for communication between humans, including in buying and selling activities on social media, therefore the researcher conducted a study to reveal how the form and meaning of argot develops in the motorcycle buying and selling forum on Facebook, as well as how its use plays a role in strengthening social dynamics and community identity and this study aims to describe the use of argot in the motorcycle buying and selling forum that available on the Facebook platform. Argot, as a special form of language used by certain groups, in addition to this study is also to help members of the motorcycle buying and selling community to improve their strategies in terms of buying and selling and help increase knowledge for ordinary people, Through the study of sociolinguistic studies, this study examines the forms and meanings used by forum members, as well as their implications for social dynamics and interactions between members. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach and content analysis from posts in the facebook forum for buying and selling CB/GL/TIGER motorcycles in the Purbalingga, Banjarnegara and Purwokerto areas. Data was collected through the ability to see and record techniques on posts and buying and selling interactions in the forum. The results of the study show that the use of argot in this forum not only serves as an effective communication tool, but also as a symbol of identity and solidarity of the motorcycle loving community. Researchers found 16 forms of argot and divided into 3 types, namely the discovery of 5 phrases, 12 abbreviations, 3 sentences. These findings confirm the importance of understanding the role of language in the formation and maintenance of online communities, as well as provide further insights into sociolinguistic dynamics in the digital realm.

Abstract

This study evaluated whether assigning student-created video blogs (vlogs) could improve English language proficiency and engagement in an Information Systems ESP course. Thirty undergraduate Information Systems students completed a series of individual and group vlog projects on technical topics (e.g. “Introduction to Information Systems”). Data were collected via standardized pre- and post-speaking tests, semi-structured interviews, and a student survey at the end of the semester. Speaking test scores improved substantially (mean gain ≈ 47.5%), with notable advances in fluency, pronunciation, and use of domain-specific vocabulary. Qualitative feedback indicated high student interest and satisfaction: most students reported increased confidence in speaking and active engagement with course content. These results suggest that integrating vlog assignments in a technical ESP context can strengthen both general English skills and subject-matter communication. Practical implications and limitations are discussed, and directions for future research are proposed.

Abstract

Teacher performance is the result of work completed by a teacher in carrying out their duties in accord with the responsibilities assigned. This research aims to determine the effect of education, training and work motivation on teacher performance of Babussalam junior high school Pekanbaru. The population in this study were 32 junior high school teachers in Babussalam which were taken by using total sampling technique. The instrument was used a questionnaire distributed. The data analysis technique used by path analysis. The results showed that the variable of teacher performance is excellent category with a score of 97%, the variable of education is doubt category with a score of 53%, the variable of training is excellent category with a score of 53%, the variable of work motivation is excellent with a score of 100%. While based on the results of the path analysis there was a significance between education on the work motivation that was 0.515, and education on the teacher performance that was 0.90, training on the work motivation that was 0.050, and training was a significance on the teacher performance that was 0.496, and then work motivation was significant on the teacher performance that was 0.478, and education was significant on the teacher performance by work motivation that was 0.255, and then training was significant on the teacher performance by work motivation that is 0.478. The suggestions are that every teacher must be able to follow the good education and apply it according to the learning of education that they have taken. And to the principal be more expected for all members of the school high motivation, attention for education and training that supports teacher performance. Thus, with better education and training followed by teachers and stronger work motivation, the higher performance will increase and the learning goals can be achieved optimally.

Abstract

Ibn Sina, as a prominent philosopher and Muslim scientist, offered profound thoughts on education that emphasize the balance between intellectual and moral aspects. According to Ibn Sina, education not only aims to enlighten the mind but also to shape the moral and spiritual character of students. This study aims to examine the concept of Islamic education management in the thought of Ibn Sina, focusing on the integration of rationality and spirituality as the foundation for managing education. Ibn Sina, as a prominent philosopher and Muslim scientist, not only made significant contributions in the fields of medicine and philosophy but also had profound thoughts on education. In his view, education must shape a person holistically, being intellectually sharp and spiritually mature. A qualitative approach is used in this study with a literature review method of Ibn Sina’s major works, such as Kitab al-Shifa and Kitab al-Najat, as well as relevant secondary literature. The study’s results show that Ibn Sina emphasized the importance of a logical and systematic teaching method, yet still framed within ethical and religious values. This thought is relevant in the context of contemporary Islamic education management, which faces the challenge of balancing the cognitive and affective aspects of students. Thus, Islamic education management based on Ibn Sina's thought offers an integrative model that combines intellect and spirituality in the educational process sustainably. The thought of Ibn Sina offers a holistic and sustainable model of Islamic education management. This model integrates rationality and spirituality, making it a strong foundation for building an educational system that not only focuses on intellectual achievement but also on the formation of a solid moral character. Thus, Islamic education management based on Ibn Sina’s thought holds great potential to address contemporary educational issues that are often trapped in the separation between knowledge and spiritual values

Abstract

The Provincial Government of Lampung faces significant challenges in increasing its Regional Own-Source Revenue, one of which is through the Motor Vehicle Tax sector. Despite the continuous growth in the number of vehicles, taxpayer compliance remains very low, ranging only between 30–38%. This situation directly affects the region's fiscal capacity to fund development and public services. This policy paper examines the underlying causes of low PKB revenue and formulates data-driven policy recommendations based on field surveys and public policy theories. The data analysis employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Survey results reveal that 86 percent of taxpayers encounter obstacles when paying taxes, such as long queues at Samsat offices or disruptions in the online payment system. Additionally, 44 percent of taxpayers perceive the tax payment procedures to be overly complicated. The analysis indicates that the core issue is the low compliance rate among motor vehicle taxpayers, primarily due to limited access to payment services caused by uneven digital infrastructure and restricted service hours. These factors have significantly contributed to the low PKB revenue in Lampung Province. This policy paper adopts the New Public Management (NPM) approach and the principles of Good Governance by promoting the integrated digitalization of PKB payment services through mobile and web-based applications. Furthermore, extending service hours into the evenings and weekends is recommended to provide greater time flexibility for the public. As a concrete step, it is recommended that the Provincial Government of Lampung issue a new Governor Regulation outlining the technical aspects of PKB services, including coordination among the Regional Revenue Agency, Samsat, the police department, and financial institutions. This initiative is expected to significantly enhance tax compliance, strengthen PAD, and support more autonomous and sustainable regional development.

Abstract

Reforming Islamic Education Management through Fazlur Rahman's perspective is not only theoretical but also offers practical approaches that can be adapted by Islamic educational institutions. This study aims to examine the thoughts of Fazlur Rahman in the context of reforming Islamic education management, particularly in terms of curriculum and teaching methods. Fazlur Rahman is known as a modern Islamic thinker who emphasized the importance of a contextual approach in understanding Islamic teachings, including in the field of education. Through a qualitative approach with a literature study, this research explores the key concepts offered by Fazlur Rahman, such as double movement, the integration of revelation and reason, and the importance of social ethics in the educational process. The study's findings indicate that the reform of Islamic education management from Fazlur Rahman's perspective is a strategic effort to build a contextual, responsive, and relevant Islamic education system in line with the dynamics of the times. Fazlur Rahman strongly criticized the traditional Islamic education system, which he saw as textual and formalistic, arguing that such an approach has distanced education from its transformative goals. One of Rahman's major contributions is his emphasis on the integration of Islamic values and social reality in curriculum development. By promoting the double movement approach, Rahman offers a methodological framework for developing a curriculum that is not only text-based but also capable of addressing the actual challenges of the community's life. According to Rahman, the ideal curriculum is one that unites the dimensions of revelation and rationality, spirituality and knowledge, as well as the individual and society. Fazlur Rahman advocates for the transformation of the Islamic education curriculum so that it is not merely dogmatic, but capable of responding to the needs of the times and the challenges of modern society. Teaching methods, according to Fazlur Rahman, must be dialogical, critical, and based on a contextual understanding of the Qur'an and social reality. The implications of this thinking point to the need for a dynamic, adaptive, and orientation-focused Islamic education management system that aims to shape individuals who are both religious and rational.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of students' writing skills in review texts, which is caused by the limited learning strategies that can facilitate critical and systematic thinking processes. The objective of this study  is to determine the improvement of students' review writing skills through mind-mapping techniques assisted by Xmind. This study uses the type of Classroom Action Research, which is carried out through actions consisting of 2 cycles, where each cycle has four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Research data were obtained using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, assessments, and documentation. The study showed that students' review writing skills with mind-mapping techniques assisted by Xmind had increased significantly. The average score of students' review writing skills increased in each cycle, with an average score of 70.45 for cycle I and 86.81 for cycle II. The cycle I review writing test results showed that 29 students (76.32%) achieved completeness and increased. Thus, the mind mapping technique assisted by Xmind is effectively used as a learning strategy to improve students' review writing skills. Integration of this technique into the writing learning curriculum in higher education is recommended, especially to solve the classic challenges in teaching writing.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education in exploring how fiqh and falak contribute to determining the precise timing of prayers. Prayer is one of the fundamental pillars of Islam and must be performed according to its prescribed times. In the Qur'an and Hadith, the times for prayer are mentioned based on the movement of sunlight as seen from the earth (Ru’yah Methode). However, due to changes in natural phenomena, sunlight is not always visible from the earth because of clouds or other factors. Therefore, it needs to be compared with the science of astronomy or astronomy, which has proven to be accurate and valid (Hisab Methode). Thus, in this case, there is a mutualistic symbiosis, where what is done by the ru’yah methode can be used as empirical evidence of the results of the hisab Methode, and vice versa. Islamic Religious Education teachers play an important role in guiding students to understand prayer times from the perspective of fiqh and astronomy.

Abstract

This study examined the use of Google Forms based on interactive media in the Hajj material for grade 9 students at SMP 16 Semarang and its impact on students' learning interest. The use of Google Forms is expected to enhance student engagement in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. The study adopts a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest method, involving two groups of students: the experimental group using Google Forms and the control group not using it. The analysis results indicate that the use of Google Forms significantly improved students' learning interest, as reflected by the increase in posttest scores in the experimental class compared to the control class. Positive impacts were also seen in the improvement of learning motivation, with students using Google Forms showing higher involvement in the learning process. Overall, this study shows that the application of interactive media such as Google Forms can enhance students' interest and engagement in PAI learning, especially in the Hajj material.
