Abstract

In the face of rapid industrial changes and globalization, there is a growing demand for highly skilled professionals in quality management within Indonesia. The Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (IQF) seeks to align vocational education with industry demands by establishing a clear framework of work competency standards. However, discrepancies persist between the competencies taught in vocational programs and those required in the industry, particularly in advanced areas such as data analysis and strategic quality planning. This study undertakes a systematic occupational mapping in the quality management sector to identify these gaps and develop strategies to address them. Utilizing methodologies like the Rapid Assessment Process (RAP), Gall and Borg's educational research methods, and Regional Model Competency Standards (RMCS), the study formulates a comprehensive occupational matrix. This matrix serves as a crucial tool for planning human resources, developing relevant educational and training curricula, and fostering career development aligned with market trends and needs. The research outcomes are aimed at enhancing the alignment of vocational education with industry standards, thereby increasing the employability and effectiveness of graduates in the quality management sector.

Abstract

Good governance principles are very important in the public sector because they aim to ensure that government institutions work effectively, efficiently, and responsively to the needs and aspirations of the community. Implementing good governance in the public sector not only helps increase efficiency and accountability, but also strengthens democracy and encourages public participation in the decision-making process. This research tries to discuss the extent to which the good governance principles are reflected and implemented in the recruitment and selection of candidates for civil servants. Taking the context of the recruitment and selection process in one of the districts in Indonesia, this research uses a qualitative methodology by collecting data in the form of semi-structured interviews with 25 participants from the recruitment and selection committee and the candidates of civil servants. This research found that overall, the good governance principles are relatively reflected and implemented properly in the in the recruitment and selection of candidates for civil servants although there are some indications of a mismatch between the qualifications of prospective employees and the real needs of the government institution the candidates will work for. This research also found indications of a low level of transparency in the implementation of recruitment and selection, giving rise to opportunities for favoritism and nepotism.

Abstract

Before discussing the meaning of international law, it is important to know that law is divided into two large groups, private law and public law. However, the terms these two large groups are better known as international law and international private law. The difference between the two is in the objects they regulate. International law is the law that regulates relations between countries and other legal subjects. International law can be defined as the law that regulates international scale entities. Initially, the definition of international law was only defined as law that regulates behavior and relations between countries. However, in its development, the meaning of international law has expanded to include the relationship between states and international organizations, the relationship between international organizations and other organizations, the relationship between states and individuals in special contexts, and so on. There are six subjects of international law, namely : states, international organizations, the international red cross, the vatican holy see, rebels and individuals. International Law includes a set of rules and principles established through international treaties, the practices of states, as well as legal decisions and interpretations by international institutions. Its aim is to regulate the behavior of states in maintaining peace, managing conflict, promoting cooperation, and protecting human rights. International Law covers various aspects, including the law of war (also known as international humanitarian law), refugee law, maritime law, environmental law, international trade law, international investment law, human rights law, diplomatic law.

Abstract

Humans can never know the future because it is still covered by a veil of uncertainty. For this reason, humans must be prepared to face various bad things or risks that may occur in the future. In the wake of this development, an insurance system was implemented to protect individuals and businesses from unforeseen dangers and losses. Article 57 of the National System of Science and Technology Law places the position of Indonesian researchers as an important subject that deserves serious protection from the state. Article 57 of the National System of Science and Technology Law also reflects the state's recognition of the key role of researchers in the development of science and technology. The provisions of Article 57 of the National System of Science and Technology Law also impose an obligation on the Government as the owner of the Government authority to immediately formulate clear and comprehensive regulations to ensure adequate legal protection for researchers. The author formulates that to develop science and technology by providing adequate legal protection to researchers, supporting the realization of targeted development, and improving the welfare of society, the Government needs to immediately implement a policy in the form of enforcing professional insurance for researchers which is professional indemnity insurance.

Abstract

The era of globalization, driven by advancements in science and information technology, has created a borderless world, transforming human relationships from national to international, and significantly impacting various aspects of human life. Globalization has promoted the movement of people between countries, including Indonesia and Malaysia, affecting the demographics, economy, culture, and social aspects of both countries. In this context, immigration regulations play a crucial role in controlling the flow of people and reflecting a country's legal sovereignty within its territorial boundaries. This study is a normative juridical research focusing on the analysis and comparison of immigration regulations and policies in Indonesia and Malaysia, using a Statutory and Comparative approach. Indonesian immigration policy, regulated in Law Number 6 of 2011 on Immigration, focuses on controlling the flow of people entering and leaving Indonesian territory to maintain state sovereignty. Meanwhile, Malaysian immigration policy, regulated in Malaysian Law Number 155 of 1959/63 on Immigration, covers crucial aspects such as entry and exit requirements, monitoring of foreigners, and law enforcement related to immigration violations. The immigration action policies of Indonesia and Malaysia towards immigration permit abuse have several similarities and differences. Although both countries have similar policies in handling immigration permit abuse, the implementation and law enforcement may differ depending on the specific context and conditions in each country.
